- #WithMe - Another day in lockdown, another chance for Mike to see if he can BEAT THE CHEF! In this episode, Ben challenges Mike to produce Cinnamon Pecan Rolls that are more visually impressive than his. But here’s the catch, Jamie and Barry are the judges, and they’ll be choosing the winner based on phone-shot images alone. Can Mike knock Ben off of his cheffy throne? Or will it be another EPIC fail? #WithMe

Quarantine alternative to pass-it-on: Ben teaches Mike a recipe. Mike teaches that recipe to Barry. Barry teaches that recipe to Jamie. Jamie teaches/reports it to James who critiques the changes that occurred between the beginning and the end. It will be painful for you, gentlemen, but entertaining for us.
Yes to this!
Omg you struck GOLD! Please do this!
Quarantine pass it on : recipe edition
I love this idea
Yes! But they're not allowed to take notes, they have to rely on memory.
@@giselle371 You are an evil genius.
Love that this entire episode is just "Ben, the professional chef, has nothing at home"
Too funny. I couldn't Ben doesn't have a mixer.
New video premise: Ben tests kitchen equipment he has somehow been muddling by without, like a pastry brush...
@@rosesncards im surprised with the amount of Kenwood sponsored recipes they had, they didn't offer to just give him a mixer if he wanted one.
Not even a pastry brush, 🤣🤣
Nikki H Or a challenge where the other person does have a mixer, pastry brush, etc. and Ben has to improvise and make do. 😄
Guys, has anyone else noticed how when you compliment the boys on a job well done, they express their appreciation and gratitude with the inclusion of the whole team and that's just so sweet. There's obviously so many people behind the scenes that we don't get to see.
So, if they're up for it, we'd love to have them on to thank them for the wonderful job they do to bring us these videos week after week.
We truly appreciate the whole team! Much love! ♥
Thank you so much for your lovely comment 🥰 We're all feeling very loved!
Me too thanks for being amazing as This weird time love u all sorted food team 🥰🥰
Interesting story about that. I have a group of people I have played video games with for years, we all live all spread over the United States and Canada for the most part. I mentioned SortedFoods to one of them the other day and it turns out she had been watching you for years and loves your channel. It never came up before. The more you know.
@@SortedFood Guys, there are really only a few channels I know I want each week, and yours is at the top. I don't have the kitchen to do much of what you do, yet, but one day I will and I'll come back yet again to watch and cook along.
There was a time we used to see the whole Sorted team in some videos. Rachel, Hannah, Abbie, Eddie... it was hands down my favorite Sorted era. It would be great to have something like that again
I love how they have everything in their studio but nothing in their home.
I like how Ben’s house is filled with books and gin.
perfectly balanced as all things should be...
I thought it'd be filled with with jam and innuendos
What more could you ask for?
that is a lot of GIN!
Mike has a duck
Everyone's so... nice... Ebbers, especially, is a lovely, amiable dude.
Ben: "This is the magic that's happening in your dough right now"
Mike: *DOWN IT*
Ben: ignores this immature request like any good teacher
😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Laughed out loud at that 😂😂
I know it’s a common saying that “limitations breed creativity,” but I think there is no one embodying this better than you guys. Everybody is working to keep their business or channel or what have you going, but I have felt no sense of ‘business’ from SORTED, if that makes sense. It’s been all about the community and about the boys supporting each other, and I love it so much. You’re using the opportunity to innovate and being people together, and it’s been very impressive to watch. Thanks for being a port in the storm, boys. See you tomorrow on Instagram!
Their only real source of business that I've found is the sorted club, which I'm going to be checking out very soon, now that I have a big enough kitchen to cook in 🤣
@@punk105 they had sponsorship deal with kenwood, but i don't think i have seen one in a while
@@syahrezadifachri5121 true, I forgot about that
I know they have sources of business and that there is a business to keep afloat, but they’ve seemed to be focused more on content than on their bottom line, unlike many others I’ve seen. All I’m sayin’.
You should do pass it on online
Random normal gets picked and gets controlled by everyone but there's only one way communication
Ohhhh I really love that idea.
I nominate Mike
Thumb up for this.
Or... all the normals and chefs control someone else at Sorted like Ed who usually watches the madness
Even more chaos... I love it
I hope Ben is proud of how much he's taught these boys over the years! Great win Mike!
Conspiracy theory confirmed, Mike is the only one quarantined with the actual camera 😂
He is the editor so it makes sense
The other 2 have poor shaped kitchens for filming fro. What I have seen
Sorted getting me through quarantine entertained and well fed! Ebbers, James, Mike, Jamie, Baz and the whole team responsible, you have my appreciation and respect.
Thank you - it really means a lot 🥰
Perhaps slightly overfed... 😂
@@SortedFood +1 to this comment..thanks sorted team
Week 1: Ben vs Mike
Week 2: Jamie vs James
Week 3: Barry vs A Bee

I don't get it, someone explain?

"No, I cannot knot"
"Not knot?"
"Who's there?"
"POOH!"
"Pooh who?"
Oh don't be so naughty about not being knotty!! Get knotted! :P
Are you unable to tie ...
"I don't have that but we'll make do with this" is the mood of the quarantine. Thank you everyone there for another great episode!
You must not live in the states, lol, literally every store like Walmart and Meijer is open 🤨 I feel for you
This shows how much Mike as grown and how much more confidence he has in the kitchen. Keep up the great work as always. Thank you and stay safe.
Mike’s look of defeat when he was told it would be a baking challenge had so much soul in it, Ebbers should call an exorcist
Mike's reaction when Ben tells him he made up the 30 minutes time limit
one thing i really appreciate about you guys is there's no sore losers. you always congratulate the winners even when you've lost against them even when the chefs lose against a normal it's always really wholesome and healthy there's never any bitterness or saltiness (except for in the food) it's always just sincere and impressed and it's beautiful and refreshing to watch
What I've learned after watching this episode.
1. Mike needs to get more bowls.
2. I NEED those funko POPs to go into production. My collection needs them.
Tell me about it... I am craving those funko pops so much that I would start collection them just for these... 🙄 💕
I love the fact that Mike has a little sign that says "Muggle Stuff". Speaks right into my Harry Potter-loving heart. :)
I was looking to see if anyone else had noticed this!
I really need to see Ben's Gin collection. I would love having a whole hour of him just talking about Gin
Moor Kralle yes please!!
Moor Kralle yeah man I’m down
We still need the hour long footage of Ben talking about berries 😂
"Barry, you're supposed to be self isolating." Ben with the unofficial dad joke of the week. 😂 How's Tyrone doing these days?
I laughed so hard at that hahahahah
More like, "Barry, you're supposed to *bee* self isolating." 😇
🐝 "Bee it ever so bumble, there's no place like comb." 🍯
"Down it!" - Mike, saying out loud what we're all thinking
I appreciate the effort you guys put in so much! I always look forward to these videos. The quality of content has remained and the banter is still classy despite you guys working from home! ❤🤗
🙌
I just love how kind and supportive you guys are of eachother. Like, sometimes you goof around and tease one another, but you can just tell the genuine friendship you share.
Mike: I CAN'T BELIEVE I DIDN'T LISTEN
Also Mike: Continues to not listen 😂
Mike never listens 😂
@@SortedFood Mike: What?
I would have made a spice butter paste, too.
Mike: Wins because he didn’t listen
Teaching us all the wrong lessons here XD
Sometimes the best things come from a mistake. Just look at Ebbers.
Just want to say, I've seen y'all's videos here and there on the internet in the before times, but only in the past few weeks did I take the dive into your library. Watching has really inspired me to try and be more bold and creative in my cooking! I love seeing the 'normals' improve throughout the videos, and I especially love seeing you teach and learn from each other. Your videos are nourishing in every sense of the word.
One of my favourite things about the various 'live's and videos of the lockdown is how each of you approach the camera-work and framing. Ben, traditional and staged, Jamie freestyled and often moving into handheld for trips around the kitchen. Baz gets great visuals, but stands so far away from the camera that you can never hear his mumbling, Mike contorts himself into any manner of uncomfortable looking positions to get himself in shot, and James just doesn't give one and has his head out of shot 95% of the cooking time. Really appreciate all your work guys; just great.
I'm gonna say it.. Mike's buns won.
I'm actually surprised at the lack of equipment at Ben's house. I thought he'd have like 10 of everything and ... Mike has no bowls. Now we know.
I was so shocked when Ben said he didn't have a pastry brush! And here I am a total normal and I have two
L McGlinchey Now see if Siri can tell the difference between cool and call when you say them
Mike's got the buns, hun.
Yeah, I have more equipment than both of them together. And I cook as a hobby.
I'd bet Ben takes most of his equipment to work. And thus finds himself at a loss at home!
When you're back in a studio you should do a pass it on where someone has to sabotage the dish without being found out! (Trapped vibes anyone? 😂)
Literally thought of this idea this morning!
We like this idea! Mwahahaha
WOW thats a great idea
This is absolute genius.
SORTEDfood bonus points if you don’t even tell the audience and we have to guess as it goes along
The level of quality of these videos is amazing considering the circumstances. Really appreciate everything the Sorted team is doing to keep us entertained, thank you!
"STOP fiddling. Wash your hands!"
Okay, mommy Ben 😂😂
Yay the return of the super geek!
He's SUPER GEEKY!
Mike is straight up killing these at home challenges! Way to go not-quite-normal anymore! ♡
Jamie: Is Mike up to the challenge?
Mike: STRUGGLES TO TIE APRON BEHIND HIS BACK
😂poor Mike
Mike‘s been cooking for so long but he doesn’t have any mixing bowls - how?? I’ll start a fundraiser so he can buy himself some
He probably doesn't bake much! I know I don't, and I've never missed a mixing bowl.
@@kaldogorath But they can be used for so much. I used mine for mixing up meatballs the other day. If you get certain ones, like some Pyrex bowls, you can snap a lid on them and use them for short term storage in the fridge.
@@NotContinuum I don't have a lot of storage space where I live now and mixing bowls tend to be large. I do have some pyrex 'tupperware' actually, but it's all square and rectangle lol.
@@kaldogorath I store mine on top of the microwave which is on a rolling cart. I'm thinking of getting those command strips to start hanging stuff from the walls and inside cabinet doors. I turned a linen closet into a pantry. Get creative. It's actually more fun than you think.
I sometimes just use the bowl of the rice cooker. Its large and nonstick.
"I mean, that's a vessel", said Ben, proving in that moment why I love him. ♡
love mike's vintage primary school teatowel... everyone who grew up in britain from about 1985-2000 has one
My parents still use my pre-school tea-towel (c.2001) and my primary school peg bag (c.2005). Love those things.
Why do you take a tea towel to school?
@@traceysullivan5357 Cut to 10:52 - it's a tea towel (or other fabric item, but usually a tea towel) where all the kids in the school drew themselves and it got printed onto a tea towel with the year and the name of the school, for parents to purchase. Most schools did them, so most British families will have a tea towel with scribbly stick-figures drawn by small children.
In the U.S. it was the same thing but with plates!
@@saxyrocks When I was a kid in elementary school in the early 90s we just created holiday ornaments with craft paper, popsicle sticks, and fabric, along with small painted ceramic figures.
I am loving these Mike cooks at home with a chef videos. Ben is so supportive too. I should definitely say the oozieness makes Mike's look more appetising while Ben has the twisting technique spot on.
Spending my quarentine rewatching all the previous Fridge Cam series 😝🤷♀️ Thanks guys for the entertainment xxx❤️❤️

I love the ingenuity of using a saucepan as a bowl and such! It shows that you don't need a ton of fancy items to make awesome food.
Aaah it was so nice to see Ben's face today. He just irradiates calmness :)
As much as I love mike's fancy apron, I can't wait for Barry to keep all the hobs on in his house

Fantastic advice as usual Ben
I love that you all are embracing the challenge of providing quality content while in isolation. I'm enjoying it all. Thank you!!
Nice work, Mike! Good coaching, Ben! I get how the filling looks gooey and chunky and more inviting in Mike's but if you look at the cross-sections, I can imagine that Ben's was much lighter and fluffier. Wish Ben had one ready to taste on camera too. It's funny how food videos always feel more complete when someone eats the finished product.
Even in lockdown you guys are killing it. Ben always coming through with the food knowledge that I need to hear.
"So shines a good deed in a weary world." I needed this happy and funny video today. Thank you so much!!
Thank you, Sorted, for bringing so much joy to all of us with your kindness to one another.
I would love it if the boys gave tours of their home kitchens or their go to at home recipes. It would be great!
I love this channel so much! I've watched your videos for a few years now! In the comments Jamie gets a lot a grief but he is my favourite 😄 love you mate!!
I’ve missed the super geek theme song!!
Me: Why is Mike's voice so deep on the Intro?
Also me after brain turns on: Oh, because it's Jaime!
Well done to the guys for still making content during quarantine. You’re real heroes 👏👏👏
I love that Mike is getting more (in front of) camera time these days!! Always here for Mike content.
I love the cute little details on Mike's house. I love seeing his character in his kitchen and it shows
I love these videos you guys are putting out in spite of self-isolation. The Sorted team rocks! 😍
These look delicious! I'm a bit surprised by the oven temperature, especially the 190° referenced by Ben - the standard here in Sweden is 175°.
Regarding the filling, I think there are two main schools of thought here: some will spread softened butter on the rolled out dough and then sprinkle their spice and sugar mixture over that, and others prefer to mix softened butter with the rest and spread it all on at once. The latter is obviously the superior way, but I respect other people's right to bake weirdly ❤️
I've got some flour on the way (a LOT of flour, I'm splitting my grocery delivery with parents and siblings who are all on a baking kick right now), I'll make sure to replenish my cinnamon and cardamom stock as well. And a big box of pearl sugar, can't make cinnamon buns without a sprinkling of that!
I love that weve seen the normals learn so much over the years and the chefs are just like proud teachers that it actually stuck.
Im also convinced Mike is a super taster
Love how Mike is getting more screen time!!! Where's the recipe for this?
I’m honestly so impressed with all the content they’re continuing to put out during lockdown. I don’t think anyone expected the daily live-streams to have to go on for so long but they’re brilliant!! It’s so good of them to take time out of their lives to prep and go live every day (especially working around wives and kids) as well as continuing to prep other content and all the other projects. Great job guys!!!
The finalized thumbnail looks like Ben is some kind of player. Absolutely here for it.
Hey everyone at SORTEDfood! I discovered you about a month ago, and you're become essential to my mental health. Stay safe, keep cooking!
Also, is it just me, or does this angle.make Mike's dimple more pronounced?
*tries hard to remember that he is a married man*
😂
We remind ourselves of the fact each video 😂
Get a grip ffs
The fact that Mike screwed up... also became the reason he won 😂
Maybe he was planning it.... or not lol
Maybe he's a natural! His instinct won him the match.
Nick Miller possibly, depends how much faith you put into him lol
As someone that made cinnamon Buns yesterday, Mikes method of mixing the butter with the filing ingredients was the right way to do it. Ben should have told him to spread it on only half since he was going to fold it over. It would have resulted in a more even coat. Mike wins once again over Ben!
You guys are so awesome!! Thank you for continuing to post videos and keep us entertained
You guys are the sole reason behind why many people are being able to get through these terrible times. Good job Team Sorted, keep it up! :)
These look so good! I'm definitely going to have to make these for iftar some day!
Thanks for the videos you guys, really helping me get through the lockdown, thank you for all the effort you put into it!

As a percussionist, I’m fond of the drum embedded in Ebbers’ wall. As a fan of Ebbers-isms, I’m delighted by the book in Ebbers’ living room called “Size Matters.”
What I love about you boys is the way you treat each other like brothers. you remind me of myself and my 4 sisters when we get together. other folks just laugh at us!
If this is just a Mike-focused series, I'm even more invested than I was in Sorted. And considering I have a Fridgecam tattoo, that's saying a lot. Mike is amazing (as are all of you).
A wonderful substitute during these strange times! It makes me happy to see everyone staying safe & healthy while showing that life and fun times can continue!!
Would love to see an episode on the kitchen equipment and gadgets each chef and none chef uses at home while we're in the lockdown! great video!
These videos are a great idea. Whoever came up with it, well done! (Though I'm not sure Mike would thank you!) The variety of things you have on here never ceases to amaze me. Thanks guys, and to all the team behind the scenes. You never fail to put a smile on my face.
Brilliant use of being stuck inside, great series
I LOVE these remote nstr action episodes! It's REALLY about following instructions😍 I believe the Boys have suprised themselves with their learned technical skills!😘
Does Ben have different spectacles on today? They match his shirt!
*Very handsome Ebbers*
I know you get hundreds of comments, but I just want you all to know you've made the world of food so much more accessible to people like me. Just a few years ago I was incredibly intimidated by any sort of real cooking, and after watching so many of your videos and incorporating your techniques and more importantly your good attitude, I've been able to level up my own skills. So thank you! Stay safe and well
Is anyone else interested in the Mike's ducky bottle cover? Wonderful job the both of you! Both knots looked so good for different reasons.
I think Ben and I could have a very symbiotic relationship. He has too much delicious food. I am very good at eating delicious food. Perfect.

I love the creativity you guys have while isolating. Motivating
Is it possible, that mike has the by far best record at beat the chef, even better than the chefs?
My mouth is watering for one of those twists. Unfortunately I don't have icing sugar at home. Mike, thanks for showing us you don't need special baking equipment to make the twists and also making it in a small kitchen. Good show!!😀

Thank you Sorted for continuing to make videos through quarantine! It's because of you that I know when it is Wednesday and Sunday!
NGL, I love these videos because it better shows the reality of cooking in a home kitchen, where you might not have all of the tools and utensils that they do in the studio kitchen. I couldn't count the number of times I've mixed a cake batter in a saucepan or brushed egg wash onto scones with my fingers; seeing these guys do the same makes the videos so much more relatable. :)
Wow last time I was this early to something we were still allowed out of the house!
