Not only did that jumpscare get me, it got my wife who's sitting in the living room and caught the end through our glass office doors. Yet another stellar entry in the Lotta Ghostsinmyhouse Cinematic Universe!
They ALL still make shorts. Even commercials and music videos despite some having Oscars. They don't get paid a tremendous amount of money for things like....I don't know....an Endgame. Plus. The job is essentially seasonal.
Two things I learn watching your shorts: 1) Your wife is GREAT at looking scared while still managing the supernatural really calmly. 2) You have no cat.
Oh WOW, David, I was thinking you'd probably not be making a short for a long time. Holy shit, thank you very much, I LOVE watching your short films too. You are such an outstanding inspiration to me. I hope we see the "making of" for this one as well. Thank you.
Man, Lotta's had a rough 2 weeks. Had a creature in her bedroom when she turned the lights out, got dragged into a coffer, got stuck in a picture, couldn't get out of a corridor, had some issues in an attic, creature on her bed, one in the living room... maybe she just needs a holiday at this point.

Theeeeeeey're baaaaack! Return to the PSCU (Ponysmasher Cinematic Universe) where Lotta is constantly terrorized by creatures from beyond. The next film has to be her in therapy.
REALLY appreciate that you have done big Hollywood films, and yet still return to small-scale, intimate short films on RUclips. Excellent work, as always, from both you and Lotta.
I initially thought this was going to be a direct copy-and-paste of the first short, but you actually took everything about the original and cranked it up to ten. That final scare made me jump out of my seat. 😅
A sequel that’s better than the original is extremely rare - but you somehow pulled it off. Very well done. Can’t wait to see what your next feature horror film will be!
Man I love that you still do these. It’s always a pleasure going to see your feature films in theaters remembering that the original Lights Out short was how I first heard of you and became a fan, so it’s really awesome that to this day you’re still making these incredibly well made horror shorts.
Thank you so much, David, for continuing to direct these short horror films even after making it big in Hollywood! We are forever grateful! And an extra special thanks to Lotta for allowing herself to be terrorized by all these ghosts and demons! What a trooper!
Holy crap!! You can't imagine the mega smile on my face when I read the youtube notification about a new horror shortfilm by you! That smile remained in my face during the whole short (slightly changing during the creepy shots haha). Awesome to see you keep making this kind of films. Looking forward to your breakdown of it!
Love how a really simple concept can be really scary without expensive sets, CGI or gore if done right. Many horror movies get that wrong, they also build all this backstory but when it comes to the scare they don't give it enough time
David.. just want you to know a lot of us appreciate you and your journey man. I was in my senior year of college when my wife and I came across your Lights Out short then your feature released. It brought me to tears cause my mom battled mental illness and the journey the brother and sister went through mirrored what my sister and I felt, and endured. Inspired by your journey, I sent out my short film and “Atomic Monster” asked me for my pitch of a feature length version. Turned down.. haha! I told them it wasn’t a horror movie (it’s more than that) Anyway, we appreciate you man, thanks for inspiring a lot of us.
Yes! He’s back. More! More! More! Love your big budget films but these shorts are the epitome of someone who loves filmmaking and they’re amazing. Great to see a filmmaker that is still grounded after all these years and still loves making shorts. Absolutely love them and Lotta has has once again delivered. Just quickly, I want to thank you for sharing everything you do here, your personal experiences and behind the scenes material. It’s all very inspirational.
Frick! That was a very good setup at the end there. That wasn't what I expected and I didn't see it coming. It's comforting to think you're following the monsters 'rules'... until you realize they don't have rules...
I'm not usually into horror movies, but David, I've been following you since your original "Lights Out" short cuz I was intrigued by your style. Your use of lighting, sound and unique & modern nightmarish storylines has captivated me and created a fan for life. I can't help but to fall in love with Lotta through all your chilling shorts, so I found myself yelling "Lotta, Get out of the car! Lotta, NOOOO!" in the bridge scene in Shazam two. Thank you for reaching into my imagination with your cold, decaying arm and twisting my insides with your creativity! You're the best!
Y’all are amazing as always. Might be my favorite shirt from y’all. Can’t wait to see y’all return to horror again. You can also tell how you’ve grown as a filmmaker with this too. I wish I had a marriage likes yalls
Aside from how effective the tension is, I love that your house has a little alcove for an old-fashioned telephone. I want one just for its aesthetic value.
the fact that david is a fully fledged hollywood director and is still staying true to his roots of homespun micro horror shorts is honestly very encouraging for the rest of us still looking up at the ladder.
Great trailer for "Making Cam Closer II", just teasing, great work as usual it's so inspiring that you're still doing this and sharing the behind-the-scenes.
Awesome Trailer! Can't wait for the BTS to come out! Fr, tho. Cam Closer was the short who introduced me to your work, and it will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you, David! What you create is really magnificent.
LOVED it! As per usual. Fantastic stuff, and I’m glad to see you still doing this kind of cool little thing. Really looking forward to the BTS material.
Love it! Great to see you back enjoying yourselves making shorts. Bet it’s a breath of fresh air just being able to create and shoot on your own again 🎉
You're my favorite director and my inspiration. Nobody except you makes 100 million dollar superhero movies and then makes no budget shorts w/ behind the scenes. I learned so much from your channel and actually went on to make a financially successful supernatural horror indie movie using the majority of the knowledge from your channel. I seriously cannot thank you enough for everything you do and still having the amateur spirit to inspire other filmmakers like me.
This was awesome! I loved the switch up to way more handheld shots. Even the lighting was far brighter than usual. You've come into your own so much as a director that you can depend solely on your ability to build tension and pay it off with clever scares really well. Yes!
Even though I don't do anything related to movies or cinematography (it's been in my mind for years), you are a HUGE inspiration. This short was awesome as always.
Yikes!! Excellent scare and very good acting. Horror in your safe and familiar living room is even more terrifying. Excuse me, I must go change my undies.
I saw it on my RUclips homepage last night when I got in bed and thought, nope! It will have to wait until daylight hours. I can watch regular horror films with no issue, but David's shorts stick with me way too long.
What a bloody terrific short. Simple but so effective. I never knew what was about to come next, and the resolution of each situation subverted my expectations in a way that made me poop my pants. Would go as far as to say that this is possibly the best horror short from the certified smasher of ponies. 10/10
It truly SCARED THE LIVING HELL outta me that final jump-scare… bad idea to watch it on a SmartTV big screen with quality sound, since I had to watch through my finger, suspense is totally on point! How fantastic to have a sequel from the 2013 first film “Cam Closer” now with “Cam Closer II” this 2023!, right after “Shazam 2: Fury of the Gods” premiered! We’ll be waiting for your new horror movie “BELOW” for Netflix! Keep making horror shorts, I always enjoy them!
Please, don't ever stop making these shorts, definitely the best ones on youtube! PS: I absolutely LOOOOVE Lotta's outfits! She's not only talented, but also gorgeous and well-dressed 😍
haha thoroughly enjoyed this! It's incredibly cool that you go from directing the Shazams back to RUclips short films and then onto another big movie.
haha thoroughly enjoyed this! lt's incredivly cool that you gool
haha thoroughly enjoyed this! lt's incredibly cool that you go directimg the shazams back to youtube short films and then ontro ano😢😢
The amount of spooky demons your wife has to deal with I swear haha
We need a whole feature film of her fighting them off Evil Dead style!
That would be so cool!
his wife is killed in nearly everything he's made if not all.
Lotta vs. The Creepy Dead! I smell a franchise!
We need funding for a film with her as the lead.
Maybe she could join Ash if Bruce Campbell made a comeback.
I am so glad we’re still getting these incredible horror shorts! and a sequel to the best one, it must be Christmas

That last jump scare actually gave me a mini heart attack. I was watching this in a dark room. Man, I Enjoyed this!
bro it's 12:40 PM here and I still screamed, I feel you
Me too!
I love that you two are still doing your thing on RUclips. You remain just a couple of folks who love making movies.
Oh WOW, David, I was thinking you'd probably not be making a short for a long time. Holy shit, thank you very much, I LOVE watching your short films too. You are such an outstanding inspiration to me. I hope we see the "making of" for this one as well. Thank you.

Maybe it's time to move to a new home
Lotta needs to move FR
Wouldn't be surprised if even she did go on a holiday, these creatures and monsters are everywhere and anywhere, to catch an unfortunate lonely soul

I think you missed the duplicating closet/alternate universe clones part
This trailer for the making of is sooo good!! 🎉

The ending scared the s**t out of me! This was brilliant!
Damn did you have to change pants? Did you shart loudly?

The best way to celebrate the original short

The perfect sequel I never knew I wanted! Incredible
The legend returns. Thanks for all the inspiration David!
something about this one is just perfect it feels extra real
I love these short films you and Lotta make, I hope you never get bored of making them.

Love the fact that you're still making these shorts!! Always an amazing watch! 👻
Thank you so much for making another short film . We love it . Lotta is wonderful.

Awesome guys! I wanna see Lotta win some battle against those evil creatures, at least once. She deserves it! Pretty beautiful house btw.
The phone call was an excellent false jumpscare, I love it 😀

I was scared to death. Amazing work David. (Give Lotta a break. She's always being scared)
Great trailer for "Making Cam Closer II", just teasing, great work as usual it's so inspiring that you're still doing this and sharing the behind-the-scenes.
Omg, the stair thing scared me! And Loita is amazing as always❤
This lovely lady is a fantastic actress, and this is one the scariest short horrors I have seen in a long, time, just brilliant to watch. 😅😅❤🎉
Thank you both for this! A nice jumpscare for breakfast is a lovely detail in an anniversary! 😱🤩🤭👏
underrated- the first "scammer likely" scare in movie history (which often terrifies me in real life)

Man, this is a really cool piece of work. Saw hundreds of horror movies yet yours are stunning.
Love when we get a new horror short from David and Lotta. You always find little, clever ways to do the expected in an unexpected way.
Love this, I missed your short films. Lotta did a great job.
Friendly Space Ninja recommended your channel to us! He’s right, it doesn’t disappoint. You are extremely talented. Keep up the good work!

Smart directing, playful edit, and frightening storyline.
Even tho I don't like horror films, this was really good.
Love it!!! I still have cold chills!!!! 🫨😳🙈
As usual, well done, David and Lotta!!!!
Damn, the thing crawling up the stairs slowly made my skin crawl
The film I needed today. Thank you for still making short films.
Welcome back! I was waiting your retrun. Great performance Lotta!
A horror short from David always is a treat 😍
Yes!!!! Loved it. Time to rewatch all of your short films again! Thanks David and Lotta!
Amazing! So effective with such simple production!
Thanks for the goosebumps Lotta and David! Looking forward for the feature film !
So good. Love that yall are still doing this together!
Gosh, I love your short horror films so much. I love Shazams and Annabelle, but your shorts are just outstanding. Thank you!
Poor Lotta seems to have the worst luck with the Supernatural. At least that superhero saved he that time she had bridge trouble.
I loved it! Thank you so much for this. Your shorts are brilliantly done and really inspiring.
Love that you're still doing these shorts and continuing to hone your skills in suspense and misdirection.
Love these shorts, and this one was GREAT again. The last shot i got frekkin' goosebumps
I was laughing through the entire movie until the end where the jump-scare got me 😭😂 this could definitely pass as a horror comedy. Well done! 👏
At this point, Lotta has been in so many spooky situations, she’s willing to just go right up to the ghost and touch it 😂
This was awesome! I loved the switch up to way more handheld shots. Even the lighting was far brighter than usual. You've come into your own so much as a director that you can depend solely on your ability to build tension and pay it off with clever scares really well.

You have a lovely home by the way. All the potted foliage around made the ghost feel like a tiger lurking in the jungle.
Thank you for always making these shorts in between features. It's a huge inspiration to this filmmaker.
Tim
Love that you're still doing these!
I love this so much. You make my saturday nights so much more fun. Thank you both.
Your horror shorts are so fucking good, man.
I watched this at full volume cuz THAT'S WHAT YOU DO WITH A PONYSMASHER FILM
This is how you do jump scares! Masterclass in tension and scares packed into a short. Awesome work!
Holymoly. I was hoping so long for another short from you! I love your Shorts since the beginning. Thank you David!❤
What a throwback haha! That was awesome! 🖤
As always, great suspense and kudos to Lotta's acting skills. I missed seeing your shorts.
Even though I don't do anything related to movies or cinematography (it's been in my mind for years), you are a HUGE inspiration. This short was awesome as always.
Yikes!! Excellent scare and very good acting. Horror in your safe and familiar living room is even more terrifying. Excuse me, I must go change my undies.

this guy singlehandedly makes the best horror shorts on youtube.
I saw it on my RUclips homepage last night when I got in bed and thought, nope! It will have to wait until daylight hours. I can watch regular horror films with no issue, but David's shorts stick with me way too long.
I mean he’s a professional director in real life so of course 😂
Amazing 🎉 I was ready the whole time, and you still got me to get startled and jump lol classic!!!
I’m on set filming a new horror short and this came out. HOLY CRAP!!
That last scene was the best jump scare I have ever had. Im subscribing and not gonna look back. Brilliantly done.
Ok, you gave me chills. That's more than what I could say about anything else I've seen lately. Great job, David!
What a bloody terrific short. Simple but so effective. I never knew what was about to come next, and the resolution of each situation subverted my expectations in a way that made me poop my pants. always love your short movie, and Lotta acting is great
Welcome back!
I am so stoked to see you still making these.
It's so much fun seeing you improve your craft over the years. Great job as always David!

I love how where ever David lives he happens to have creaky floorboards 😅 fantastic job !
That is so true .
