The oil cooler setup on the Evo X engine has a thermostatic switch mounted on the front of the oil filter flange next to where you mount your oil pressure sensor. That’s what controls when the oil needs to go to the oil cooler or not. Your new engine just has a plug by the looks of it, so ioil is either going to the cooler 100% off the time or never.
Should have disclosed it was out of a Ralliart when I sold it to you! Didn’t think about it cause I knew they are exactly the same! Lmk if you need another 4b11t I got 2 more😂👍
Bro, It will surely be a hell of a transformation, if not one of your best transformations... In a virgin engine and with a turbo of that size, it will surely make you smile in amazement because these engines can withstand a lot of beatings and I bet it will give you a few 650hp on the power bank... Hugs from Portugal
Surely all motors aren't built equally but that's actually a really good test to be properly documented rather than the usual assumption or theoretical whp attainable on this motor.
You are so lucky dude. My built Rb26 got toasted when i ran lean. Burnt 4 out of my 6 Wiseco pistons, distorted the head, melted valves, melted sparkplug threads, pitted bores etc... Disaster.
Ralliart motors are the exact same as the evo motors. Only difference between the two is the turbo setup and intercooler. Injectors and fuel pump are same.
@19:56 you have your oil pressure sensor off a dead end line that is T'd off the oil gallery. that line is full of air, air doesent compress like oil, oil pressure gauges are always T'd off a pathway in the oil system, the sensor is never a dead end to a t'd off oil path, as that path will be full of air and the air has nowhere to escape in order for the line to fill with oil so that the sensor and read a presure reading from said compressed oil in the dead end line, you would have to crank the car with the sensor unplugged from that dead end line, then once oil is pushing all air out of that line, THEN you can install the sensor in order to get a proper oil presure reading. as you currently have it set up, it is impossible for the air to escape that line that has the oil pressure sensor attached to it, presure sensors are always t'd in the middle of an oil passage way, it is never its own pathway, as that air trapped in that dead end line can never eascape to get an accurate oil pressure reading.

Devin, I own ralliart and can assure you that there is no difference between RA and EVO engines at all. European version of RA has an oil coolers but a bit smaller than EVO has. That is going to be a laggy boy with a stock motor and that big of turbo. It needs valve springs, cams and head studs at least to be able to turn it up some and extend out that rpm range to really benefit from that size turbo.
Do you run VR-1 oil on catted cars all the time? Some people say it's not good for the cat but I can't imagine it would make that much of a difference unless you have a ton of blow by
as far as I can tell the only difference between the 4b in the evo and the 4b in the ralliart is the oil cooler and the turbo is single scroll from factory on the ralliart. Maybe injectors are different but I'm pretty sure the engines internally are the same
I like that you don't drag out a engine install to 37 parts

Motor is the same 4B11T between ralliart and evo x. Just need to swap the oil thermostat if your going to use an oil cooler.
You're friggin crazy, I love these type of experiments, content is content homeboys
Zero difference when it comes to the engine - same 4b11 as the Evo. Interchangeable through and through 🤙🏻

Looks like the engine is strapped to the turbo. 😁

For me same setup , only changes would be color changes Nardo Grey body , gunmetal TE with blue Volks Sticker on wheel and matching blue brembos
i honestly think the bigger turbo will be a lot better in terms of longevity for the stock motor. excited to see what she puts down!
Won’t hit as hard as a small turbo with all the torque they generate

Devin is that the EVO Abandon ( the wire problem that you took about two or three time ( plug on the fuse block or whatever it was)
No, he sold that one, this is his OG half wrap EVO X
Bro is so fast at pull downs and rebuilds
Rallyart is a 4B12 2.4Ldepending on the year that's the same one I got a 4B12 in my Lancer GT 2.4L love it
all raliart 2l they were never 2.4. smaller turbo ic and injectors that about it

I believe the only difference internally is the cams. From factory tho they have battery in the engine bay, different air induction setup.
@@RTX007 cams are identical no difference
Engine is identical in the X and RA
Injectors are the same. Turbo and gearing in the SST are the only difference.
Where did you buy this 4b11t stock motor?
Hell yeah! Good stuff
Sam's engine dude, also what's going on with that air con condensor
That thumbnail is perfect 😂😂💀
Hi Devin what was the source of the burn valve on the Evo X love your video you make
It was a gummed up injector from sitting with E85 in it or a bad coil, that's what Devin said in the video

Testing for the science 🚀🚀🚀

From what I’m reading 600 on a stock 4b11 with a upgraded turbo
New engine is the new Evo
what is the name of that red on his evo x valve cover?
Ticking time bomb
how much was the new motor

Zero F’s given and I like it lol 😂
I like a little engine with my turbo.
Side winder kit needed lol
Love the title😂
That Evo looks and sounds way better than the Sti. Sorry Bobby!🤷🏽♂️
Mmmm....forjar motor completo ! Si o si ....después ...
We should be having a poll to which piston is going to say hello first
If bader tunes it it’s gonna die on the dyno haha

Damn 28 old bro? Im 38 and I dont feel old at all

That stock head isn’t going to life it when you try to rev it out to spool up that turbo
I think it would be fun to make your thumbnails for you.
im making 605 with a stock engine on hub dyno evo x
500 to 550 will be overkill, but it can handle. 600 will be death for this engine. Anyway let's test it out. 🤟
there people making 700hp+ on stock 4b11 and one of them has 200 passes on it an other been in car for year
How much did you pay for that engine?
