My buddy made a little over 600 on his stock internal Evo X… I thought that was insane. This is on another level! Congrats!! Lol
Most engines can handle more than advertised given the variables aren't in a critical state
I find these stock motor videos to be super informative. It's good to know the true potential of your stock motor so you already know when you're entering the "danger zone". I have a 2013 veloster and there's barely anything out there as far as pushing it to its limits but I'd love to know. Great video btw.
I'm flying out to pick one of these up next week so this helps me out immensely. I have a decent little build planned but at least I know I can play around until then.
I wouldn't mess too much with a hyunday motor not to hate, i just replaced way too much of them in the shop with the boys

@le_pingouinChristopher not the N motors, they use basically the same block as the evox, and caliber srt4's. he has a normal veloster. I've never seen a blown motor from the N models except probably 2 when they moneyshifted it, the dangers of auto rev match i guess.
@@commentmancommentman1658the Evo X has the 4B11T the SRT4 Caliber has the 4B12T. I didn't know the Veloster N had a similar motor though
@irlredline7965 it was part of the development, mitsu dodge and hyundai engineered the 4b11 block, thats why the veloster N can also fit the evox oil filter. I believe they all use the same pistons, rods and crank its just the difference between the 3 are the head.

I'm not worried anymore of making 400-450HP on my Evo now lol
450-500 is nothing on the 4B. Still in the safe region. Keeping the motor alive is all based on torque. How it's ramped in, etc. Our motors are extremely stout otherwise. Torque kills the 4B11.
Lmao bro right. Then again, it might not be reliable at 800 to run for more than a year plus.
@meCmoni if you get a year or more out of an untouched factory motor making 800whp in general. To me that's pretty impressive. Especially if the car is beaten down regularly for that said year.
