@@Stefan_W. I think the point was that cycling has become a global sport which can only be positive. That people from all over the world can see someone from their own country/continent succeed. I cannot imagine what a boost for cycling in Africa Girmay's jersey is.

Pog raced down that descent like a demon on rails! This despite saying at yesterday's presser that he would be more conservative and avoid risks.I was probably more nervous than him just watching.
Overall, it has been an incredible win, breaking all kinds of records along the way, which even he will find difficult to match in the next few years. He would also be an overwhelming favourite to win the World Championships now, though perhaps not the Olympics.

How can you not enjoy watching someone like Tadej. He seems to be developing into not just a super strong rider but he is maturing in his approach to the race. Marking Jonas on the climb in stage 20 was priceless. Making the race even better was watching you recap each day. Looking forward to the Vuelta hearing what you have to say. I believe that some team out there is missing the boat by not having you as race director.

    • @J-cz7yv

People will say they don’t like watching him because he’s greedy. I say we need more greedy riders! Pushes everyone else harder and animates the race in a way that I haven’t seen in last 15 years. The way he chased down Jorgensen was epic, that hunt was legendary watching him snatch up the breakaway riders!

As always Chris, thanks and great job breaking it down for us. Pogacar has really put on a show for us, and it was great to see Matteo emerge as a future challenger for the Tour de France.

Chris - thanks for making the TdF so entertaining, gonna have serious withdrawals for our daily Butterfly Effect.
Kudos to Pogi for superhuman domination, Jonas for pure heart, and to Jorg for a massive step forward in 2024. US cycling has reason for huge optimism, Jorg can certainly podium a GT.

Thanks Chris! Started to watch your vids in the middle of TdF, will continue in the future! Good job and great to hear some professional voice of rationalism while analysing the stages instead of dope-bullying morons.

Carapaz riding the TT in regular cycling gear was SO BADASS 😎

A pretty emphatic result in the end, Giro-esque time gaps. I was pleased to see Remco get thru the mountains so consistently, another Vuelta meltdown would have really heaped the pressure on him, as he alluded to in interviews after the TT. He got to see, as you had suggested last year, how TP and JV race at this level, which should make 2025 an even better and more hyped event, as barring another Basque country disaster, these three should be the podium again next year.

Fabulous TDF, I hope Pog does do the Vuelta and it would be good to see the top 4 go against each other. I think Pog will be on another level, but would be closer.
