Definitely agree with you on resale figures - I’ve always been a mainstream player but with their issues and current prices there asking , not anymore , thankfully there’s other options now , I believe with proper care and services it will last just as long with no more issues than what you’d get with main players , as a mechanic aswell ford ranger is the most common ute towed into my workshop , mainly let down by poor quality components that’s let go such as plastic coolant hose pipes and turbo intercooler hoses and weird electrical issues
Think about the need for a bull bar. I have an expensive bar on my Ranger and it's pretty much the most expensive aerial holder ever. If you're towing a van at night, you're doing something wrong. What's the chances of hitting a cow or a roo during daylight hours? Park up by 4 and open a beer. I wouldn't get a bull bar/roo bar again. With the sensors and air bag compliance, they're over $3K. A winch can be mounted around a smaller push bar and if you want a lot of lights, question how much you'll be driving at night. Save yourself the weight and money. With the sensors and air bag compliance, you'll spend over $3K. Good review thanks
@wheelsbytheocean I've been humming and haaing back and forward on bull bar or no bar and only reason I really want one is to fit a winch but it's adds weight and then reduces tow capacity and payload. I watched your lift kit video yesterday and that made a big difference which gives that extra clearance for front bar. Probably wait till I hit something and get in on insurance.
@DanielSan-ch7dr hahaha wait till you hit something haha just saying what everyone's thinking aye hahaha Yeah still on the fence I do love the look of a bullbar though 😏
Just bought a cab chassis with a tray version after 7 years in a Triton…but after some concerns about going Chinese I’m so impressed! GWM have massively lifted their game and compared to the competition this is seriously good value. I shopped around before taking the plunge and came away wondering how the top three can charge so much for some pretty basic spec gear. Roomy, quiet, comfortable ,easy on fuel, albeit with some strange quirky things that are minor issues in the overall package, but the killer warranty is unbeatable. Very happy convert.
Good review mate , the only negs with mine (41K on the clock) is that the first 700kms in , i noticed my steering was a bit 'knocky' when turned from side to side. I took back to GWM , and they replaced the rack under warranty 👍. The dpf burnoffs are a little annoying , and if you turn the car off when its doing one, ( 3× times consecutively)it will go into limp with a check engine light ( easy to override and clear ).Also GWM told me to bring it in for a recall ( change headrests to satisfy ANCAP 5star rating ) , funny enough , i removed centre rear, as it obstructs my view. It could also do with a rear seat roof light, as its totally black back there when trying to grab groceries out at nite. I've a new Paj Sort Exceed all my mates said they are to slow and only tow 3.1t. Our van only weighs 1.5 t and we spent a month in Tassie and it absolutely creamed the tough mountains there, speed to me is a non issue as I'm yet to drag off anyone when towing. I do have a throttle controller but only used it a few times. Thanks for the review.
Thanks for watching mate! Haha yeah that's right! Everything is too slow! You gotta have a landcruiser v8 twin turbo with a million kilowasps hahaha The little 4 cylinder turbo diesels are amazing!
Good review mate, been following and your early vids helped me in choosing the Cannon-L. I've done 5000km, mostly highway driving, no towing yet. Couple of minor issues. A couple of times something happens with the sensors or cameras and it tells you it cant read speed signs or the collision avoidance wont work, but then it fixes itself. Doesn't affect its driving though. It also surges a bit, especially when its warming up. Got a clean bill of health for the first service though so all good. Agree with the below comments on the lack of an interior light in the rear of the cabin, a bit annoying. I too dislike the auto lane guidance, I wish it gave you an option to turn it off and keep it off instead of it resetting each time you turn off the car. I would have thought an easy fix for a software update. I also dislike the fact that when you've slowed down say in a car park or coming up to some traffic lights and the cameras come on, you cannot make any adjustments like turning down the volume on the radio. And if anyone is thinking of buying one with roof racks (bars) installed, don't. Get good aftermarket ones. The "GWM" ones supplied with mine make a ridiculous amount of noise, especially when it's windy. I'm getting a canopy on mine very soon. I've never had one on any of the utes I've had so I'm looking forward to seeing how that goes. And see how it goes on a trip up NW of WA later this year. You've covered all the pluses of owning this vehicle, so not going to comment on that. Cheers..
a bit late too add this - but regarding the space in the ute - I have a 6foot 3 son that told me that he is more comfortable in the back of my Cannon than what he was sitting in the back of my 200 series Cruiser
Great video, really makes you think about buying a new Hilux/Ranger/Colorado etc. I'd say China has really hit the mark on this car. Thanks for the videos.
Some very good points regarding the new GWM vehicles.. Loads of features for the money.. It’s definitely something to consider when looking for a new work Ute. Thanks for the video 👍👍👍
yet again mate fantastic review and absolutely loving the gibb river stuff I was talking to my Mrs the other day and I said how you guys inspire me so I am retiring in about 15 months and I suggested to my wife that we should go around aus and do a travel blog and call it grumpy old buggers just cannonvaning around in our Jurgen 😅😅 oh and by the way bill and lil the managers of Willowbrook told us what a fantastic family you guys were when I told them I follow you
Aww that's amazing!!! That's cool that they mentioned us like that. Nice feels :) Cheers for that! Definitely get your channel going! We'll subscribe!! Cheers!!
I have a 2021 canon bought it when it had 25000km and it’s now done 35000. No issues what so ever, the drive is awesome and fuel economy is brilliant. I will buy another GWM in a heartbeat. Ranger and Hilux can eat dirt
Haha it's so true mate! Bloody amazing Ute's. Can't believe how much value for money you get compared to the other models. So happy we made the leap to GWM. Cheers for watching mate! Enjoy your Cannon!!
That is not too bad for a loaded car with gear and bigger tyres etc as well. The ZF 8 speed IMO makes all the difference keeping the engine in the torque and power sweet spot unlike other Jap utes that have 5 or 6 speeds. Wondering if you have had this one tuned or is it stock output?
Hey! Yeah that's right mate. It's definitely a bit faster when it's empty haha. Mines loaded right up lol Na mine is completely stock engine wise. No tunes or throttle controllers. :)
@@wheelsbytheocean I am considering one as my Grand Cherokee is approaching 10 years old and nearly 190k. Apart from going back to a ute ditching the awesome V6 turbo diesel with 186 kw and 630nm does worry me, will I miss the extra ponies? Mine weighs in at 2.7 tonne loaded has winch, long range tank the works, setup as a full tourer. Full tank of fuel she does 0-100 in around 10.9 seconds with traction control on just over 10 with it off and I average around 12.5 litres per hundred. What sort of real world litres per hundred are you getting both towing the van and not?
@@jasonedgley9867 I might give the Cannon another few runs as it was a super hot day and midday too. Might go better with some cooler air :) Real i get around 10 - 11km per 100 when not towing. A bit more if im in a racing mood haha When towing i average 17.3 to 19L per 100. But usually closer to the lower. Hope this helps :) I have had most utes as a company car and this feels no different in power. 2016 4x4 hilux 2017 4x4 Dmax 2020 Mitsi Triton 2019 Mitsi Pajero Sport (My most recent vehicles before the GWM) All went just as good. The GWM is my choice now :) Would buy again in a heart beat!
My 2024 XSR, 1200km. I love it. But there's many things I don't. Start button delay start a few secs. Both rear door must slam to close completely. Soooo slow on take off...mega lag. Can't use several GWM features if using Android Auto. Thats all the gripes. Not many, loads of value
I loved buying a new one so much was so cool! That's brand new car smell and feels haha was awesome. But saying that, if your gonna save like $10,000 then yes I'd go for a used one if thats better ok the bank and situation. Still has heaps of new car warranty so not much to worry about Cheers
Great vid ,im in the process of buying a gwm cannon , ur very confident in its realiabilty ,thats y im choosing gwm over a hilux or ranger ,price for what u get is phenomanal , i wanna know would a tune for more grunt or power be possible because its a turbo diesel im assuming yes, anycar is tuneable i guess TD. Cheerz 🎉
Thanks for this review, definetly the best one I've seen. I think you just convinced me to go and buy the 2022 Cannon L CC for $34.5K. It's got 28K km on it but I guess it doesn't matter with an unlimited warranty. Or I might just bight the bullet and spen $36.5K on a new one.
Thanks so much for watching mate! I love our Cannon! Oooo only 2 more k for new one sounds pretty amazing. Nothing like a new car smell :) Let us know which way you go. Cheers mate 🍻
@@wheelsbytheocean Yeh, I decided the 2K was worth it, rang them to tell them I'd take it and someone beat me to it, and I can't find another CC, so It's back to the 2nd hand one🤣which is an L with the tub removed and a tray and tow bar fitted. I'll let you know how I go, I'm thinking I might fit an IDrive or a Hike It, if I feel it's lacking in the power dept. I found it made a huge difference to my 2.3l D5 Delica. What do you think?
@DCA001TUBE I'm really happy with the power. Mixed feelings about the drive, It's just a signal booster for the throttle fly by wire. But Savage Tech has a tune that's looking pretty positive that I would be keen to test out. But I've driven mine around Aus stock so I'm super used to it.
Great review again thanks mate :) I'm loving my Cannon Vanta its awesome!!! You have probably covered this already but I can't find it anywhere. What is the largest wheel I can fit on my Cannon? Cheers mate, happy travels. Oh and the key start with your voice is sick! I never knew that.
Hahahaha that's too good! My magic voice start!!! There are guys with 35 inch tyres on them but you just need to get a body mount chop on the front. Nothing crazy but will rub at full lock otherwise. Hope that helps :)
@@jahzen7 Wheels - 18X9 with a positive 10 offset so sits with a little poke. Tyres - All Terrain Tyres 285/60R18 Hope this helps you :) If I could do it again id probably go 285/65R18 or 285/70R18 And do the body chop
How is the ride quality? When I look at these vehicles, I have to make sure the family will be comfortable on long distances…I noticed you have lift kit and aggressive tyres
The ride quality was beautiful with Stock suspension so I didn't want to ruin that. So I got the Nitrogen Lift Kit from Savage Tech which maintains the comfort just like standard. It's a really comfortable ute. You have to drive one to appreciate it

We realised it made more sense to us to buy a brand new tow vehicle with 7 years warranty for only $41k instead of $65k for a 10 year old landcruiser with 140,000kms. So happy we made this decision as it's given us longer on the road with the extra 20k :) 😀
Thanks for the review,,,we have 800 ks on ours now and have issues with the heater,,,only gets warmish o 31 deg,,,,cruise control issues, like you said,,,,also have a noticeable random knock through steering wheel and today they told us they believed it to be the engine mounts,, wth ,,,,also when talking on handfree ppl say they can't hear us clearly,,,,hopefully this will be sorted soon,,,other than that we bought ours after watching you guys,,,can't beat the value
Cheers mate :) Na I'm just going to leave it stock. I thought about it and then thought well this is how it was designed so I'll just use it. Don't want to mess with the 7 years warranty true
@@clintwilliams8026 ive never used one but i have heard they can be pretty useful to prevent issues down the track once the kms get a bit up there. Its not ideal running oil through the intake but i guess they gotta follow the ADRs. :)
. There is a company in Brisbane called Cost Effective Maintenance they make various different products ie additives one product they have is a decarbonisation agent you add to your fuel. I use it occasionally in a Cummins L10
Yeah I can look into doing this. It probably wouldn't be for about 3 weeks though as we are currently overseas. The lights work as good as any other car I've had haha but I'll look into it for you
Great video mate, we are looking at doing a lap at the end of the year and wondering what the insurance cost per month on your set up? All good if you don’t want to say. Thanks mate
Hey mate, what's the warning light on the left hand side of the dash? Haven't seen it on before, just wondering what it's telling you is switched on / off?
That's my tyre pressure warning light. Because I don't have any tyre pressure sensors in my wheels so always has a fault light :( Never change your wheels on gwm without swapping over sensors haha
Didn't even know that was a thing on the GWM! Legend, thanks mate. Love the videos from an end user of the product and that they're not just a generic car review. Cheers!
How is the fuel consumption on this UTE? The petrol Chinese cars are at least a generation behind European engines but I don’t think that’s the same for diesel utes
Bloody awesome. With the 3T Caravan in tow I get about 17.8L per 100. On average. I'm heavy footed too. But get lower in perfect conditions. Driving without the Caravan I average around 12 - 14 L 100 due to flat footing it everywhere we go haha. But heaps lower on highway driving. Hope that helps mate
@@wheelsbytheocean it does help but again just shows how far ahead the major brands are. I had a MN 3.2 triton which towed like a boss and gave similar figures on an engine that is as old as the ark. Then I had the T6 Ranger based Mazda BT50 which hardly changed and was pretty efficient with most tanks under 10/100. Then a new gen Isuzu and those can run much lower again.
@seanfenwick yeah that's cool. Most other people are getting around 8L Per 100. But they must drive a lit softer then me. I drive the Cannon hard all day so don't expect the best fuel economy. Think it's more me than the ute haha
@leeriley66 ohhh sweet, I though gwm must of been the only one :) Yes the 7 Years unlimited warranty is on the car. It is transferable. It's Manufacturers warrant not a extended nonsense one so it just remains of car. Hope that makes sense. Thanks mate
I love Mitsubishi mate but issue there is you must service the car at Mitsubishi only to get the 10 Years So if service at Mitsubishi dealer for the whole 10 years you get 10 years / 200,000km warranty Or If you service elsewhere you get 7 years / 150,000km new car warranty Or GWM - Service anywhere you still get the 7 years UNLIMITED KM WARRANTY But my first preference was the Mitsubishi Triton but it was too small inside after driving the GWM it felt so small. But I would still buy a Triton if GWM wasn't around :)
Hey, when towing the van i average around 17.8L per 100km. When not towing i get around 10-12.5L per 100 but I have a very heavy foot. I drive it like I stole it haha
La mía es una 4x4 mecánica con 50000km andando en la sierra del perú excelente, y creo que con la repro que le realice es un poco más rápida que la suya realizare una prueba para mandarle el video
Another argument that comes up all the time ... and this goes with any vehicle except Toyotas are resale value. My take on it is if youre using your vehicle on the daily and/or for work as well, in the case of a ute... youre probabpy gonna get to the high 200 or 300K kms .... by then most vehicles have low resale prices anyways, aside for Toyotas apparently. So if you worry abput resale values, get a Toyota , with the what we call "toyota tax" added to tue initial price which u may get back upon selling the vehicle. Or... save on the price and just enjoy what u bought, not worrying abt the millage and other stuff when its te to sell or you want a change. Unless of course youre the type that change vehicles yearly or every 2 yrs ....which a handful of us dont do.my opinion on resale values🤔
I've seen alot of videos, where they get a professional to weigh their car, car and van and then just the van and work out ball weight etc..... I've been looking at the specs for the GWM.... With a GCM of 5545kgs and you say you tow a 3000kg van... Leaves 2545kg for you car....minus your Kerb Weight of 2100, leaving 445kgs for payload(Yourself, The missus, kids, Tow Hitch, Tub Rack, Rooftop Tent, Full tank of fuel, Generator..... I'd be very interested to see your weights.... Just because I know alot of people are surprised of how much over they actually are .... Like for Insurance, Safety, Legality etc...... But yeah I see you hammer that thing, and it keeps going... Loving the content and your collaboration with Five Down Under 🤙🏼Gibb river road looked awesome
Yeah mate I understand what your saying. Might weigh it later to confirm where we are actually at :) Yeah the Gibb was wicked! Can't wait to get the rest of our eps out :)
I can pretty much guarantee you aren't legal and about 90% of people aren't...Something to ponder a guy was recently jailed after killing two people in an accident. They weighed all the wreckage and he was over.@@wheelsbytheocean
Is it true that the other 4wd manufacturers won’t do bullbars and some other gear for gwm cannon ,except savage if true why is this,is the chassis ladder frame not strong enough???
G'day :) I'm really not sure what you mean by this. I just fitted a bullbar to my car. There are many manufacturers building bullbars for the GWM Cannon: Savage Tech Bossco Auto Ocam Industries OffRoad Central PS4x4 TJM Ironman ECB Max Bullbars Cannon Parts Online Ozi 4x4 And GWM has Factory option bullbars too They are just from a quick google search. China doesn't have much interest to develop big internal combustion engine not because they can't, it is just their environmental regulations discriminates the large motor. Higher tax and stringent standard. They cant just develop large motors for overseas market as their overseas sales are pretty much nothing compared to its domestic sales.

You've covered all the pluses of owning this vehicle, so not going to comment on that. Cheers..
Thanks for watching mate. Some good comments there :)
You should hear my wind noise now haha 😄
I'm pretty keen on a canopy too
you can turn off the auto on camera in the AVM settings as shown by the video: ruclips.net/video/j8p8F3dc12g/видео.html
a bit late too add this - but regarding the space in the ute - I have a 6foot 3 son that told me that he is more comfortable in the back of my Cannon than what he was sitting in the back of my 200 series Cruiser
@EtienneVanNiekerk-s1r far out! How crazy is that! Well done GWM 😀
They are super spacious
Cheers 🍻
Great review. I agree on the after market parts, I've a handful of insane kitted GWM's here in South Africa.
Thanks for watching mate :) Some huge lifted ones on 35s are getting around hey.
Great video, really makes you think about buying a new Hilux/Ranger/Colorado etc. I'd say China has really hit the mark on this car. Thanks for the videos.
100% :) Cheers for watching mate. Yeah it's definitely a game changer. We still loving it! 51000kms now
Some very good points regarding the new GWM vehicles..
Loads of features for the money..
It’s definitely something to consider when looking for a new work Ute.
Thanks for the video
👍👍👍
Thanks mate! Appreciate that
Cheers 🍻
yet again mate fantastic review and absolutely loving the gibb river stuff I was talking to my Mrs the other day and I said how you guys inspire me so I am retiring in about 15 months and I suggested to my wife that we should go around aus and do a travel blog and call it grumpy old buggers just cannonvaning around in our Jurgen 😅😅 oh and by the way bill and lil the managers of Willowbrook told us what a fantastic family you guys were when I told them I follow you
Aww that's amazing!!! That's cool that they mentioned us like that. Nice feels :)
Cheers for that!
Mines loaded right up lol
Na mine is completely stock engine wise.
Might go better with some cooler air :)
Real i get around 10 - 11km per 100 when not towing. A bit more if im in a racing mood haha
When towing i average 17.3 to 19L per 100. But usually closer to the lower.
Hope this helps :)
I have had most utes as a company car and this feels no different in power.
2016 4x4 hilux
2017 4x4 Dmax
2020 Mitsi Triton
2019 Mitsi Pajero Sport
(My most recent vehicles before the GWM)
All went just as good.
Would you recommend buying a used one? Or near new? Only asking because of reliability
I loved buying a new one so much was so cool! That's brand new car smell and feels haha was awesome. But saying that, if your gonna save like $10,000 then yes I'd go for a used one if thats better ok the bank and situation. Still has heaps of new car warranty so not much to worry about
Cheers
My 0-100 times is a bit slower than stock as I fitted the bigger tyres and we tested with a fully loaded car
Cheers!!!!! 🍺 🍻 🍺 🍻
Cheerz 🎉
Hey, yes there's a few tunes and throttle controllers around now :)
Thats awesome! Enjoy the process mate. You'll love your GWM!
You can tune them there’s people on Facebook who have and have really improved them, but don’t forget in doing so you can void your warranty
Nothing like a new car smell :)
Let us know which way you go.
@wheelsbytheocean cool thanks mate. Yeah I'm not interested in 35s. What size did you buy for your Cannon ?
@@jahzen7
Wheels - 18X9 with a positive 10 offset so sits with a little poke.
Tyres - All Terrain Tyres
285/60R18
Hope this helps you :)
If I could do it again id probably go
285/65R18 or 285/70R18
And do the body chop
hi can I ask have you had the weights done on your set-up yet ?????
Gday! Answered that in the vid :)
But not we haven't had the set up weighed
We may do this back in Brisbane :)
Thx sorr6 hadn't had a chance to watch, just watched now, awesome content. Getting my gwm and caravan weights done nxt week.
@@get.lost_adventures Nice! Keen to hear how it goes if you want to share :) Cheers
You have to drive one to appreciate it
Great stuff...keep it going guys..❤😊
Thanks mate!! Appreciate it
Cheers 🍻
VW Amarok 2L, everyone said it was too small in 2010... look at everything now. It wasn't slow, 120kw and 420nm.
True! Tiny diesels are amazing now haha
I Brought a Great wall Ute in 2012 4x4, I payed $19,990 New, I can Steal Get Between $8,990 to $ 11,000 Not Not Too Bad for a 11 Year old Ute, Great Video Stay Safe on the Road, Keep the Videos Coming, Thank you.
I saw one of your other Video, You Where Looking at Buying a Landcruiser 200 Series, Why Did You Buy the Great wall Canon Instead, Thank you.
We realised it made more sense to us to buy a brand new tow vehicle with 7 years warranty for only $41k instead of $65k for a 10 year old landcruiser with 140,000kms.
So happy we made this decision as it's given us longer on the road with the extra 20k :) 😀
Thanks for the review,,,we have 800 ks on ours now and have issues with the heater,,,only gets warmish o 31 deg,,,,cruise control issues, like you said,,,,also have a noticeable random knock through steering wheel and today they told us they believed it to be the engine mounts,, wth ,,,,also when talking on handfree ppl say they can't hear us clearly,,,,hopefully this will be sorted soon,,,other than that we bought ours after watching you guys,,,can't beat the value
are you going to put a catch can on at all? or does that affect your warranty? Thanks for the great content
Cheers mate :)
Na I'm just going to leave it stock. I thought about it and then thought well this is how it was designed so I'll just use it. Don't want to mess with the 7 years warranty true
@@wheelsbytheocean would you recommend one for a np300 Navara?
It's 2019 model out of warranty
@@clintwilliams8026 ive never used one but i have heard they can be pretty useful to prevent issues down the track once the kms get a bit up there. Its not ideal running oil through the intake but i guess they gotta follow the ADRs. :)
. There is a company in Brisbane called Cost Effective Maintenance they make various different products ie additives one product they have is a decarbonisation agent you add to your fuel. I use it occasionally in a Cummins L10
Hi can you do a video of the dipped beam and high beam headlights performance?
Yeah I can look into doing this. It probably wouldn't be for about 3 weeks though as we are currently overseas. The lights work as good as any other car I've had haha but I'll look into it for you
Quick question guys just curios on what all the upgrades have cost up-to date
Cheers
Let me take a look haha. We did get some stuff cheaper as working with VicOffroad and Savage Tech.
I'd have to say approx. 10k. Including the tent. But as I said I did get some stuff cheaper as I am collaborating with these companies :)
Are you down at Cullen Bay during the start of your video?
Hahaha yeah we were down there finding some fish to feed hahaha kids loved it
Great video mate, we are looking at doing a lap at the end of the year and wondering what the insurance cost per month on your set up? All good if you don’t want to say. Thanks mate
I paid yearly. I'll look it up for you :)
Almost due again actually
$1270 for the year :)
@@wheelsbytheocean not bad $24bucks a week 😃thank mate
Hey mate, what's the warning light on the left hand side of the dash? Haven't seen it on before, just wondering what it's telling you is switched on / off?
That's my tyre pressure warning light. Because I don't have any tyre pressure sensors in my wheels so always has a fault light :(
Never change your wheels on gwm without swapping over sensors haha
Didn't even know that was a thing on the GWM! Legend, thanks mate. Love the videos from an end user of the product and that they're not just a generic car review. Cheers!
@wallywallydingbat true hey! Makes a big difference. Wish I could have watched someone take one around Australia before I bought mine haha
Got mine yesterday!
Amazing!!! Well done!
Such a nice ute!!! 🍻
Thanks for the review
Thank you for watching :) hope it helps
Cheers 🍻
Show us a triton in your travels I am learning about Australia thanks Norm USA
Hey! :)
Go to about 10mins on this vid. That's a triton. The black ute.
ruclips.net/video/kYVx_6AMGKo/видео.html
Thanks for your review... Legend
Hope it helps!!!!! Cheers for watching
🍻
So the warranty is transferable yes? Isuzu tells you it is doing a burn. They call it a regen.
@leeriley66 ohhh sweet, I though gwm must of been the only one :)
Yes the 7 Years unlimited warranty is on the car. It is transferable. It's Manufacturers warrant not a extended nonsense one so it just remains of car.
Hope that makes sense. Thanks mate
Great review thanks
Thanks for watching! Cheers
Mitsubishi Triton has a 10 Year Warranty That's Hard to Beat, What do You Think of the Mitsubishi Triton, Thank you.
I love Mitsubishi mate but issue there is you must service the car at Mitsubishi only to get the 10 Years
So if service at Mitsubishi dealer for the whole 10 years you get
10 years / 200,000km warranty
Or
If you service elsewhere you get 7 years / 150,000km new car warranty
Or
GWM - Service anywhere you still get the 7 years UNLIMITED KM WARRANTY
But my first preference was the Mitsubishi Triton but it was too small inside after driving the GWM it felt so small. But I would still buy a Triton if GWM wasn't around :)
Mitsubishi sold a total of 515 cars in 2022 in China. That tells you the story
Good smart review
Thank you 😀 Cheers 🍻
How did you start the car by talking to the key fob? I've tried it a few time but not sure of the sequence.
😆 😂
@@wheelsbytheocean you got me! hahaha
@jahzen7 hahahaha did I actually? Haha I thought you were messing around.
It was just something I had to do hahaha
What's the fuel economy? Thanks
Hey, when towing the van i average around 17.8L per 100km. When not towing i get around 10-12.5L per 100 but I have a very heavy foot. I drive it like I stole it haha
How can you keep your digital speedo always turned on, my one always goes off dunno
Keep lane keep assist off. Or if DPF comes up or Cruise control coms up you can just press ok and it will go back to speedo :)

I don’t really want a Ute… so I wish they did a wagon variant
Oooo yeah they have the Haval for that. GWM is Haval.
Also the GWM Tank 300 is pretty cool and available now 😀
I've seen alot of videos, where they get a professional to weigh their car, car and van and then just the van and work out ball weight etc.....
Might weigh it later to confirm where we are actually at :)
Yeah the Gibb was wicked!
G'day :)
I'm really not sure what you mean by this. I just fitted a bullbar to my car.
There are many manufacturers building bullbars for the GWM Cannon:
Savage Tech
Bossco Auto
Ocam Industries
OffRoad Central
PS4x4
TJM
Ironman
ECB
Max Bullbars
Cannon Parts Online
Ozi 4x4
And GWM has Factory option bullbars too
They are just from a quick google search.
The Chassis is strong enough. The GWM has a 5 Star Ancap rating. Better than other Ute's on the market.
The bullbar on my ute is fully ADR Approved too.
I hope this answers your query :)

China doesn't have much interest to develop big internal combustion engine not because they can't, it is just their environmental regulations discriminates the large motor. Higher tax and stringent standard. They cant just develop large motors for overseas market as their overseas sales are pretty much nothing compared to its domestic sales.
Thats a great point! Very interesting and makes a lot of sense. We are very small market in the big scheme of things
Chinese made engine though. Oof, who knows when these will kick the bucket.
I agree. Very keen to see how they go. Couple of em around with over 100k kms on them so that's promising :) so far so good.
