Mate that's excellent!! You'll love it!! Have you driven one yet? I literally told the sales guy I'm not buying one today and then I drove it and then I came back and gave him my money hahahaha
@nevalookbac7777 that's wicked!! Happy for you mate!! What colour you gonna go with? I like my white cars so had to go white. We test drove red and really liked the look of it but waited for the pearl white
Another great video, just thought I’d share my experience, I have the same cannon with 89000kms and 64000k of that has been towing caravans all in the last 9 weeks. My intention was never to tow this much but opportunities arise. I was worried at first but “surprisingly” it does extremely well. The 8 speed is matched perfectly.
A lot of new Cannon owners second guess what they bought, having viewed your honest review I would say you have laid to rest a lot of concerns new Cannon owners have including myself.
I'm impressed, the car keeps the 8th gear towing. Lovely set up, exactly my dream set up. Car doesn't look heavy, still a good rig for a daily driving.
Hmmm. You're an owner and a mechanic. What would you know? On a serious note, good on you for putting your faith in a GWM Cannon ute. I've been following your updates from day 1. You're one of thousands of satisfied owners and it's great to see. I don't think you mentioned this but your upgrades came in at about 15,000 kms? Was impressed with your self-installs of the shocks and all. Thanks for inspiring many of us to bite the bullet and go on an adventure in our great country. And you've captured it all on camera. Well done.
Yes thats true. I got the 15k service done in Perth and then fitted all the parts after that. Was a mission but I loved it haha. Cheers for the appreciation of suspension install haha that was tough!! Love showing all our vids! So cool when we watch em back! Making ourselves want to go again too haha Cheers mate
Hey bro, I can honestly say that You and Griffins are the reason I decided to get this. Bought mine about a month and a bit, and you are 100% right, this car is capable and does the job well. I'm extremely happy, and, me and my family have never been so happy with a car before. Thank you so much for these videos, and for your honest review always, it really does go a LONG WAY. Some might not leave a Like or Comment, but we do get a lot of value from your content. Thanks!!!!
Wow! Thanks so much guys! How cool is that! Love that we were able to help for sure! I watched a ridiculous amount of RUclips vids of the GWM before we bought ours too. So handy! I knew more than the salesman by the time we hit the dealer hahaha Hope you enjoy the car guys and thanks so much for watching! Cheers
Great look at this Ute and honest review, I've a Paj Sport Exceed and towing is fine. With the Chinese market getting stronger and with Tank and KIA coming into the market with competitive pricing and high specifications the 2 big boys will need to justify their pricing.
So True mate!! We just sold our Pajero Sport before we bought the Cannon, we loved the sport but wanted a ute for the trip. Keen to see where GWM goes. Also scared that they are going too good and will also become more and more expensive haha
Thanks for your honest reviews, l only want a ute because l do a bit of everything not much off road use but do some. I couldn't justify spending heaps and couldn't make my mind up buying an expensive ford, Toyota or isuzu your reviews convinced me this is affordable reliable and nice looking ute l am in the process of buying thank mate
Thats awesome!!! Love hearing that! It's exactly how we all feel hey! We all want something that can do it all for an amazing price! Enjoy buying your GWM 😀 Let me know which model you decide! Cheers
Hey Legend! Cheers for the slick reviews! I'm in the market for a new ute and have been ummming and ahhhhing over the GWM compared to other brands for quite sometime. I've watched a bunch of your videos and its safe to say I'm absolutely sold! The fact you know your stuff and being an ex toyota mechanic has me hook line and sinker. Ill be testing driving one with the mrs in the coming weeks! Cheers cobba! Yeew!
Haha that's awesome mate!! You'll drive it for 2 minutes and be sooooo sold on it haha they are beautiful to drive. Love ours so much still. Just hit 50,000kms and still feels new Good luck mate and appreciate the feedback. It's awesome to hear Cheers
Thanks for your honest & entertaining review. Been looking for a 4wd & came across your channel. Always been sceptical when it comes to something new on the market. GWM never crossed my mind however the prices on other 4wd brands really hit the wallet hard. Love the roof tent set up, something I’d be interested on. My intention is to travel Australia towing a trailer with 2 lite weight Adventure Motorcycles, seeing you towing 3 tons is impressive. Anyway…I’ll check out your channel for future reviews plus your travels. Thanks 🙏 New Sub.
Thanks for hitting the Subscribe! Cheers for watching the review. Hope it helps. Yeah it never crossed my mind either, I wouldn't have touched a Chinese ute 5 years ago! But gosh this thing is amazing. I saw one on the road and was super intrigued so I did some research, drove one and purchased. I'm soo happy with my purchase hey! Amazing vehicle! Hopefully helps your with your decision! Cheers mate. Also check out our Cape York eps as we towed the van all the way up the Cape and back without any issues haha
Cross-Country mode is literally just a less intrusive ESC mode, which is still typically intrusive enough to anoy you on sand and mud. Correct in just pressing the button once being the best method. And for the record, it does not lock the TOD clutch. The TOD doesn't even lock in 4L but it does run a higher friction profile for 4L so it will feel more locked.
My nephew, owns a Canon GWM and he absolutely loves it. The only concern that I would have but probably it’s not a concern is towing a caravan around Australia that looks like you’re doing it and doing it with ease Keep up the good work
I cannot possibly add any more positives, because we have done much the same trip similar caravan etc and NEVER, ever had a problem driving my X-Cannon. So much so that I have now bought a new 2.4l Diesel Ultra Cannon Alpha.....WOW...what a beauty....!
I’m really impressed by the cars these guys are coming out with. I’m interested to see how they are looking around the 300k mark and how they hold up as I tent to keep my cars for ever. Also waiting for the dealer support to grow more.
I'm guessing not well if they are like the ldv. They do diffs ECT ECT ECT under 100k . Thats the experience of people I know who have ldv for work.. I'd not buy an old out of warranty vehicle like I'd buy a Toyota or Isuzu
Excellent review a real owners review not paid to do or a million subscribers, everyone says chinese utes are rubbish but i beg to differ gwm have really stepped up their game , what i need is a cheap realiable high tech ute capable for my business u have convinced me to buy 1 i like the l compared to the x , y buy a ranger raptor for 100k when u can but 4 gwm for that price gwm i think are better than ldv if not prove me wrong , congrats on ue white pearler gwm drive safe cheerz🎉
Mate that's awesome!!! So happy your going for a GWM haha I swear I should start selling them! I honestly think they've done it haha actually made a really nice vehicle. 👌🏽
Just got my cannon X serviced outside a GWM dealer for the first time, no-one seems to know how to reset the spanner for service kms. I have guessed it will be another quirk to deal with. I love my car, but the quirks do annoy me sometimes. I will be interested if yours has the same issues? My DPF will come on up to 3 times a day when towing, the throttle lag is shite (throttle controller didn’t help at all), air con works well when on full but the auto temp is not good, it shudders a little when taking off, the head unit does a full restart nearly every time I turn the engine on. The other issues are common, lane assist makes the van sway and it can’t be permanently turned off, music can’t be turned down with the cameras on/reversing, front parking radar doesn’t sound if the camera is not on, cruise control looses too much speed going uphill before changing back a gear. Despite all this, I would still buy another one for the value it brings, it is just a pity they allowed these issue to spoil what is a very good vehicle.
All valid points there for sure. Just going through previous comments for my new reviews. Yeah the service light reset is a b! You have to use scan tool Ahhhh the worst
Hi Mate. Absolutely great review. Thanks for making my decision so much easier. Here in SA the commercial version is more value for money than the passenger version with the same engine. Thanks again
Nice! Thanks for watching mate. Love that the review helped you. I'm on 51k kms now and I am working on another review :) can't wait to get it out there Cheers
It's cool aye!! The only thing that's random is when you put bigger tyres on it follows the car in front of you closer haha. So weird, makes no sense to me but a couple people have mentioned it But yeah it's an amazing feature hey. Cars are so smart these days
@@wheelsbytheocean 😁😁😁, yep, cool. Ok, you just got me thinking twice about putting bigger wheels 😊😊, but still, this ACC is awesome, especially on a monster 4x4, and a Chinese Ute at that. 😊😊 Look like this ute will be a good competitor against Ford, Toyota and other traditional brands. It is a no brainer, why buy a vehicle twice the price when you can get a Cannon L for half the price with virtually all the creature comforts in the other utes?
A great review. I'm in NZ and have a cannon, and I love it as well. I go offroad and couldn't be happier with it (after raising it 2" and figuring how to use the buttons properly). Amazing where it will go. The one thing I do not like about the cannon is the air con. I'm surprised you think it's great. Maybe you have a different air con being in Australia. In summer I have it wound down to low and use the fan to control the temp in the car, otherwise you cook in the car. I also think the fuel filter is located in a dangerous position. I have fitted a shield over it. What did you do?
Yeah my AC is quite good hey, no complaints there. But I have heard from some people that's theirs isn't great. Soooo capable off road. Bloody amazing. I broke the wiring off the bottom of my fuel filter housing. I just fixed it in my most recent video haha. I need to get a bash plate or something for it. Really dumb spot. Cheers mate and thanks for watching
Just found this channel, amazed how well that little Chinese ute, with that tinny motor is doing. Cheap and cheerful, my 78 cost twice that much before I spent 1.5 times the purchase price on mods to make it decent (yeah that's stupid I know but honestly what you can spend). While I'll never sell it (too much invested now) and will never buy Chinese, I'm dam impressed.
Right! So true aye. Bloody impresses me and I can see the Chinese brands are going to start dominating the market. Especially how I've proven it can do just as much as every other dual cab 4x4 available. Sooo much ute for the money. And I swear I was never going to buy Chinese haha Especially doing my time with Toyota as a mechanic. It's ridiculous haha Cheers for watching! 🍻
Hey, great review. Ours has done 76000km and we tow, although occasionally, a 2t camper. No problems and love it. How is yours performing now? I see you use sports mode, so do we, makes a big difference. Cheers mate and keep the reviews coming.
Thanks for watching mate :) Ours is still going strong as! Yeah we mainly tow in sports mode but recently I've just been leaving it in normal haha I've just hit 50k so we are working on a 50k review. Hopefully be out in next few weeks 😀 Cheers 🍻
Mate a technical comparison to other utes would be agood idea. Drive shafts, differential, axles, bearings, water pump, timing belt, injector prices, DPF replacement cost and service interval and cost...
Hi guys followed you guys from the start…and happy to say I’m a proud owner of an X that’s just done 2000km so far happy with it and amazed what you get for the price. Question: any tricks to removing under tray to access oil filter? Or am I looking in the wrong spot?
Hey mate, thanks so much for sticking around! Been a journey haha Umm mine has all savage tech bash plates so very annoying to remove every service. I think the stocks ones are very straight forward and from memory you will need to remove. I just don't have a special way to do except hold in place while undoing so it doesn't smack you in the face hahahaha
That cross country expert mode is pretty much just normal 4 wheel drive high mode ( with a stick selector).. Locks the center diff where normal is traction on demand
G'day, thanks for your comment. I have done my own personal calculations and my towing setup is legal to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for watching.
True that. It does have a stock trans cooler I believe. But yeah it would help. Only had that issue on really soft sand at 40psi. Was more my fault. Otherwise it's been all good :)
Good review, the comments about “I’m not having a chinese car even if they’re giving them away” are gold. 90% of everything we buy is Chinese, get over it😂😂😂
Can confirm the weakest link in the drivetrain is the rear diff. Mine is 2.5ish tonnes and on 35s and two big wheel hops off road whilst climbing sheared the pinion shaft off at the tail shaft end. Also even in neutral the tail shaft still spins, and won’t let you select park because it thinks you are still moving.
@@wheelsbytheocean i stayedwith the L as it does everthing i need will be adding a tuff tonneau canopy some Red Arc towing and battery accessories and a few more add ons as i get sorted
@@wheelsbytheocean going through with the warranty claim atm should be ok but make sure you do all the service as the service manual cos they might get you from that
Great video mate, thanks, I guess your rack is attached to the roller shutter, is it GWM fitted? and you have roof top tent( what brand?) whats the max weight on that rack and roller shutter, cheers mate happy safe travel?
@georgerudinsky489 I changed racks to a savage tech premium rack as the steel one cracked in the corners. The one in this vid is bolted straight through the shutter and the tub. But my new one is only attached to the shutter. It's awesome. I'll send you vid. My tent is the Vic Offroad San Hima tent. I'll also send you vid. Cheers
Cheers mate, appreciate it, do you know what’s the max weight the shutter can hold with lets say cross bars, wanna put also roof top tent on it, cheers.
@georgerudinsky489 unfortunately I have no idea sorry. It seems to be a thing no one likes to advertise hey..... But I've had mine with roof top tent for 12 months. And had 2 adults and 2 kids in it and it's been all good :) Hope that helps a little bit
Great review!! Have you checked the car's GVM and GCM? We are having to go a different vehicle just so we can be within our GCM. Might have to check these out and grab the calculator 😂...safe travels!
G'day, thanks for your comment. I have done my own personal calculations and my towing setup is legal to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for watching.
@MrHsv123 we are going to pull up around xmas back in brissy to work to save up to do another year 😀 We're bloody addicted hahaha Orrrr We might start working while travelling. It's too good haha.... but expensive 😫
@@wheelsbytheocean It will be nice just to travel and make a income on the way .Just waiting for the kids to move out then sell up and travel with the GWM of course lol👌
Is this the one with the ZF box or Aisin, LDV I think use the Aisin? The Aisin box is more reliable but the ZF box is far far better to drive. They certainly have came a long way, I like the looks of the LDV a little more though.
Flying by the seat of your pants as usual… testing the lane assist with your hands off the wheel, with an oncoming road train, whilst towing a 3t van, prolly not the best idea. You have your family in the car dude. Cmon man!!
Gday! Nah van wasn't on here. I'd never use LKA with the van on. It's shocking. Tested it crap loads of times so not my first rodeo. Was safe as or I wouldn't have done it :) Cheers for your concern though hope ya well. And thanks heaps for watching all our stuff! Living the support and feedback. I just watched it back and I look pretty damb relaxed there haha. I was super ready to grab the wheel :) soon enough cars won't even have a steering wheel true! Haha
Great review. I am hoping you can answer a few things for me: 1 - The car is full time 4x4 unless switched to eco mode which then transfers to 2wd correct? 2 - Have you found the lane keep assist buggy? I saw another review of the Tank 300 that shows the car swaying from side to side if you dont hold the steering wheel. 3 - How has the head unit been? any crashing or glitching? Have you had issues with android auto or apple car play crashing or constantly cutting out? Thank you for the video.
Hey mate! No worries. 1. Correct 2. That tank review had some sort of issue with his LKA. Mine is all good. No bugs. I thought it was so cool at the start but now I don't leave it on. So no mine is perfect 3. Android Auto works perfectly. I go through cords like no tomorrow though. But I do buy cheap cords. Android Auto and Bluetooth all work perfectly :)
I haven't done too much driving without the van on but I think I get around the 10ish but I have a very heavy foot and haven't tried to get the best fuel economy yet... next thing to try hey :)
Fine 80k in mine hasn’t missed a beat use off road all the time tow shit loads with it just had 80k service don’t know what they did but goes better than before Have three of them . Three rangers would have cost 240k with canopy and rear trays bought three cannons set up for 90 no brained
Killed my tuned Colorado at 250,000k and 6yr old. How would this handle being a 3t loaded work Ute ?how’s the AC ? Heard it’s shit ? Other than that 37k with a tray seems good price
Hey mate nice vid we’ve had ours for about 15000 now still love it, the only thing that does my head in is when I’m towing boat/camper when I slow down I get a beep and a notification saying rear radar fault, any ideas on how to turn that off or why it would be doing it? Cheers
Hey mate, sorry for slow reply. Mine does that too. But the trailer plug has these little sensors so when it opens it turns rear sensors off. When the plug gets worn out and damaged like my one now then it beeps. So the GWM takes a special trailer plug so hopefully yours was fitted with that style... that's as far as I know and have been told anyway Hopefully this helps somewhat and gives you an idea about what to look for. Thanks for watching mate Cheers 🍻
Also: your trailer wiring may not have the reed switch and ecu needed to tell the car to turn off rear sensors when trailer plugged in. I've found most towbar kits just have standard wiring so you get all these lights. Very annoying
Have you had your set up weighed? I just got my cannon and van weighed, van came in at 2.6t full water tanks all our gear minus food, car at 3.1 (car has cannopy and drawers) leaving me 159kg of payload. Loving how to car tows but need a lift as im.getting a bit of tailshaft vibration taking off up hill other than that its perfect.
Hey bud, Scott again. Was just watching, and you likely answered a question I was going to ask you yesterday. On the Gibb RR, what mide/4wd settings worked best for you? Sports, and send it?! Lol Expert CC mode enables 4H, I thought.. Cheers 🍻
Hey mate, on the Gibb I'm pretty sure I had it in sports mode when towing the whole time. And definitely send it haha I never use 4x4 expert mode. The 4x4 on demand system is active in normal and sports mode. Eco is rear wheel drive. And 4L is... 4L haha Hope thats the info you were after
@wheelsbytheocean Too easy, Jordan. Think I'll need you on speed-dial or speed-mail. .. if I get in shit 😆😆 Got AT quotes today. Prolly go for Goodyear Wranglers or Khumo's.. Thanks again 🍻🍻
Oh yeah I completely agree! I'm a mechanic myself and I love every Japanese haha I would of definitely bought a Triton but they just couldn't compete with the value of the GWM at the time. And I'd obviously love a New Hilux. I'm just too tight ass hahaha
Very practical review, thanks. Your car is exactly why you don't need a tricked up $150K 79 Series to get to 99% of the best places around Australia. Your Canon with the upgrades has cost you less than my pretty well stock Ranger which gets me everywhere I want to go. Can you get a long range fuel tank for the Canon? It's the best thing I've done to my Ranger and I now wouldn't get a 4wd without one. Thanks
I haven't looked into a long range fuel tank. It would be handy though haha I do tend to run on empty a lot. Haha The Cannon is bloody unreal off road! Loves it haha
@pm7187 we were overweight unfortunately. It's now been sorted by removing a bunch of accessories. Basically if you want to tow a 3t van you gotta keep the Cannon almost stock :) Hope that helps mate
Hello mate, Im from the Philippines i love your reviews in gwm ute. I have plan to get one I saw it performs well that's pretty good. How's your ute now? Any recommendations? Thank you mate I hope you notice my comment. I hope you replied my comment.
Hello mate! In the coming weeks I'm going to release my 50k km review. I can't wait to share with everyone all my experiences. I absolutely love the ute still and would definitely buy another one. 2 of my best mates are driving them now too. Hope this helps you.
Happy you've enjoyed em :) Cheers for watching Ummm mechanics Point of view haha don't change your wheels and tyres without swapping the tyre pressure sensors over as it leaves a warning light on dash foreverrrrr haha wish I didn't do that The car has heaps of power I don't know why people say it's underpowered. The transmission is amazing. The ute is just as / more capable then my last 3 Ute's. Dmax Hilux Triton (all 2016 and newer) The turbo lag is annoying, but you get used to it quickly. I really don't like lane keep assist but it works really well if it's something you like haha I was scared that the electronics in the car would be glitchy like a cheap computer but everything is really amazing I love this thing so much my 2 best mates drive em now too I highly rate it :) Hope all the rambling helps haha
@kmuinde sounds like every GWM buyer haha. I was the same! We almost actually bought a 12 year old 200 series for 65K hahaha soooo happy we cancelled that and bought the Cannon! It's been amazing! Cheers and congrats on making the big decision!
I live in my 3 tonne caravan of which I tow with a 79 series Landcruiser. I fitted the generation 1 Clearview mirrors which work fine. Just wondering how the clip on external mirror works for you. Watching in NZ.
Hey, these clip on mirrors do the job. They do shake around a fair bit and mine are pretty hammered but I've been happy as with them. Paid $15 for them in Sydney second hand haha just because people commented on my channel annoyed that I had no tow mirrors haha Thanks so much for watching :) Cheers 🍻
Yes I run electric trailer brakes. I have a Red Arc system. No dramas at all. All works fine. GWM wired it up. Haven't had any wiring or electrical faults :)
Check out my episodes where I took it across the Gibb River Road and I Also took it up to Cape York. With caravan. Handled the Corrugations amazingly! Not one issue :) Pretty comfy too Cheers 🍻
Hey mate, thanks for watching. Nah no rust issues at all, bloody perfect and I've had it on the beach heaps! Built great! I think it was LDV that was having rust issues in their earlier models 🤔 Cheers mate!
@@wheelsbytheocean thanks mate, yeah I had heard the ldv has rust problems. Just thought I'd ask. I'm running a 2007 BT-50 with 285k on the clock. Pulling 1800kg it's great. Looking for another ute to last 15 years or more.
@keithhowarth3376 I'm really Impress with the GWM! There are some people on the GWM Facebook pages with 200k kms and still happy as with the ute. I have 45k kms now. I'd definitely love it so much!
I would love one of those! So many different models being tested. I did hear something about a gwm ute the same size of a f truck. I'd love a massive ute hahaha
Do you honestly know whether an After market Lift kit .. Voids all warranty ? Apparently it does with Toyotas (even non factory Bull bars) .. you may know being a Toyota mechanic, unless warranty was a thing you never dealt with ?
Hey, yes I was very involved with warranty. When you lift your car you do run the risk of any issues that's caused by the lift kit will not be covered by warranty. The manufacturer can reject any claim if they feel it relates to the aftermarket parts fitted. So yes for sure the lift kit can void some of your warranty. But putting aftermarket suspension won't void you warranty completely. . Hope that makes sense
Yeah it does .. It kinda sounds like ? if you dont want to risk any breach of your 7 year GWM warranty .. Dont Tow 3 tons with a Lift kit and expect a 2 ton vehicle that fails (for any reason) to be covered by that originally designed vehicle ... Lifes all about Risk n $$$'s 😄
@kevwills858 yeah I guess if you want your warranty to be 100% all good. Don't modify the vehicle at all. That's how it works with every manufacturer. Yes you can definitely tow a caravan that's no issues. But when you tow a heavy caravan it has a shudder ok take off. This is fixed when you put harder springs in the back / lift it haha shoot ya self in the foot 😜 Good times
Greetings from Qld mate 🤠 my brother is a Toyota mechanic he brought same model and colour to show me has 7year warranty he said even late model Hilux with very high KMs are are big money I hope it serves him well I'm happy to keep my Lexus and Toyota hearse as daily driver cheers Stephen 🤠✌️🦘🐨🐴
Yeah thats the issue. If your budget is around 45k there's nothing better than the GWM 😀 Wouldn't want to buy a 200k kms hilux just to say I have a reliable new hilux haha He made a great choice! 👍
The motor is GWMs own and is very surprisingly powerful The 8 Speed auto is a ZF gearbox so very proven and compliments the motor perfectly Hope that helps mate :)
I just stumbled on jour vid havent followed so i may ask a answered quiestion , how is the fuel milage km/liter and how did it change from new to now ,thanks like the video
@hentiecraig7749 hey mate :) The car is still driving like its brand new Nothing has changed except for wind noise which is only there because I fitted the aftermarket parts. Fuel: Not towing 8 - 11 L per 100km Towing 17.5 - 19 L per 100kms Cheers mate
For sure would help. Just scares me with warranty crap so I just left it stock :) I love how much warranty these things have aye. Ridiculous haha Cheers mate. And yeah I've got 2 of best mates driving them now too. I definitely love it Cheers
@@wheelsbytheocean Yes, the warranty sometimes gets in the way of improving the thing. Maybe they will have a factory option someday. I figure anything that gets hot will be the first thing to fail.
Hey mate, I own a GWM Cannon here in NZ. I am looking to buy a Caravan but not sure if car hit any issue with towing capacity at 3000KG MAX, what I meant to be safe, Tare Weight 2750kg or below? OR I can still GO with 3000kg tare weight ?
G'day. The Tare weight is what the caravan is empty. Our caravan Tare is 2400kg but loaded up with all our gear brings it up to 3000kg loaded. I hope this helps.... You want a tare around 2400 - 2500kg With and ATM of 3000 or more but load it only to 3000kg. Cheers 🍻
Hi guys me again asking more Cannon and caravaning? You said about driving in sports mode with the van on do you use manual or auto when you’re on local roads and sports manual on the Highway ? Thanks again 😊
Hey mate , im just curious to know why u didnt go with the t60 luxe pro , which on paper has 160kw of power compared to gwm , was it the looks hi tech or something else , ur response is greatly appreciated....
I saw a GWM in person. I was meant to be buying a new triton. Then I saw the GWM and feel in love with it. Just loved the looks so much. Didn't really like the t60. But to be honest the GWM has heaps of power. I would love to race a T60 because i think they would be very similar. I remember reading the the GWM was underpowered so I went to test drive one and expected it to be slow haha I was blown away. I guess these people haven't driven a non turbo diesel before haha slowww The gwm has heaps of tech and is a very wide vehicle inside so super comfy
Is your screen coming on when you go under 15kmh? I turned the auto screen feature off the first drive haha couldn't stand that always coming on and beeping and turning my music down 😜 Is yours still on?
The genuine tow bar wiring is fitted with an ecu and reed switch so when the trailer is plugged in it disactivates the reverse sensors. The cheaper tow bar kits don't have this feature and set all the alarms off. (Been doing some research for you) Cheers
Thats right time will tell :) But for a company to back their product with 7 years unlimited km warranty! And the free 5 years road side! That's what sold it for me!
Hey mate. Looking at buying a GWM cannon Xsr. Do you have any comments thoughts? I’ll be using it to tow a double jet ski trailer. Should be fine based on your reviews
I want to upgrade to the XSR! Sunroof and front diff lock would be unreal to have. My thoughts are visit the Savage Tech website for all you upgrades haha. Na but really the ute is bloody amazing!! So many features and everything works so well! We are almost at 40,000kms now and still going strong! You'll have no issue towing anything haha Enjoy your Cannon! Cheers mate
Just bought the XSR and my first addition from savage tech….rubber floor mats. Will look to do more mods into the future Love the channel. Fantastic to see a GWM doing some real work off road….
Fuel economy with the van on is 17.5L - 18.8L to 100kms. That's pretty average. Quite good on fuel actually. Long Hills are fine but you just need yo keep your foot flat to the floor haha. Keeps 100kmh most of the time. On a big hill I have slowed to 80ish but that's a big ass steep hill hahaha
@@wheelsbytheocean. I'd be truly concerned holding my foot flat towing, not directly aimed at GWM quality, I'm sure it's good, but I know & you should know driving like that will push the combustion heat sky-high, your head & EGT temps would have to be extreme, I'd even suggest detrimental irrespective of the vehicle brand. I'd bet you'd be horrified if you installed an EGT gauge. My experience is you are slowly destroying the head and it will fail. Premature failure, who'd know, usually failure symptoms are head material goes chalky and cracks form around glow plugs etc. If it was my vehicle I'd be easing up on the throttle input, getting a EGT gauge installed and then learn to drive by EGT gauge, rolling out of the throttle as temps rise above 550°C dropping back a gear or two but that's just my thoughts, it's your truck and your money. No I don't own a GWM, but if I was in the market for a dual cab I'd opt into one, always cop flack for saying that but the difference between the GWM and competition is light years apart, sitting in a GWM is like a saloon experience compared to a park bench others offer, they just have a comfortable orrah that really attracts me to spending my time in it compared to any other dual cab. And, no it doesn't appear cheap, the cheap look is possibly more attributed at the new VW Amarok, whilst good the interior appears cheaper finished than the GWM IMO. I'm sure the VW is good but it doesn't appeal to me.
Mate I’ve been following you guys for awhile now and I’m sold will be buying one , enjoy the trip cheers
Mate that's excellent!! You'll love it!! Have you driven one yet? I literally told the sales guy I'm not buying one today and then I drove it and then I came back and gave him my money hahahaha
Yeah drove on last weekend, will be putting the order in before 30th of June can’t wait ,I got abn number so getting a great deal
@nevalookbac7777 that's wicked!! Happy for you mate!!
What colour you gonna go with?
I like my white cars so had to go white. We test drove red and really liked the look of it but waited for the pearl white
White lol
Can you please elaborate on your suspension mods please.😊
My 2021 cannon X has only 40,000 kms with zero issues, tows and goes great and excellent on rutted roads.great review champ🇦🇺✌️
You would hope a car with 40000kms is ok
You're on a trip of a lifetime with wife and kids. Life doesn't get much better than that. Enjoy, mate.
Right! Thanks mate :)
It's so bloody amazing and unbelievable that we've been able to make this happen :)
Thank you
Another great video, just thought I’d share my experience, I have the same cannon with 89000kms and 64000k of that has been towing caravans all in the last 9 weeks. My intention was never to tow this much but opportunities arise. I was worried at first but “surprisingly” it does extremely well. The 8 speed is matched perfectly.
Thats awesome! Happy to see yours is doing so well! Puts more and more confidence in it aye!
A lot of new Cannon owners second guess what they bought, having viewed your honest review I would say you have laid to rest a lot of concerns new Cannon owners have including myself.
Thats good to hear mate :) yeah I'm still sceptical sometimes and then it just impresses me again and again haha
Cheers mate :)
I'm impressed, the car keeps the 8th gear towing. Lovely set up, exactly my dream set up. Car doesn't look heavy, still a good rig for a daily driving.
Thanks mate :)
It's a beautiful setup and super comfy too!
Keeps 8th gear. Ha ha. Maybe down hill with the wind behind you.
Making ourselves want to go again too haha
Cheers mate
Thank you for taking the time to do real down to earth, trustable reviews.
No worries mate! Thanks for watching! Hope it helps with your decisions. Cheers
Good review mate. I'm not a "5 million subscriber" reviewer either, so really appreciate your approach and insights. Thank you.
So handy! I knew more than the salesman by the time we hit the dealer hahaha
Hope you enjoy the car guys and thanks so much for watching! Cheers
Hello again I’ve just clocked 114000 and still going strong
Mad! That's awesome!
Happy to hear that mate!!!
How many kms you on now?
Enjoy buying your GWM 😀
Let me know which model you decide!
Cheers
Just hit 50,000kms and still feels new
Good luck mate and appreciate the feedback. It's awesome to hear
Cheers
Thats some great information! Appreciate it. Good to know what it does. :) Cheers 🍻
My nephew, owns a Canon GWM and he absolutely loves it. The only concern that I would have but probably it’s not a concern is towing a caravan around Australia that looks like you’re doing it and doing it with ease Keep up the good work
Thanks mate. Yes its a great rig. We've gone everywhere with it! Absolutely impressed hahahaha who would of thought
I cannot possibly add any more positives, because we have done much the same trip similar caravan etc and NEVER, ever had a problem driving my X-Cannon. So much so that I have now bought a new 2.4l Diesel Ultra Cannon Alpha.....WOW...what a beauty....!
@user-hz7fb9zm5e How awesome is that mate!!! I envy you, I'd love a Alpha!!!! So cool!
Cheers 🍻
Hope your GWM is going strong! 💪
Pay dealer a visit🤘
All valid points there for sure. Just going through previous comments for my new reviews.
Yeah the service light reset is a b!
You have to use scan tool
Ahhhh the worst
Im buying too because of your REVIEW🎉🎉🎉...kudos mate!
Haha that's amazing!!!! How cool!! You'll love it! Bloody top ute!
Cheers!!!
Hi Mate. Absolutely great review. Thanks for making my decision so much easier. Here in SA the commercial version is more value for money than the passenger version with the same engine. Thanks again
Nice! Thanks for watching mate. Love that the review helped you. I'm on 51k kms now and I am working on another review :) can't wait to get it out there
Cheers
I tried the adaptive cruise control yesterday, love the way it works. Nice 😄😄
It's cool aye!! The only thing that's random is when you put bigger tyres on it follows the car in front of you closer haha. So weird, makes no sense to me but a couple people have mentioned it
But yeah it's an amazing feature hey. Cars are so smart these days
@@wheelsbytheocean 😁😁😁, yep, cool. Ok, you just got me thinking twice about putting bigger wheels 😊😊, but still, this ACC is awesome, especially on a monster 4x4, and a Chinese Ute at that. 😊😊
Look like this ute will be a good competitor against Ford, Toyota and other traditional brands.
Love the video all the best from Canada 🇨🇦
Nice! Thanks for watching mate. Cheers 🍻 from Aussie haha
Thank you mate. I am going thru the difficulty of making decision for Chinese Bakkie
@mhd230289 hahaha it's a tough decision hey!!! I still love mine! 65k kms now
Just found this channel, amazed how well that little Chinese ute, with that tinny motor is doing.
It's ridiculous haha
Cheers for watching! 🍻
I looked at them for six months. Then decided to get one. I tow a caravan that I brought with the money I saved buying it.
So true hey!!! Sooo happy we went with the Cannon! Amazing value!
Yeah we mainly tow in sports mode but recently I've just been leaving it in normal haha
I've just hit 50k so we are working on a 50k review. Hopefully be out in next few weeks 😀
Cheers 🍻
Mate a technical comparison to other utes would be agood idea. Drive shafts, differential, axles, bearings, water pump, timing belt, injector prices, DPF replacement cost and service interval and cost...
Totally agree I have only done 15k in mine but it is faultless.
Been a journey haha
Umm mine has all savage tech bash plates so very annoying to remove every service.
I think the stocks ones are very straight forward and from memory you will need to remove. I just don't have a special way to do except hold in place while undoing so it doesn't smack you in the face hahahaha
Been watching all your videos and made me buy 1 i love it thanks 🤙
Thats so good! Enjoy it mate. We love it!
And thanks for all your support!
Great ute love mine
True that mate!! Cheers 🍻
That cross country expert mode is pretty much just normal 4 wheel drive high mode ( with a stick selector).. Locks the center diff where normal is traction on demand
Thats good to know mate :)
The 4x4 System I'd pretty bloody smart and works sooo good 😀
Cheers mate
Love to see how legal that set up is towing 3 tonne
If the van is 3 ton, I would say it is over the GVM with all the passengers and luggage etc in the tub
@@markymark8472 My bet would be rear axle load and GCM as well
G'day, thanks for your comment. I have done my own personal calculations and my towing setup is legal to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for watching.
Maybe it needs an aftermarket trans cooler keep oil temps down,it can apply to any towing vechicle...
True that. It does have a stock trans cooler I believe.
But yeah it would help.
Only had that issue on really soft sand at 40psi. Was more my fault. Otherwise it's been all good :)
Great video bro. Said some really good stuff too.
Legend!! Thank you
Good review, the comments about “I’m not having a chinese car even if they’re giving them away” are gold. 90% of everything we buy is Chinese, get over it😂😂😂
Hahaha so true mate! 🍻
Hows the update ,,, im seriously thinking about getting one after reading a few reddit mechanic reviews and coming across your channel
Absolutely loving our Cannon mate! Still stoked with it! I would definitely buy another one!
Big wheels, mods and bad drivers kill machinery.
Kind of invalid if you’re running 35’s.
Just done 100000km in mine and updated to a new one.
How good is that!! I wouldn't mind the new XSR with the Sunroof hey! What did you upgrade too?
@@wheelsbytheocean i stayedwith the L as it does everthing i need will be adding a tuff tonneau canopy some Red Arc towing and battery accessories and a few more add ons as i get sorted
@bling7724 all the upgrades! I love it haha gotta make it yours!
take care of the gearbox maybe change the fluid in it cos my is dead after 80k of towing
Thanks mate. Yeah I hope nothing goes wrong with it. Did you get replaced under warranty?
Cheers
@@wheelsbytheocean going through with the warranty claim atm should be ok but make sure you do all the service as the service manual cos they might get you from that
@eurotrucksimgameplay yes for sure. I definitely do all my servicing. There's no schedule for transmission though so I wonder what they would do....
Look forward to the 250k review and see if you still have the same opinion.
Haha time will tell sir. Someone else will have to do that review haha doubt I'll ever hit that 😅
Great video mate, thanks, I guess your rack is attached to the roller shutter, is it GWM fitted? and you have roof top tent( what brand?) whats the max weight on that rack and roller shutter, cheers mate happy safe travel?
@georgerudinsky489 I changed racks to a savage tech premium rack as the steel one cracked in the corners. The one in this vid is bolted straight through the shutter and the tub.
But my new one is only attached to the shutter. It's awesome. I'll send you vid.
My tent is the Vic Offroad San Hima tent.
I'll also send you vid.

@georgerudinsky489 unfortunately I have no idea sorry. It seems to be a thing no one likes to advertise hey.....
But I've had mine with roof top tent for 12 months. And had 2 adults and 2 kids in it and it's been all good :)
Hope that helps a little bit
Great review!! Have you checked the car's GVM and GCM? We are having to go a different vehicle just so we can be within our GCM. Might have to check these out and grab the calculator 😂...safe travels!
G'day, thanks for your comment. I have done my own personal calculations and my towing setup is legal to the best of my knowledge. Thanks for watching.
Been loving the videos mate been watching while I wait before I but my new car. Going to be grabbing the new xsr hear that has a front diff lock too
Haha I can't believe it comes with front diff lock! That's unheard of haha
Such a capable 4x4!!!
Also thanks for your support watching the vids 😀
Great review .I’m loving my cannon 👍
Thanks Mate!! Same here hey, great vehicle. Can't believe how good it is haha Cheers!

I planned to buy this UTE until recently i had a test drive of Shanhai cannon in China, I decide to wait the Shanghai cannon come to Australia
Yeah I understand wanting to wait for that! Was it bigger then the Cannon?
Thanks for the 25k km review. Thinking of trading my 2016 Amarok for the GWM
Hey! You won't regret it. The GWM is such a beautiful car now! Well done Great Wall haha!
Great stuff mate.
Much appreciated mate!!! Cheers
Is this the one with the ZF box or Aisin, LDV I think use the Aisin? The Aisin box is more reliable but the ZF box is far far better to drive. They certainly have came a long way, I like the looks of the LDV a little more though.
Yeah its got the ZF 8 speed and it's amazing to drive!! Definitely happy with the ZF and its been super good, no issues. Cheers
Was safe as or I wouldn't have done it :)
Cheers for your concern though hope ya well. And thanks heaps for watching all our stuff! Living the support and feedback.
I just watched it back and I look pretty damb relaxed there haha. I was super ready to grab the wheel :) soon enough cars won't even have a steering wheel true! Haha
Great review. I am hoping you can answer a few things for me:
1 - The car is full time 4x4 unless switched to eco mode which then transfers to 2wd correct?
2 - Have you found the lane keep assist buggy? I saw another review of the Tank 300 that shows the car swaying from side to side if you dont hold the steering wheel.
3 - How has the head unit been? any crashing or glitching? Have you had issues with android auto or apple car play crashing or constantly cutting out?
Thank you for the video.
Hey mate! No worries.
1. Correct
2. That tank review had some sort of issue with his LKA. Mine is all good. No bugs. I thought it was so cool at the start but now I don't leave it on. So no mine is perfect
3. Android Auto works perfectly. I go through cords like no tomorrow though. But I do buy cheap cords. Android Auto and Bluetooth all work perfectly :)
Cheers for watching too. Hope that info helps :)
Thanks for your honesty and review is this model the cannon L? Cheers Paul
No worries Paul, cheers mate
Hope it helps you 😀
Yes mine is the Cannon L 4x4
Loving all the videos, fuel economy without the van? Ta
I haven't done too much driving without the van on but I think I get around the 10ish but I have a very heavy foot and haven't tried to get the best fuel economy yet... next thing to try hey :)
Best I’ve got is 8.9

I wonder what will happen when it makes 100000kms
Still going, still happy.
Yeah I'm keen as to put 100k kms on it!! I wonder too! I thought I would have had more dramas by now aye
Fine 80k in mine hasn’t missed a beat use off road all the time tow shit loads with it just had 80k service don’t know what they did but goes better than before Have three of them . Three rangers would have cost 240k with canopy and rear trays bought three cannons set up for 90 no brained
Chinese junk
So the GWM takes a special trailer plug so hopefully yours was fitted with that style... that's as far as I know and have been told anyway
Hopefully this helps somewhat and gives you an idea about what to look for.
Thanks for watching mate
Cheers 🍻
Also: your trailer wiring may not have the reed switch and ecu needed to tell the car to turn off rear sensors when trailer plugged in. I've found most towbar kits just have standard wiring so you get all these lights. Very annoying
Have you had your set up weighed? I just got my cannon and van weighed, van came in at 2.6t full water tanks all our gear minus food, car at 3.1 (car has cannopy and drawers) leaving me 159kg of payload. Loving how to car tows but need a lift as im.getting a bit of tailshaft vibration taking off up hill other than that its perfect.
Nah I never got it weighed.... 🤔
The 2.5 nitro lift kit from Savage is good as. So comfortable. And it too away that vibration :) heaps better now!
And definitely send it haha
I never use 4x4 expert mode.
The 4x4 on demand system is active in normal and sports mode. Eco is rear wheel drive. And 4L is... 4L haha
Hope thats the info you were after
@wheelsbytheocean Too easy, Jordan. Think I'll need you on speed-dial or speed-mail. .. if I get in shit 😆😆
Got AT quotes today. Prolly go for Goodyear Wranglers or Khumo's..
Thanks again 🍻🍻
Id buy this over a ranger any day, ford pos lol. However hilux, dmax and triton are solid alternatives
Oh yeah I completely agree! I'm a mechanic myself and I love every Japanese haha
I would of definitely bought a Triton but they just couldn't compete with the value of the GWM at the time.
Thanks
A 150K,they are that 2nd hand in NZL,a Ram is cheaper...!
I haven't looked into a long range fuel tank. It would be handy though haha I do tend to run on empty a lot. Haha
The Cannon is bloody unreal off road! Loves it haha
Less be honest - a fully set up 79 series, dual cab in gun metal grey: isn't about getting around Australia lol.
G’day guys and girls just an update on my Cannon I’ve just clocked over 160000kms and still going strong 💪🏻
Wow! That is some great news! Well done!!!
I'm really curious to know your kms haha
What are your weights do you come under your GCM, I’ve got a gwm and want to know how you went with that.
@pm7187 we were overweight unfortunately. It's now been sorted by removing a bunch of accessories.
Basically if you want to tow a 3t van you gotta keep the Cannon almost stock :)
Hope that helps mate
You checked your air filter?😊
Air filter was just replaced on service :)
@@wheelsbytheocean oh good, dust and sand ingress is a reason manufacturers are dishonouring warranty

@@wheelsbytheocean thank you mate I'm waiting for the 50km run. Yeahh it helps alot. Still looking forward for your 100km+ reviews.
Love all the vids. From a mechanics point of view, are there any real downfalls of the gwm ? I have a 2t camper & am looking at the new cannon.
Happy you've enjoyed em :) Cheers for watching
Ummm mechanics Point of view haha don't change your wheels and tyres without swapping the tyre pressure sensors over as it leaves a warning light on dash foreverrrrr haha wish I didn't do that
The car has heaps of power I don't know why people say it's underpowered. The transmission is amazing.
The ute is just as / more capable then my last 3 Ute's. Dmax Hilux Triton (all 2016 and newer)
The turbo lag is annoying, but you get used to it quickly.
I really don't like lane keep assist but it works really well if it's something you like haha
I was scared that the electronics in the car would be glitchy like a cheap computer but everything is really amazing
I love this thing so much my 2 best mates drive em now too
I highly rate it :)
Hope all the rambling helps haha
Honestly thinking of buying a cannon should I go for it considering u have given yours a serious test
GO FOR IT!! Hahaha
I've done 43,000kms towing a heavy ass caravan all around Australia hahaha it's definitely proven to be a great ute!!
@@wheelsbytheocean thanks I will get it, I was torn between buying a five year old Hilux or a new Ute for same price

I live in my 3 tonne caravan of which I tow with a 79 series Landcruiser.
I fitted the generation 1 Clearview mirrors which work fine.

I take it you have a elwctric break with the van? How is the wiring with the chinas factory stuff?
Yes I run electric trailer brakes. I have a Red Arc system. No dramas at all. All works fine. GWM wired it up. Haven't had any wiring or electrical faults :)
Gday, can a bull bar be fitted, I consider it an absolute necessity.
Lots of bullbar options available for the GWM :)
We have been pretty lucky hey.
We do plan on getting a bullbar from Savage tech very soon
Luck Aussies. We in the US are unfortunately missing one truck buying option.
Thanks for watching mate 😀 i do get jealous of some of the American trucks too haha
Funny how Chinese Ute has bonnet gas struts. Hilux and Ranger do not have this! GWM is slowly climbing the sales ladder due to the value offered
100% my GWM has sooo many features
The gas struts on tail gate is my favourite!
Is this the X variant?
@@leeriley66 hey :) No mine is the GWM Cannon L
How does it run on bad corrugated roads?
Check out my episodes where I took it across the Gibb River Road and I Also took it up to Cape York. With caravan.
Handled the Corrugations amazingly! Not one issue :)
Pretty comfy too
Cheers 🍻
Hi guys, just came across your 25000 review . Pretty good
I'm interested in the cannon
Have you had any rust problems?
Safe travels 💚
Hey mate, thanks for watching. Nah no rust issues at all, bloody perfect and I've had it on the beach heaps! Built great! I think it was LDV that was having rust issues in their earlier models 🤔
Cheers mate!
Whats you fuel consumption
With caravan on
When stock it was around 17l per 100
Now with big tyres and all the gears it's around 18l per 100
Hi There , How many Kilowatts and NM's torque single turbo ?. Klm per hundred towing caravan
Hey! We get about 18L to 100km average while towing. It's A single turbo.
Here is a link to the brochure if you're interested :)
Cheers

Hi mate what do u think of the new v 6 petrol cannon i am holding out for it 260 kw 500 nm the power is amazing
I would love one of those! So many different models being tested. I did hear something about a gwm ute the same size of a f truck. I'd love a massive ute hahaha
How much did you spend on the extras eg...suspension and so on
Oooo approx 8ish k ish
But all upgrades can be found on Savage Tech website and Ozzy Tyres for the wheels. If you're interested
Thanks for watching :)
This is fixed when you put harder springs in the back / lift it haha shoot ya self in the foot 😜
Good times
Mate good review, what your total weight on the ute and carvan fully loaded
A lot haha. I haven't ever got it weighed by let's go with 5555kg which is the cars GCM. We are right at the max for sure
How's your GCM?
It needs some work 😀
Greetings from Qld mate 🤠 my brother is a Toyota mechanic he brought same model and colour to show me has 7year warranty he said even late model Hilux with very high KMs are are big money I hope it serves him well I'm happy to keep my Lexus and Toyota hearse as daily driver cheers Stephen 🤠✌️🦘🐨🐴
Yeah thats the issue.
If your budget is around 45k there's nothing better than the GWM 😀
Wouldn't want to buy a 200k kms hilux just to say I have a reliable new hilux haha
He made a great choice! 👍
What are the mechanical underpinning, motor , gear box from ?
Been looking around. This was on my list looks like it might be again.
The motor is GWMs own and is very surprisingly powerful
The 8 Speed auto is a ZF gearbox so very proven and compliments the motor perfectly
Hope that helps mate :)
I just stumbled on jour vid havent followed so i may ask a answered quiestion , how is the fuel milage km/liter and how did it change from new to now ,thanks like the video
@hentiecraig7749 hey mate :)
The car is still driving like its brand new
Nothing has changed except for wind noise which is only there because I fitted the aftermarket parts.
Fuel:
Not towing 8 - 11 L per 100km
Towing 17.5 - 19 L per 100kms
Cheers mate
In the Philippines This GWM trucks is only around 20 % cheaper than Ford Ranger's new gen .
You need to move to a country where things are a little fairer.
I wonder if an oil coolers for the xfer and the trans from the get go would be a good idea? I am sold on these utes mate - thanks.
For sure would help. Just scares me with warranty crap so I just left it stock :)
I love how much warranty these things have aye. Ridiculous haha
Cheers mate.
And yeah I've got 2 of best mates driving them now too. I definitely love it
Cheers
You want a tare around 2400 - 2500kg
With and ATM of 3000 or more but load it only to 3000kg.
Cheers 🍻
Hi guys me again asking more Cannon and caravaning? You said about driving in sports mode with the van on do you use manual or auto when you’re on local roads and sports manual on the Highway ? Thanks again 😊
Probably better chance for a service in karratha
Yeah :)
We are booked in at Darwin because I want to use a GWM Dealership :)
There will be heaps of gwm dealers soon enough haha
I guess these people haven't driven a non turbo diesel before haha slowww
The gwm has heaps of tech and is a very wide vehicle inside so super comfy
Mate how do you disable the back sensors? or do you just handle the beeping under 15km/h? It's irritating when you in long grass.
Is your screen coming on when you go under 15kmh? I turned the auto screen feature off the first drive haha couldn't stand that always coming on and beeping and turning my music down 😜
Is yours still on?
The genuine tow bar wiring is fitted with an ecu and reed switch so when the trailer is plugged in it disactivates the reverse sensors. The cheaper tow bar kits don't have this feature and set all the alarms off.
(Been doing some research for you)
Cheers
Got one 18 months ago time will tell
Thats right time will tell :)
But for a company to back their product with 7 years unlimited km warranty! And the free 5 years road side! That's what sold it for me!
Which model canon is this?
Mine is the Cannon L
Cheers
You'll have no issue towing anything haha
Enjoy your Cannon!
Cheers mate
Just bought the XSR and my first addition from savage tech….rubber floor mats. Will look to do more mods into the future Love the channel. Fantastic to see a GWM doing some real work off road….
@waynemitchell6020 wicked mate!!!! Bro that was my first savage tech purchase! Their mats are perfect!
Congratulations mate!
Just some feedback for future videos, I reckon you need to say "mate" more
Hahaha loves it!
Nice vid Mate THANK YOU :)
Hahaha no worries mate!!! Cheers for watching
How is fuel economy and pulling up long grades? What is your gvm and gcm ?
Fuel economy with the van on is 17.5L - 18.8L to 100kms. That's pretty average.
Quite good on fuel actually.
Long Hills are fine but you just need yo keep your foot flat to the floor haha. Keeps 100kmh most of the time. On a big hill I have slowed to 80ish but that's a big ass steep hill hahaha
3150kg GVM
5555kg gcm
