    Impressive! Nice 👍🏽 job. I did that smart siren it was a pain but easy enough. Downloaded service manual it was only $39. You might wanna do that so you get your torque specs rt specially on those riser bolts, I would look into some stronger riser bolts and polyurethane riser bushings. It will dampen any extra vibration from going a little taller there. Bike is looking sick Tim!

    • @TryItWithTim
      @TryItWithTim  4 года назад

      Thanks brotha, now your motorcycle has some protection! Teamwork makes the dreamwork! Thanks for the tip, can you send me the link? It bothers me when I don't have my hardware spec'ed. I did actually go with stronger riser bolts and polyurethane riser bushings from Big Al's. It's riding so smooth and I'm loving the look. Thinking about removing the fairing completely and finishing off the headlight.

    Doesn't bleeding the brakes from the calipers introduce air into the system? I have a 2022 LRS and that's the only thing preventing me from doing my own risers. I'm terrified to get air into the ABS.

      Im 5'9, I went with 8 inch risers with stock handlebars. To be honest I would probably be comfortable with 10 inch risers as well. When in doubt don't be afraid to go up in height. Sometimes at the dealership you can find a bike with bars and get a feel for it.

      @@TryItWithTim you say comfortable with 10in, because you switched from the sundowner to the whiplash or just in general?

    • @TryItWithTim
      @TryItWithTim  4 года назад +1

      @@bpfohio Just in general, the more you can get to an upright position, it feels more comfortable. And I don't feel like you sacrifice handling.

      I had to do the same on a 2020 street bob. much easier with a buddy..
      i have the same rise and the riser pushed me back making the ride feel more comfortable. in my opinion, i have more control of the bike with shorter risers but i also feel more stretched out making the ride less comfortable. taller risers are the way to go

    • @TryItWithTim
      @TryItWithTim  4 года назад +1

      Nice, I love the street bob! Im still trying to get a feel for it, but loving them so far. I did have to adjust my controls and rotate them to be in line with my wrists and that seems to have helped a lot. But I Love the chill riding position it puts you in.
