Man you don't know how much I needed this video. My Harley wanted a fortune to do the same job. I think your the only one who explains the install now I'm confident I can do it on my bike again thank you.
Your welcome. Super simple. Probably a 2 hour job taking your time. But hey, some people have all winter lol ride safe.
Hey thanks, perfect amount of detail and good note on the bolts not being included.
Awesome video, thank you! Love the risers and the slight pullback made a huge difference. One of my stock rubber bushings was torn and my dealer sold me the harley poly ones for touring bikes but they were too long and returned. Gooden tights worked perfect.
@@steves801 your welcome glad it worked out!
Excellent video. Yours is the easiest to follow along. Most impressive.
Grat video matey 😝👍 ive seen a few guys doing this exact installation but they do it somewhat the wrong / or slower way ! You do it more correct & much faster & less work 👍😀 Cheers from Bundaberg Australia 🇭🇲🍹🕺
I'm glad you made this video, cause I just brought those same risers for my Low Rider S.
This bike looking fire. My guy. Cant wait to see it
Soon I hope! Thank you! I’m trying to keep it club but not so club lol if that makes sense. But so far I feel it’s looking clean and spicy lol miss y’all homie.
I like your seat & grips, would ya please give me the info on them? Thx bro!
Didn't see in video but did you change out the bushings? I was told that Harley Recommends changing them out.
Could have loc-tited every bolt on your bike with all that lol. Good video, confirmed my suspicions on install without extended wiring/ cables thanks!!!!
How tight was that brake line after that? Are you still able to rotate the bars to any height?
Ty for the video... I hope you dont ever havw to take those risers off with all the loctite you used lol. But ty for breaking it down. You earned a new follower
@@mikeestevez5047 thank you 🙏 yaaa lol I went a little overboard on the LT, but I have taken them off since then. Not that bad lol but not that easy either. Ride safe.
@@yamayari8351 why did you take them off? did you have to go higher or the risers?
I’ve been wanting to those stock risers. My street Bob risers are too short and I want to sit back a little. Thinking they may hit the spot. Looking for some on marketplace
Great video!!! You didn't need to over apply the blue Loctite on the riser bolts. With Loctite, a little dab will do ya!!!
Hey, bros, I was watching a BlockHead video and he was changing his risers and bars off of his 2020 Low Rider S. When he took the stock risers off he took a pair of vise grips and unscrewed the bolt out of the stock risers and used them for the new ones. This comment was just for informational purposes. The Bible says that we die for lack of knowledge.
hey bud, quick question how tall are you? ive just ordered 6.5 with high bend bars to the UK! but im worried i might of ordeered too small! haha im 6ft
I know you installed on the ST, but I have an S and I don’t think I’d be able to stretch the brake cable anymore than it already is from the factory. I’m wondering if the ST and the S have different variances on the cable lengthfrom the factory
I have a '24 ST and my brake line worked(couldn't go any taller tho) but my electrical cables were tight. Since it's easy to remove the tank I went ahead and unplugged all the cables from the wiring harness under the rubber boot (remove the two bolts holding the brake lines to the frame to make it easier). Then after installing risers/bar I ran the cables one at a time with the tightest one going first. Nice and neat, didn't have to use any extensions and the wires are good with full handlebar movement.
I just bought this but I also bought the thrashin bushings cuz a lot of people sed while it will work without it will be better..
The dealer installed these on my bike. However, now the handlebars and the front wheel are misaligned. Anyone know how to fix this?
can you reuse the factory top clamp with the gage in it? i,m not sure why they give ya a new one?
Good video. You just needed two things lines of loctite at the most. Looks like a quality product.
Great video on the install! Where did you get your seat from?
this works on the 2022 model as well? I dont want to remove the fuel tank ..
I thought the stock risers had double sided threading so you could unthread it and transfer it over.
Great video! Did you replace the stock orange blinkers too???
I watch so many of these install videos and I gotta say, you make it really easy to follow along. Most people skip through the essential parts. Do they sell the bolts on Thrashin's website? I haven't seen them there. Also, are those mid bend bars? I'm 5'6 and I was thinking of going with 6'5 risers with mid bend bars. Not sure if it''ll be a good height for me. Any thoughts?
I love the pullback, a little more comfortable. That’s my opinion. Ride safe!
Thanks for this video!
So do you feel any improvement with the 6.5s or do you wish you went 8.5s ?
I’m 5’10 so as of now it feels great! But a few hundred miles from now will be the real answer. I’ll try to do an update. Thank you 🙏
@@yamayari8351any update on this? Really having a hard time deciding between the 6.5 and 9.5. I like the aggressive feel of the bike on curved roads but leaning forward on long rides is killing me.
Quick tip - take off the mirrors and you will find the bars will not flip around on you and make your installation easier. Adjust the bars then put the mirrors back on.
Great video man. I’ve got a 22 low rider st I’m ordering parts for now. I’m trying to decide between sp concepts big bore or the lane splitter. How are you liking the 6.5” risers?
@@andyc5209 love them. Taller yet still sporty and looks great!
Great video mate, one question though I checked with HD over here and they told me that it wouldnt work, reason is that all cables would need changing, anz issue on your side? (those are the 6.5" right?)
Nice man I got the same bike bought the same risers! Question did you customize the seat on saddlemen? Or did you already find one customized online? Thanks!
Do you think you will need to extend the break cables if you do the 6 inch risers with no pull back?
To be honest??? Not sure. But you can email their tech support and I’m sure they can tell you yes or no.
What is the angle of the bar, on the sweep?
Please give me the dimension of the 2 bolts you bought at ACE?
I used 1/2" x 13 - 3 inches long w washers
So you can’t reuse the stock bolts at all? How long of the bolt did you purchase anyways? Website doesn’t say how many inches of the bolt
I’ve been looking around for that info too. They say 1/2 x 13 but don’t say how long.
Did you need to change the brake cable
No I did not. Ride safe.
So no cable or wire extensions needed? Turn to turn is good?
Yes sir with the 6.5 stock everything will work.
how tight are the cables? I read somewhere that someone installed the same set-up and had a leak about a year later, due to the stretching of the cables. @@yamayari8351
What is the name of the powersports dealer you delt with ?
Do you remember how long the bolts were that you had to purchase? 2 inch? 3 inch?
I’d like to know this too.
How’d you get it on sale? Best straightforward video 😊
I feel I paid regular price lol what are they going for now?
I still paid $595! but when you were on their website on your video it had it discounted lol
@@Shellbabyy that was the Black Friday sale price lol I missed it by a week!!!
the bolts come out so you can use the factory bolts
Quick tip, don't go so crazy on the threadlocker.
And use orange threadlocker. It's made for hand tool use...
Are cables needed for the 2023 breakout, or is it not needed for any of the softtails?
