Your garden is so full like mine. I think someone called my garden whimsical the other day. When I started my garden, I told my husband that I want people to feel like Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz when the view suddenly changed to full color. I’m getting there.
I would love to walk through your garden in person. 💚🐝🌸
    Thank you for the tour.

Yuliya, it's unnecessary to apologize for plane noise. They aren't as noticable as you think.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating. I 💕 your color palette!
In this year's project, I am focusing on purples and blues, next year I'll add pink and rose tones. Today, I planted another 'Rozanne' geranium and it was just the purple shade I needed to complement the nepeta, Veronica, hyssop and delphinium. I love how the color shades look. I look forward to the coming years when all this year's plants mature and bulk up. I'm getting lots of appreciative comments on this garden. Especially the children.
Sitting among all the plants while I weeded, I was so pleased to see everything covered in big fat bumblebees. 🐝
I can so relate to keeping plants in their nursery cans too long. I lost a bubblegum Veronica leaving it above ground in full sun. I may have done it again with an echinacea 'Kismet'. I'll plant the blackened plant anyway and keep my fingers 🤞
Ah, that monarch butterfly 🦋 at the end! ❤

Your garden is looking spectacular! I too am of the opinion that ornamental gardening is easier than vegetable gardening. It’s very intimidating to me for some reason. I just had to cover my veggie patch with plastic to solarize the soil. We have root knot nematodes (eastern NC zone 8) in the soil and I don’t use pesticides so fingers crossed that this works! Thanks for the tour and inspiration!! ❤️

I would guess that this year the bed is so full that the cleome hadn’t much room or sun to sprout. (They come up quite late)
I also missed out on a good cleome show this year because the lupins filled in too densely. We also had a very dry period in June so that may also be to blame.
Gorgeous garden! Love your planting layout and selection!

Your garden is so beautiful! I always find something wonderful in your garden that I want to plant. I had to laugh and thought of you when I went to dig out the elephant ear I planted in a container. It wasn't coming up and I assumed it rotted. When I dug it out, it had roots and a shoot! I had planted it upside down. Ugh. I've been apologizing to it ever since. It looks beautiful now.

Gorgeous property! I agree with you that ornamental gardening is much easier than vegetable gardening. I used to have a good sized vegetable garden and I gave it up for a while because I couldn't handle the pest and disease battles - it took all the fun out of it. My husband would also save the tomato hornworms when I wasn't paying attention so I gave up the battle 😂

Beautiful Garden Tour! I think we have similar garden design styles; as I watched this video I kept saying, I have that plant too! I particularly love the calamintha and phlox this time of year...and yes, the dahlias are just getting started. Am focusing on more natives & pollinator friendly plants which the hummingbirds, bees and butterflies appreciate. PS: Love to plant Elephant ears in the garden....this year I tried 'Sumo' and loving it.

SO SO enjoyed this garden tour!! such a beautiful, peaceful, pollinator rich oasis! I have my FIRST blooming Angelica Gigis and it makes me so happy. there are so many different species that visit, and the architecture of the plant is fulfillment on it's own. would love to know if you gave it a cold stratification before sowing it, and any hints on process. I have seeds from a different variety, and I may try direct sow, and sowing inside, but I'm unsure how to do the latter

Your gardens are beautiful. I am planning to do a privacy screen in Georgia 8a. Some of the hedge will be a bit shaded. Do u think the American pillar arborvitae would do ok with some shade. It will be a mixed screen likely with tea olives and Carolina midnight lorapetulem as well.
