- Premier Rides is on a roll, as once again, another Sky Rocket II model is going in at another park! This time at Lake Compounce, where it will be called Phobia Phear Coaster! This will replace the Enterprise ride, and will open in Spring of 2016.

I honestly don't give a shit if tons of parks are adding them. I think it's good! This is a very fun and intense ride and it's a hell of alot better than most Clones.
fatmike371 Yeah! While Boomerangs are considered mediocre additions, Sky Rockets will usually become one of the best coasters in the park.
fatmike371 I always liked boomerangs imo. SFNE and LC both have one so I can't say I've never had a chance to experience. I when it loops backwards since there are soooo many positive gs.
The difference between this ride and the boomerang is this ride is actually enjoyable.
I think it was a perfect choice for the park. Lake compounce is a small park on a budget. They have Huss rides, S&S rides, and other cheaper manufacturers.
They also had a very tight space for the ride. They had to stuff something into a small space between thunder n lightning, ghost hunt, and Boulder dash. They couldn't have placed a giant coaster in the place of an enterprise or they would have to take down other rides. Therefore, the sky rocket II was a great choice for a small space in a small park on a budget.
Worker from lake compounce here, and I can confirm that the track parts have already started arriving there's about 5 of them and they are indeed orange
I remember last year when Saw Mill Plunge was closed. I was surprised to see it back open this year. I was actually expecting LC to buy a Eurofighter since they are small with low capacity (something good for LC due to the park's small size). I was really glad to hear about a sky rocket 2. When I think about it, Canobie Lake Park has the Eurofighter Untamed already so I think one at LC would be a little redundant. Also I agree Sky Rockets are becoming the new Vekoma Boomerangs.
Lake Compounce finally gets a coaster!
I WENT ON THIS YESTERDAY AT LAKE COMPOUNCE. IT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUN!!!!!!! ITS MY FAVORITE COASTER! DEFINITELY A GREAT CHOICE
Haven't been to Lake Compounce since 2014 and its my home park the one I grew up going to! I bought a season pass for this year and I can't wait to ride Phobia for the first time ever!!
Cool video on Lake Compunce's new-for-2016 coaster! I'm glad it's now changing from OTSRS to lapbars and I think it's a great fit for the park! I could imagine more parks adding this type of ride because they're so cool and compact! :)

rode tempesto yesterday, these rides are AMAZING!
I decided to forgo my extreme fear of park rides when I went here a week ago, and I had the most thrilling day of my life! I started off on the wooden roller coasters, and they are both shakier than someone with parkinson's, and jostles your ribcage a LOT, so when I built up enough courage and I rode on the two steel coasters, I absolutely loved how smooth they were! I would say Phobia was the best as the restraints on flashback actually hurt me because I was a bit too tall for them, and Phobia was a lot more smooth!
Ikr I really didn't like Boulder Dash because it shakes way too much and your ribcage hurts A LOT But yup I'm scared to go on Phobia
This is funny now, I am going back to the park with some friends within a month, and I am totally going to be the one dragging them on it! It is a great experience, do it, and you will smile. Or puke, that is always possible, but I suggest trying it before you say no! I did not try them out of fright for 20 years, and now I love it!

I went on it about 20 times this past Sunday. The Premier Rides people were there asking us about our experience The third launch was the best.
So Pumped! Lake Compounce is my fav park and I go there yearly!
They wouldn't send an enterprise to kennywood because they already have one. What they really need is a new dark ride or rollercoaster, and they need to expand into the ravine behind racer and jackrabbit, or make a new coaster in there, hopefully an rmc. Plus, they need to bring back turnpike and old mill, which is on their to do list if I remember right.
Normally I hate clones but after riding Tempesto two weeks ago I'm totally down with more parks getting them. It was loads of fun!
Compounce's Boomerang is actually not bad. But Phobia is definitely better.
I think it's kind of strange that the Sky Rocket II doesn't invert more times than it does, since it definitely could. But I guess making this sort of high-altitude jojo roll be the only inversion plays up the drama of it, and the twists that keep you upright through the rest of the ride give you interesting whippy lateral forces. If there were hard OTSRs the transitions would be headbanging killers, but there aren't. Riding with a lap bar is awesome.
The theming turned out to be very lightweight, as one might expect, just some signs in the queue. But the main sign for the attraction is pretty cool-looking. No switch track.

I personally think this is a great fit for the park! Most enthusiasts and locals to parks with this model will be like, "Meh. It's another ride exactly like the one at ____ park." However, not all parks aren't always trying to get people around the world (specifically smaller parks). They're trying to get the audience in a smaller area, such as the region or city. My only complaint is that like what Coaster Studios stated, "The parks two main steel coasters have inversions and go backwards." I feel like Zoomerang should get removed and replaced with a fun family coaster like a Mack Spinner.
So, just so everyone gets a little more information. I work at the park, and the reason we got rid of the enterprise is so that we could fit phobia in. As far as I know we are not getting rid of zooms rang, at least not anytime soon. Enterprise is just getting its retirement just like rotor did when we replaced it with revolution. There will be a new walk way by Boulder dash and a new photobooth building for phobia. It is going to be a fantastic ride that will bring new thrill seekers to the park. Hope everyone comes and visits!

I rode the Tempesto last week it was fun!
When you said that about Zoomerang (Vecoma boomerang) It made me think about its future. The Zoomerang may be leaving the park soon. The Phobia Phear Coaster IS similar to Zoomerang. So the park won't want to repeat the whole "Two boomerangs at six flags new England issue" And Zoomerang is also getting old. It's boring now. Every park has one. I'm not kidding every Amusement park I've been too has one. This ride is unique and special. I can't wait for next year. Please tell me what you guys think of my prediction too. I'd appreciate it. THX!
Could you do another top 15 new roller coasters this year? I really enjoyed the one last year and this year is filled to the brim with amazing coasters.
I think that this coaster is a good fit to the park. And I remember when the company said that this coaster costs around 6 milion, not 8 or 9 milion, but that's just a observation
The OP says that these can run two trains. I don't don't see how that is possible and even so, the way it launches would really make for a accident prone situation. Now a DOUBLE track, like a racing coaster...then of course that I could see.

Hello! Sorry it's a bit off topic! ValleyFair is my home park and is the only relatively close park that I can afford to go to other than MOA. Well, it's mostly the cost of traveling and hotel etc. But anyway, could you do a 5 year plan? Coaster Studios I love your videos by the way! :)
Well, if the Premier Sky Rocket II is the new Vekoma SLC, then it's definitely an improvement.

Kennywood has an enterprize, so that would be interesting. I wish LC would have gotten a megalite or a hyper twister like Raging Bull. Both would be more expensive, but much better fits. The reason I say hyper twister is because Boulder Dash is their airtime machine.
rollercoasterfan2000 I was thinking that they should get a B&M invert. It would really stand out at the park.
I would prefer B&M trains on the Phantom's Revenge before that. It has a better layout than most B&M hypers, but cannot compete with the B&Ms because the restraints are acquardly shaped, but a clamshell is natural, and comfortable. The airtime could actually improve because of a tighter lap bar.

Brandon Winters True, but SFDK has a lot more coasters than Lake Compounce, so it's okay, considering that neither Superman or Boomerang are even the parks largest coasters. However in this case, Phobia and Zoomerang are the only notable steel coasters in the park, so that's why I find it a bit odd.

Kinda figured if Kennywood had an enterprise, it'd be an older model one like Lake Compounce's since Kennywood has a bad habit of hanging onto old rides.
I was told that Kennywood was going to use the LC Enterprise for parts. Hershey put it in when they owned Lake Compounce back in the 80's
I would have chosen a B&M Flyer or an Intamin Mega lite coaster.
I REALLY want an intamin megalite in the US! It would have been awesome if they had gone with one instead of this because I'm going on a road trip next summer hitting almost every park on the east side of the US

TrainsWow™ Maybe a Mega lite, but the thing of it is, LC is a small park. Maybe they could add a Flyer near the fright fest area, but they need to find the most compact rides as possible, especially the good ones.
BeatenAndScarred No, for LC be a small park they can't pay for a B&M Flyer, they are very expensive, I would prefer a Chance Morgan Hyper GTX Coaster, it's one million dollar more expensive, however it gives a better ride experience than a Sky Rocket II model

I don't think a giga would ever come to kings island cause cedar point that has Millieumun is not that far however i could see a giga come to kings island if they have a plan to over throw cedar point

It's gonna be a waterpark expansion. And KI will get a giga just not until 2018. KI hasn't gotten a new water slide in a really long time (8-10yrs)
I dolt six flags new England would be getting one new that Lake Compounce is getting one next year . Lake Compounce is not far from were I live . so I hop six flags new England gets something else other then this coaster to replace flash back in 2017.
