Hi Everyone, Here is a wonderful clip of Liberace playing the Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto mixed with it's modern counterpart Tonight We Love from the 1950s.
Tonight we love while the moon Beams down in dream light tonight We touch the stars Love is ours Night winds that sigh Embrace the sky Tonight we love in the glow That glows so softly I know This wasn't meant to borrow but tomorrow Will it be gone Or will it always live on Tonight we love
I do not care what they say about the late Liberace, he is a master of the piano, and they cannot take that away from him. Thank you for the music, Mr Liberace.

I'm currently in the porch of my lovely old home and I've got a little rabbit who is about 10 feet away. It's so neat that he hasn't left and has been sitting listening to Liberace playing outside on speaker. He's listened to "Tonight We Love" and Lee's recording of "Till the End of Time". How great is it that even little animals love Lee's playing? Peace and calm. It's just great.
First heard this as opening music on some Sunday show Grandma had on radio when I was about five.Am now 84 yo.. Waited out program in hopes of hearing title. No. Years later I heard on NPR but. never really enjoyed till I heard. LIBERACE before I knew who he was but the rendition sealed my love of this and made me a LIBERACE lover. Forever. :-)
Hitchcock used Tonight We Love so masterfully when he had two of the bad guys in the movie Saboteur sing it as they crossed the Hoover Dam. A beautiful song sung in such an unusual setting. Always expect the best from Hitchcock and you won't be disappointed.
My wife agrees he was extremely handsome and whenever she sees him playing in these black and White clips often says I wish I could have been at one of his concerts ,I am sure she would have taken a bag of lacy underwear and put her phone number on and threw them on stage have not to heart to tell her he was not interested in women.
Wladziu Liberace lived in an era when being gay could get you "blacklisted" and cause all sorts of other problems as well. What he did in his private life is none of my immediate concern. He was a fantastic pianist and showman, the likes of which are not readily replaceable. You Sir are missed, pink coat and all!

When I was a boy, I'm 68. now, We'd all gather and watch Liberace's TV show.

Tonight we love while the moon
Beams down in dream light tonight
We touch the stars
Love is ours
Night winds that sigh
Embrace the sky
Tonight we love in the glow
That glows so softly I know
This wasn't meant to borrow but tomorrow
Will it be gone
Or will it always live on
Tonight we love

They do say that even plants grow better when classical music is played. 😸

Liberace is the King
My late mother's two favorite pianists were Liberace & Van Cliburn.....and both were very famous for their performances of this very same piece????
Must be the piece then. ;)
It’s probably the first I remember hearing, in my case it was Richter.
Música belíssima e Liberace era um grande pianista!
He is still the greatest. He is the handsomest man ever
