Buttercream Flowers Fault Line Cake Decorating Tutorial

- Hi and welcome back to my kitchen. So over the past few months a new cake trend has been to create fault line style cakes, which give the impression that the buttercream has split open and is revealing something on the inside of the cake.
For this weeks video tutorial I wanted to have a go at this technique and combine this with simple buttercream flowers between those lines. This is a great tutorial for beginners if you have not piped flowers before and I really hope you like how it looks and you enjoy the video!

No matter how many fault line cakes I see your's still remains the best in my eyes. There's just something special about the way you did it it's hard to describe but you made it very special for me something that I think I can recreate and as soon as I get my confidence up I'm going to try it so wish me luck thank you and keep on caking

Great Tutorial, as always. You are a really good teacher, Lynz - not everyone is so student- friendly with their videos. I would put a dowel down the centre of the cake, through all 3 layers, just for stability, but that's just me...seen too many cake slides in my time . 😱. 👍👍👏👏

I never ever heard of this new trend so I searched for Fault Line Cakes and they do not look pretty like yours. Loved it!

I have seen alot with sprinkles, and I personally don't like sprinkles, but your way look so gorgeous and perfect for mother's day, so delicate.
