If you zip out of bounds, zip into walls, etc that's definitely a glitch. The "cow zip" is just a weird interaction that happens when Catoblepas / Gorgon turns around while Soma is riding. You can use this to zip out of bounds, but if it happens in the middle of a room, it's fine.
I like how level 1 is both fitting for the challenge, and also fitting for the theme of the challenge... which is absolute unwatchable tedium in boss fights.
