Ben McFarlane I've seen live as well as he has taught me ukulele for a brief time we both had the same ukulele teacher as me as he went to my school he came and taught us for a bit when I was in 3rd grade

Uke strings are made of nylon normally, so they really really stretch, also people already make tools (for this exact practice of adding tension to the strings) and this guy just realized he could use chopsticks instead. I use drumsticks with my bass sometimes
