We are not allowed to sit in court the manner in which one the interviewer is sitting cross legged infront of hon'ble justice...

You missed the key phrase "without the talent"
    Here's the corrected version:
"Very challenging to succeed as a woman without the talent in this profession"
She is an exception to above statement.

You mean to say a woman in legal field is generally not talented?

Why does the collegium make the selection of judges ?
Elected representatives should decide, not the whims and fancies of few old boys club - stop taking summer vacations - Lakhs of cases are pending and thousands under trial people are stuck in prison

Elected representatives cannot decide, this will violate basic structure of constitution which envisions independence of judiciary and legislature. If judiciary goes under legislature, then nothing would stop elected representatives from becoming tyrants. A tyrant once elected will never get replaced as he will throw away all votes cast against him and nobody would be able to check him. Your suggestion would lead to end of this country.
The only alternative to collegium is for citizens to elect the judges as well, just like they elect politicians. The judge & polticians can keep a check on each other and fulfill the vision of Constitution.
