I left rice in my rice cooker and it ended u getting mold on it that ate through coating on the rice cooker coating and spreading to the cabinet that it was left in. Do you think I need to hire a mold inspector?

Mold tends to be more pungent, especially as it grows. Mildew has a milder, musty smell that some people compare to damp socks.
