I really enjoyed this album. It’s like listening to a quilt that’s sat through someone’s quiet yet very meaningful life.
I checked Joanna Sternberg out since they were opening for The Lemon Twigs, and I wanted to be in the know. They're great! The lyrics are very relatable, and encapsulate my experiences in a way most other songs have not. They're great live too!
Heck, they even made my boomer step-father respect They/Them pronouns, their impact!
Their first album ‚This is not who I want to be“ is a must-listen for anyone who enjoyed ‚I‘ve got me‘ ❤️

I like the Human Magnet song. It came on the radio, and her quirky voice caught my ear. The style of the song reminds me of Carole King - I can totally hear CK singing it in my head. It's very melodic, and JS's voice makes you pay more attention than if she had a "good" singing voice.

Her first album is one of my all timw favorites and has made me cry more times than I can count, but something about this one didn't work nearly as well for me. Hopefully it'll grow on me throughout the year

Man, when I first saw the title I read it wrong and I somehow though it was some surprise release of a collab album by Joanna Newsom and Andy Samberg. I was hyped out of my mind. Will listen to this for sure now anyway.
