Poole Harbour, Wareham River and Brownsea Island by Boat

A day trip on one of the hottest days of the year, cruising from Baiter, across the harbour and up the Frome to Wareham. Then back to Brownsea island for some swimming before cruising back to Baiter.

Hello Chris. I picked up a SIB for some summer fun. I’m located in the UK too. What do I need before it can be used legally on the coastline and rivers? Insurance, license etc? Any help would be much appreciated! 👍🙂

Hi! Here in the UK we have some of the most relaxed boating laws in the world. You don’t need anything if you want to use your boat in the sea, although it is advisable to obtain insurance. There is no licensing scheme for coastal use.
Rivers are a different matter - you will need permits etc for many inland waterways such as the Thames.
