    You must understand anxiety plays a major role in all of this. Your mind will run your body if you let it! Anxiety is the only thing that causes my gastritis-like symptoms. I’m sorry you are going through this, I am too, all the same symptoms. You are going to be okay please try to release some worries if you can. I cold turkey quit klonopin in November 2016 for some background info on my situation. Also if you have access, cannabis helps me immensely. And make sure you aren’t drinking coffee, black tea, or eating too much sugar. Don’t obsess over your diet, just use common sense. Worrying too much about it will make you too focused on it and the pain will not stop until you change your focus. Feel free to message me if you want to discuss further. What helped my pain the most personally was really understanding I am not dying and how powerful my mind is as far as causing physical symptoms goes.

    I am so exhausted. Extreme dp/dr, panic attacks, depression, crying spells and now terrible vertigo where my eyes start rolling in my head and I can't control it. I'm frustrated bc I remember the days before xanax and I just want them back!!!!! (I took 2.5 mg xanax a day for 6 yrs. then ct) This is so hard to go through especially when those around you dont understand. That's why we have to be here for each other. • @theonlysaltspring

      Harriet Berholtz it varies from person to person ...suddenly you have all these receptors that have been shut down by the Benzodiazepines and are active( people report being psychic during this time) Also the brain has grown new receptors to compensate all now in full awakeness.. this goes away as the brain rebalances. I just kept telling myself.. it’s going to be ok.. you are not insane This will pass and it did. I noticed that working up a sweat helped( this was the Soviet model for withdrawal.. hard labour) but by shoveling a pile of gravel by hand it alleviated a lot of symptoms. It’s a new life if you want it to be. Someone goes through this and they are changed. But to put a time on it is tough because as Ive said it varies from person to person...but it does get better fast. You’re doing great.. it passes.

    Don’t stop fighting & pushing through. 18 months is awesome. Being able to discuss & share this is supremely important; you’re a leader to many people on this issue. I’m with it; you’re a hero to me. Keep grinding. Gastritis & GI tract inflammation is extremely common for many in benzo withdrawal or PAWS from benzos. Also you mentioned you’re daughter had been ill with a stomach bug; your immune system in the stomach areas may be susceptible to catching things but you will get through it too. The anxiety & fear tells us to play Sherlock Holmes & solve it, doctors make it seem more mysterious, but you will fight through all of it. Your immune system is working, but see it as the ability to handle anxiety right now, it’s slightly injured & compromised but it works. We just have to grind harder when it feels impossible. This is why you’re a leader, a hero, to others, myself included.
    Keep grinding but keep stress as low as you can.
    Your ability to remain well spoken & clear in your thoughts about all of this is valuable & has surely helped give clarity to others. I didn’t believe this could be related to benzos in my situation; I was skeptical, but hen I saw your channel a month or so ago. You opened my eyes. Thank you
    If you need to chat, hit me up. Don’t apologize, keep talking to us; don’t over obsess in solitude or isolation. We need you. I’m sending out chill & positive vibes to you man. Respect ✊🏼
    The stomach will heal; it is just a slow & painful process. I know something about it because I’m in this too. I’m 6 months out from Klonopin after 6 years of being prescribed 1mg a day. I never misused but here I am. Struggling but looking to people such as yourself; you’re experience becomes wisdom for yourself & others.

    I can totally relate. I'm 21 months off and I have had 'good' days, but I'm also still having bad days. I'm also completely sick off feeling like sh*t all the time and always trying to get through the days and trying everything to feel better. I've definitely improved, but it can still be hard as well. All we can do is keep pushing through and trying to live healthy. Don't feel sorry for complaining, we all understand. I also have the hyper focus when I feel bad and my mind will race and race. When I feel better, it's gone. Luckily we have time on our side, we have already come such a long way.

    Recently got out of the ER myself and came back with the whole "everything looks normal" shit which I know they were simply doing their job. Just sucks getting no answers. Don't beat yourself up over posting a video expressing how you feel (good or bad) it's so very relatable. It's also helpful to you as an outlet.
    I'm no doc but I have worked in emergency care (if that helps any)
    You say you've taken a lot of stuff to alleviate the pain. Make a note that any antacid creates a coat in your stomach (neutralizing digestion) causing other things such as medications/acidic foods and drinks to basically sit there until it can be digested. Also, catching any virus does amplify symptoms (which I'm sure you know) I'm sorry you are/were feeling this way. In the same boat... So tired of years going through this wondering when it will finally end. I only just saw this video today. Keep us posted and hope you're feeling better 💜

    I’m so sorry to hear you aren’t feeling well...hopefully, it’s just the same thing that your daughter has. Also, please, please don’t ever feel like you’re “just complaining”, we’re here because we understand and we care!!
    Lastly - please, please get your Pancreas checked. A scan if you can of the entire area. My Sister went through something similar to you and only went in after the pain got so unbearable that Morphine wouldn’t even control it-please don’t let it get to that. Get it checked pronto.
    Let us know how you do - I for one will be waiting anxiously to make sure you’re okay and it’s nothing serious.
    Sending you lots of healing, positive vibes. Stay strong my friend.

    What you are suffering from is just another Benzo symptom. I'm at 18 months and got hit with the worst anxiety and DP/DR ever for the last two weeks, after three great window weeks. I have had the same chest pain near the bottom of my rib cage on and off for the whole time. Everything you have commented on in all of your videos are all typical benzo symptoms. Some go away, new ones crop up and some just hang on. I only took Xanax for 6 weeks, .25, and I also feel like I can't take it any more; want my life back. But notice that, day to day, week to week, it keeps changing, showing that the brain is healing in its own way. My guess is that there is nothing wrong with you that isn't a benzo symptom. We are going to get better; our lives will be returning. And thanks for all the videos; much, much appreciated!

      Rounder One thank you for being so positive, I’m almost 15 months off and suffering, I can only hope to have this go away one day, I had a five month window where I felt I was healed but then after some severe stress was put into a setback, really hoping to come out of it sooner rather than later. I was on a high dose for years, prescribed 3mg of klonopin for four years so I’m thinking this is why it’s taking me longer

    • @shelbyreese01
      @shelbyreese01 6 лет назад +1

      Tax Breaks yes he is helping, your down regulated receptors need time to start working again, the gaba needs to start working on its own again and the glutamate needs to prune down again, your gut and microbiome are a mess right now, your CNS is damaged and injured from Benzo use and it needs time to heal. There are several awesome Benzo wise doctors I’ve spoken with in the US and Canada and while they say we all do heal but it takes each of us a different amount of time depending on the damage done by these meds to your body and brain. We all react differently to stopping this poison, some are totally fine and barely have any withdrawal, others it takes years to recover but we all eventually do. This guy’s videos are great and reassuring, there is a reason people who are protracted to onto heal totally after 3 or 4 years. I’m 15 months out and still struggling but getting better, we are al different and we all heal in our time but some people are more sensitive to these meds then others

    • @shelbyreese01
      @shelbyreese01 6 лет назад

      Tax Breaks these things mess with your brain chemistry and some of us take longer to recover so this guy most likely is still going through the effects of having been on this medication

      Rounder One I’m at around 17 months now and I felt great at times and I just got hit with another wave ... fucking hell ... it’s my own fault though I ate yoghurt with sugar ( I thought I was basically healed and hungry so I gave it a try .. fell asleep and woke up in a wave .. stomach.. dp/dr .. vision problems the list goes on ) we need to monitor our diets closely !

    • @rounderone8437
      @rounderone8437 6 лет назад

      No matter what your diet, no matter how you take care of yourself, waves will come and go. I've found that too much exercise when you are feeling good or too much stress will always lead to a wave after a couple days. But it also can be coincidental, as waves come and go no matter what on the brain's healing schedule. When we get a wave, we tend to blame everything at that moment. Healing is just a matter of time. @@Xp8riot.

    Hey I actually dealt with exactly what you had and that's what led me to come off of the klonopin. What helped me out the most drinking cabbage juice. I had those exact symptoms and what made it worse was anything acidic so no coffee, no citrus fruits, it freaking sucks. It was in that EXACT spot, seriously cabbage juice is the go to cure and plain yogurt to soothe the acidity. Avoid anything inflammatory as well and also get some aloe vera juice which you can get at any whole foods store. Avoid apple cider vinegar it is really really acidic so avoid at all costs for the stomach issues.

    Could the gastritis be triggering your vagus nerve? It's a nerve that runs from the stem of your brain down to your intestines and is a major part of your nervous system. It's possible it's connected to your gaba receptors healing or it could be something unrelated. I'm sorry you're frustrated. No one thinks you're complaining. You have every right to feel angry, pissed, sad, annoyed at this whole process and how it's affected your life. Your videos aren't stupid. Venting it out is good. Going through withdrawal is traumatic. There are so many things going on at once, you don't know what to process first. But it still is valid trauma to your body and mind. Grieving all the suffering you have gone through and feeling angry at what this drug did, I can go on and on. You're on the right track with seeing the naturopath. Please keep us updated. Sixlow I had that for months. It burns and I always felt like I wanted to throw up. I started the Ketogenic diet and then I started drinking apple cider vinegar every morning 2 table spoons with 6-8 oz of water. The pain went away within 5 days. I was getting that pain bc I didn't have enough acid in my stomach. I was taking Prilosec and Nexium and it made it worse bc it lowers the acid and acid is what you need. It took me 30 months to fully recover. I did not get any relief at all until the 24 month mark. I had every weird and severe symptom in the book. My naturalpath gave me equal parts liquid kava, Valerian, passionflower, skullcap. All in alcohol tincture form. That mixture saved my life. Any symptoms I got I took this mixture (I took it a lot). 99% of the time whatever it was went away for about 30 min to 1 hour. This reassured me it was withdrawal related. She told me to take it until whatever was happening stopped. She was such a great doctor and knew I was suffering so bad that I needed no bullshit relief first and foremost. She really knew her stuff when it came to benzo withdrawal. This mixture stopped any anxiety or panic attack within 1 minute. I may have not made it without it.

    You should check for (GERD) also known as (acid re flux) or have your spleen checked to see if its inflamed or enlarged since this can also cause this kind of discomfort.
    Gallbladder can also cause this kind of feeling....if you notice that the pain becomes more intense after eating and you feel like a numbing raw burning that rips into your left mid stomach or chest area then it could be gallstones or inflamed acute gallbladder.
    Just some ideas, but it could just be trapped gas which can at times become painful and make you feel nausea especially after eating certain kinds of foods or liquids.
    I suffer from severe GERD and also have had my gallbladder removed due to large stones very painful feels like acid when ever I would try to eat something bloody burned for hours.
    I used to tell my doctor I feel like I'm suffering from a touch of jelly belly lol..

    Could be a bug but it sounds like it could be gastritis caused by stress, a virus and/or acid reflux caused by a hiatal hernia. They often come hand in hand. If this has happened before then I'd get a gastroscopy done where they stick a tube down your esophagus and stomach and check for inflammation and a hernia. It would be a good idea to get that checked with a gastroenterologist. Hang in there man. You were feeling better in your last video. Just be very careful with the ingredients in your food and check for alcohol in everything, including what the naturopath suggests. You're a soldier and you've made it through hell and back.

  • @firefly-cq5ck

    Did you have your gallbladder checked you could have sludge in your gallbladder or a gallstone stuck the reason I say that is because you get the burping the pain all that any pain in your shoulder blade or upper back I have a squeezing in the ribs feels like someone is constantly giving me a big bear hug it's crazy I've had my gallbladder checked twice now they can't seem to find anything but I need to go for a HIDA scan to see if there is sludge in there that is what my doctor said because that could be causing the pain I have under my ribs oh my goodness you talk about your stools being light and everything that is one of the major precursors to a gallbladder issue I would have the gallbladder checked out just my opinion I wish you luck let me know if you find out I would appreciate it greatly I'm trying to find out what's going on with my rib area also you can have a perfectly good gallbladder but it's can show up that way with no stones in it but when they do the HIDA scan it will show that it isn't working that is why my doctor wants me to do one I've been thinking about it seriously just afraid and I hear you when you say you are so sick of this crap I am a year off of lorazepam and I have had it to the max

    • @firefly-cq5ck
      @firefly-cq5ck 6 лет назад

      sixslow yes just scan will show whether you're gallbladder is working or if you have any stones in the duct work going to your liver or sludge good luck I would appreciate you letting me know because I'm going to be next to doing that damn scan I guess they inject something died in there and watch it travel through everything that's what I heard and I'm allergic to. I go figure that I don't know what the heck they're going to do with me have to figure something out my body is so sensitive to everything I also have the ultrasound showed nothing and my doctor said yeah it probably will until they do the HIDA scan that's the good one that will show the stuff if there is nothing there then you can be assured it's not the gallbladder

    I’ve heard a lot of people say that 2 years is when most people in protracted feel better, I hate it to cause you always feel like people are moving the goal posts, some say a year, some say 2, some say 5, I can’t do this for 5 that’s all I know, my chronic fatigue is so bad I get surprised every morning I wake up that I’m still alive, I stopped that crazy fruitarian diet thing, total BS, I’m now researching Aajonus Vonderplanitz and the high meat world, many swear by it as the best natural probiotic in the world, seems gross but like you I’m super desperate to fix my gut, just throwing it out there if you wanna try it with me, also I’m still doing no cooked foods at all, been reading how some say to much cooked food is what’s making us sicker these days, I’m doing lots of raw eggs, steak tartare and fresh salmon sushi, just the meat though, no rice or anything, let’s keep trying stuff bro! What else can we do?

    Eat salmon and vegetables. Start eating better smaller meals. Don’t eat 4 hours before bed or laying down. Could be a small hiatal hernia. Take some chelated magnesium. Raw garlic can make it worse especially if your sensitive. Force yourself to exercise a bit. Start over with your food diary as your almost two years out . Proton pump inhibitors are not good long term. Acid reflux and gastritis really suck with benzo withdrawal. Force yourself to exercise!! It helps with GI issues and anxiety!! It definitely helped my small hiatal hernia. It will help with acid reflux as well. Also red apples are good for hernia and acid reflux as the skin reduces acid stomach

      Bob Lil I've had a naturopath say I have a hiatal hernia. They did this massage that pulled it down and it felt great . But yea I'm eating cleaner now and smaller meals. I took garlic this morning and I think you're right it made it worse. I usually lift weights. But I will start running too. It usually helps pull my stomach down so it doesn't feel like it's in my chest thanks for the advice !!

    Buy and read headstrong by dave asprey bro. You have alot to learn. What did the naturopath say? I have had stomach issues for over a year. Stay away from garlic and onion, do not take medications like prilosec.. start eating more healthy fats, lots of leafy greens, for example spinach and lots of good quality meat. Eat as much organic as possible. And use coconut oil or ghee when you cook food. Try to eat maximum 3 times a day and in a window of about 9 hours a day. I'm struggling with benzos myself. Cold turkeyed on Sunday. You are lucky to have a wife and daughter. Your body is self healing and self regulating. Watch Dr John Bergman on RUclips! I can't stress this enough you have a lot to learn about the body health and nutrition. Peace and be well.

    As bad as things are right now & have been for years u gotta watch your kid grow up anyway despite how painful stuff is. U wouldn’t fully appreciate the whole depth of it on benzos better, you’d just be more flat emotionally than what people deal with in reality not on pills. Maybe stop focusing on diet entirely and go hour by hour instead of day by day.
