I think they need to talk more about the economy, a lot of people I talk to are worried about that right now between prices skyrocketing, older people worried about not being able to retire and also worried about how that keeps younger generations out of well paying trades for longer, mass layoffs, the ever worsening housing crisis, etc. Maybe they don’t consider it good politically to talk about it when harris is part of the current admin, and people always blame the current president for everything wrong regardless of if it makes sense. but despite social issues being the main focus for both sides, a lot of people need someone they think will alleviate the economic issues. Even just talking more about housing or protecting social security would go a long way, or talking about how trade wars and bad border policy will tank the economy

The purpose of a rally is to drum up *local* support, so they use “stump speeches” to ensure that all of those folks get the campaign message and to make the campaign trail manageable. It’s not really supposed to be about the folks watching online, who may watch the speeches over and over. Trump does not use a speech writer really or do stump speeches so it makes sense that folks forgot that’s how elections usually are run. But yeah it’s actually a tried and true campaign tool.

They have a great speech planned out, it seems carbon copied from the last speech almost word for word which is good for nailing in a repetitive message but after hearing everything a second time I’m starting to wonder how they’ll mix it up enough to get through the next 90 days without losing momentum or interest, just a thought, it’s a good speech, just don’t milk it till it’s dry
ill let the repeat speech slide since he was literally announced yesterday, but yes they shouldn't repeat the same speech moving forward. keep the same talking points, but move between them in different ways every rally depending on where they are and what the trump campaign chirps about
The purpose of a rally is to drum up *local* support, so they use “stump speeches” to ensure that all of those folks get the campaign message and to make the campaign trail manageable. It’s not really supposed to be about the folks watching online, who may watch the speeches over and over. Trump does not use a speech writer really or do stump speeches so it makes sense that folks forgot that’s how elections usually are run. But yeah it’s actually a tried and true campaign tool.
