I really didn't mean to offend anyone when I said that an older generation probably don't mind the older style of furnishings
It wasn't meant in malice
Just each generation tends to like generally a certain style
This hotel attracts more of an older generation and it's decorated, carpeted etc more in an older style

Your doing fab with your videos pointing out the good and the bad. Fabulous Hotel review, all the best reviewers say it as it is.Its clean and good food nothing not to like .I used to work in a 4 star hotel before retiring and management used to say check in is the most important impression and it really is,

Started following you due to my son in law comes from outside Blackpool I'm 67 years old and been visiting Blackpool since I was a wee girl! When you mentioned it's for old people I don't think it's fair to say we are used to hotels like this and don't bother the way the hotel looks and don't care I can assure you I'm very young at heart and have travelled the world and stayed in the best hotels so felt I had to say that us old people take what we get isn't correct. Also it's not just old people that don't like being filmed a lot of young people don't like being filmed. Hotels in Blackpool are old and there are some great hotels around OK rant over I just want to say I've loved watching your videos of around Blackpool My son in laws family say I know more about what's going on in Blackpool than them Take care and look forward to more videos! @@MyersFamilyVlogs1 sweetheart you didn't offend me I just thought it wasn't right to say we accept the hotels because of our age I've been in some dodgy hotels in Blackpool over the years lol what I think has happened is a lot of retired people go for a few days and coach tours are popular so the big hotels give cheap breaks and that's where they make their money I always drive to Blackpool and ive walked out a couple of hotels that were not up to my standard lol oh and I hate bingo Give me good music and some pink gin 😍 I'm enjoying watching your hotel videos so I can dodge the "oldies" 😂 Keep them coming! ❤️Cathy xx🏴

That's why I started following your videos They are fun and you have a lovely family oh I used to only drink vodka till my girls said try gin! Pink gin (Gordon's) always cheaper at asda lol and lots of ice and lemonade I used to have bad hangovers with vodka but not from gin lol its so nice try one next time your out xx❤️

It looks a very spacious bright room, not like some of the places I've stayed in. This hotel has got a lovely warm welcoming feeling, it's certainly got all the amenities that you'll ever need . Ooh love a game of bingo, entertainment looks fab. It seems to be a tradition to have squeaky stairs in hotels. Food looks nice and tasty, thanks guys for your review and your honesty. Xx👍
Yes I loved our room was spotless and beds were so comfy I did not want to get up lol and loved the entertainment was top notch glad you enjoyed the video Deborah x
Nice video Katie and don’t worry I wasn’t offended in anyway reference to old people, but yes I know what you mean. Maybe the hotel just needs a little decor here and there. Shame you were met with an angry member of staff to start. Rooms all look good and that breakfast certainly looked appetising. Nice relaxing hotel lounge too.
Hi David thanks 😊 the member of staff was just a bit abrupt and it caught me off guard, like someone else said on here, the impression at reception means alot
But all the other staff were wonderful and that man was nice the rest of the time but that particular incident made me feel a little uncomfortable
Shame though as it's a nice hotel and the owner and manager are lovely

It's a nice big lift too. The lounge is great, halls extremely claustrophobic tho, but u only walk thro it.
You can people watch from that room, I LOVE people watching, especially when there squiffy, there So funny. Enjoy your stay

Hi Emma the whole team was fabulous it was just on one occasion when I first arrived that a member of staff was a bit abrupt with me
I didn't appreciate that

Hi, another great video. I’m hoping to take the family to Blackpool for a couple of nights (Tuesday and Wednesday) at the end of November and was wondering if you could advise a suitable hotel. On site parking is essential as I keep 2 wheelchairs in the car which are not needed in the hotel but are for out and about. Ideally something on the seafront with a bar would suit but I notice a lot of the hotels are doing Turkey and tinsel this time of the year which I’m trying to avoid. A bit of entertainment would be nice but Christmas in November is a big No from me. You did a video of the Royal Boston which looked great but unfortunately is fully booked. I think Silversands may be another hotel doing Turkey and Tinsel so rules that out. We were going to book the Lyndene but, you’ve guessed it, Turkey and Tinsel - arghhh!
A few seafront hotels that are popular are Craig y don and much further up the promenade is Bluewaters hotel big blue hotel by the pleasure beach? You can even get rooms by the rollercoaster tracks 😁

People were saying its awful we've been on a tximas break and some stayed here and waa saying it's awful.
It's not a hotel I would choose to book to be honest but some people like it they do have regulars going every year but not my cup of tea
We was in Blackpool but it wasn't Blackpool as you had to get a tram into Blackpool ww said at Norbreck castle hotel

I’m not too happy with your comments about the older generation. We all feel differently about a lot of things, but I’m sure everyone has their priorities, such as, very clean, nice food, and a welcoming environment. If a place needs updating, then ok, you can mention that of course, but if the price is a bit lower because of that, then that may be fine with any age.

The hotel is very clean the food is very nice and they are very friendly I was referring to the decor of the hotel x
Many thanks for your review video.......everything was filmed great and you gave a good honest opinion 👍. I'm nearly 70, so I guess that I can be classed as 'the older generation' lol. From the brief overview that I got from your video, the hotel is not one that I'd choose to stay at. Net curtains at the windows are such a yucky look. Serving tinned tomatoes and insipid looking bacon on a breakfast is a definite no no. The pie didn't even look homemade either. Doesn't really give the impression that the hotel serves good quality food. A coach parked right outside the dining room window blocking the view is another definite big no no. The dark corridors to the rooms look very narrow and claustrophobic. An ancient lift doesn't sound like it gives a good impression either. As you say, we are all different, and each of us have different tastes and expectations. I've no idea of the hotel star rating or the room rates, but the look gives off the impression of it being a 2 star hotel. Given the location, the size, some investment into a full modernisation programme and serving good quality food, this could be made into a great hotel. However, I do appreciate that the hospitality industry is still struggling following covid, the devastation that the lockdowns had on the industry, and of course the current economic situation, which is currently having a huge effect on many businesses. It's great that the hotel has survived all this and is still up and running, and hopefully continues to do so. I may be totally wrong with everything that I have said about the hotel, and my comments are in no way meant to be nasty. I'm purely giving my honest opinion as to my observations of the hotel from watching your video.
Hi yes I do understand your comments it's definitely needs a face lift, there sister hotel the oak lea was amazing I really loved my stay at the oak lea, but this one personally wasnt my cup of tea

I think we didn't get gravy as we only eat vegan food, but yes the corridors were a bit narrow and darker in places x
