- I'm a former Susi Air pilot, instructor and manager, and I'm making a series of tutorials on the Caravan SOPs. These Standard Operating Procedures are specific to Susi Air, however are similar to most other Caravan operators.

Also please consider buying my book, "Papa Kilo: A true story from a Susi Air pilot in Indonesia", in the end of the video. This was a book which I wrote myself, from back in the days when I was flying Cessna Grand Caravans with Susi Air in Indonesia.
If you're interested aviation, or even just like adventure, please consider buying my book. If you're unconvinced, just check the reviews here:

Nice! I'm having a look! Thank you for your time and enthusiasm!!!! I appreciate.
Informative!
Hello, just watched your landing and approach video, your taxi and start video absolutely loved them.
Kindly if you do not mind doing a detailed walk around video. Especial for someone who could be preparing for a job interview or type rating exam.
Hi Wambui, unfortunately I don't have any footage of the walkaround, just still photos. But I'll see if I can make a video on this in the near future 😁
Hello, I have a question. Why do I need STBY ALT PWR and IGNITION, and when do I need to turn them on?
Hi, SBY Alt PWR should be turned on during final checks before entering the runway, it’s used to provide electrical power in the event of a gen failure. You can switch it on and deliberately turn the gen off and you will see that the SBY power then comes on, reset the gen and it goes back off but stays armed. Leave it on until after landing. Ignition should be switched on when entering the runway until 2000ft, it helps prevent a chance of engine flame out. You can also switch on flight when in heavy precipitation for example.
