Love this series, it's fun watching you guys a little bit out of your element. The ND wind and cold is no joke, when it's near 0 degrees and a stiff wind sometimes doing a 2-3 hour sit is all you can manage. Even the warmest of gear can't keep you warm much longer than that when you're up in the tree not moving. It's also pretty frustrating sitting out there killing yourself when you might see nothing moving all night. Keep up the good work! A little bit of luck and it will eventually happen.

Eric is stepping up to the Whitetail side with vigor, new climbing gear , hang ons and putting some hard cold time in the stand, props to you my brother, sitting still for hours on end in cold weather ain’t nothing to sneeze at, Keep up the good work

You guys have absolutely nothing to apologise for. That's whitetail hunting for you. You are doing things out if your comfort zone and seeing deer. Trust me... You ARE succeeding! It's tough... Not like climbing mountains and dealing with elevation elk hunting tough, but it's a different kind of tough. I can't explain it. Great job and can't wait for the rest of the videos!

Little hint of advice about the deer. Once they shed their velvet then most of the bucks move to different areas. Pictures in july and August don't mean much because only a few bucks will stay in that area all year

First full year of hunting in Missouri since moving from the West Coast. Figuring out whitetails yes it completely different ballgame then mule deer. I enjoy your videos and learn something new every time I watch one. Keep up the great work.

Welcome to Whitetail. It's addicting. It becomes more addicting with trail cams taking inventory of what's on the property. Then comes the pre-rut/rut. It all changes and sometimes you'll find yourself back at square number 1. As the summer patterns change in prep for the rut, so do the travel routes to a degree.

Still envy you guys! Just read my own previous comment. Didn't mean to sound rude if that's how it came off my bad! Your videos are awesome and with no help from big outfitters! So much respect. My previous comment wasn't meant to be bad but you guys seem to always be crunched for time.

Might have tried a decoy. Sometimes the big ones just sit back&go nocturnal. Unless you’re able to give them a excuse to come in for a look...

You don't want that long drawn out for bleet from the can. That's a distress call. You want to use 3 short bleets that are less than a second long for each one.

The problem with setting up while your hunting is the deer know every tree and branch and new equipment smells to high heaven.

you ve probably already talked to real professions who hunt whitetail. but i hunt them in a really pressured area all my life. handing a hound before going hunting really isnt a good idea. scent is a major thing to the whitetail . alot of movement is another. if they think its not normal gone bye, bye . i sit motionless as long possible using only eyes to see if i move my head its in slow motion. nothing touch my gear but wind, rain, snow, me after a no scent shower . i touch nothing till out the door. i mean that. lol i eaten acorns to cover breath or corn or apples where i am hunting if thats the food there. most deer here dont live past 3 yrs even if noctural cause of pouching. when i use my grunt its not loud they hv really good hearing if looking and it calm. if its really windy i wont . if they hear it they know exactly where your at . i mean exactly. just to help.

Love the channel especially being a Utah boy myself. Seems you guys never have enough time for each hunt. I respect what you are doing and having fun doing it but the videos seem cut short sometimes because you have personal obligations always.

Eric, I wouldn't call you a sissy. I was born and raised in Cut Bank, MT. It's 25 miles south of the Canadian border and is the coldest spot in the nation many times. I don't like hunting in the wind period and then when the cold sets in its too miserable to just sit in a tree stand. More spot and stalk and rifle hunting. Hope you get your deer.
