The composite screens offer almost zero benefit. It’s extremely rare to actually be shot by heatfs, and very few people are using heat rockets at 11.7. Since it gets a better engine, it mostly negates the downsides of the useless armor
It might save you from top-tier russian wallet warriors who bring the 2S38 and/or the BMP-2M, but this might just sound like cope. Plus, it looks cool as hell now.
It supposedly makes it almost immune to 30mm APFDS fire which would make it very hard to die from autocannons, and it might protect from rockets and missiles. Its not going to be a rolling bunker, but the protection increase is significant enough and it also has a better engine so its not even that much slower. Also dont forget it sits as the same BR as the other Leopards, so its not supposed to be a direct upgrade.
If you are talking about what vehicles they use, it is always fairly close to the minimum BR allowed in the match, so if you are trying to test a vehicle without going into a live match just set the minimum allowed BR to be whatever the BR of the vehicle you are using is. If you mean actual AI behavior in a match, I wouldn't count on that changing any time soon.

Just looking at it right now, the PSO cannon is NOT as long as the 2A5 cannon. I'm sure it is physically the same gun but it just isn't the same length modelled
People really downplay composite protection against apfsds. Think of it this way the main turret cheek of the 2a5 is literally the same as the 2a4 it just has that angled composite. Adding anything additional even if it’s just like 30mm protection can change the angle of attack and deplete the rounds strength simply by making it bounce the right away. So with that extra angling on the front plate with the composite plus that dozer which probably adds like an additional 40mm of spaced protection as the dozer does on my 2a4. You’ll probably be surviving some for long to mid range apsfds shots.
The internal armor values in game on xray are the exact fucking same. the only difference is the external composite added ontop of the cheeks.@@legamernat

Also could some make up some story that because its prototype 3rd gen was considered.
@@unlockingsnow73 those tanks realisticaly have gen 1 thermals in gunner sights, because fire control in this tanks is done both by commander and gunner. Commander spots the target, relays coordinates to the gunner, which then aims and fires. If you want gen 3 thermals in leopards you should use commander sight, takes a while to get used to but it's actually very useful

I don't know if these tanks were ever even made/converted to except demo vehicle, but I don't see why you wouldn't just convert 2A6 with to the PSO while retaining L/55, since PSO is just and upgrade package, so gaijin might give it L/44 or L/55 in the future if balancing requires so
The PSO is designed to be a model of a leopard intended for urban use, the shorter barrel makes the tank easier to manouver inside a city street. The L/44 is intentional@@Raphix

the length is right, because the PSO is built to operate in urban areas, hence the shortened barrel
