- I unbox the Vertex M100A. A modern reissue of a Dirty Dozen watch from one of the original 12 brands that manufactured the Dirty Dozen watches during World War 2. This is the latest version of their M100, maybe released about 5 months ago, this is the M100A for Automatic. The previous versions have been manual hand wound only.

I cannot stress the quality of these watches. They are brilliant.
You'll get no objections from me on that matter
Just ordered mine today...can't wait, its a great watch. Great review thanks.
Hope you enjoy it!
So many high end watch manufacturers copy this model and some look good but this is an original!
It's almost an essential yo anyone's watch collection who is very much into watches.
Bremont and Christopher Ward and at least another 30 other brands who try and fool people with wording their description but I love mine !!!
Timor is not too bad !
Great video and content !
Love the 3-D numbers too !
Thanks. I believe Vertex will be making a more true to vintage scale 36mm version.. perhaps later this year. Should be manual wind and I think it will have screw in bars instead of spring bars.
I’ve admired this one for some time. It’s a great looking quality piece. I feel it’s worth the price. Wear in good health and update on how it fairs 🙏
Beautiful watch
Really nice watch! Wear it with pride! Dirty Dozen!
Very nice. Was really interested in one when the original launched but very disappointed with the buying process (ie lack of) so moved on and bought something else. Lume numerals looks great 👍
Is it the sellita caliber inside? I would be interested to know if there is a ghost position on the crown ?
Sellita. No ghost. Excellent accuracy
VAER recently released their 3rd version of their 36mm dirty dozen homage, as a limited run. It now has an automatic movement and a screw down crown. The ETA hand wound movement (Valjoux) used in their 1st version is NLA to watch manufacturers outside of the SWATCH group. This is probably why Vertex switched to an automatic movement too. It probably explains why Vertex made their previous handwound version in such small quantities.
If W.W.W. stands for Wrist Watch Wound, then the automatic movement is a heresy. If it stands for Wrist Watch Worn, then I guess not. Going forward it seems that any hand wound small minute swiss watch is going to be significantly more expensive. Such movements are available from Swiss caliber makers outside of the Swatch group, but they are expensive.
I am aware. As I mentioned in the video, I had considered the Vaer dirt dozen style watch. In fact, I had preordered one a while back. But, cancelled it. I found it too plain and dainty at 36mm.. though, I know that is closer to original Dirty dozen size. I like the modern interpretation of the Vertex. An evolution of the watch rather than trying to remake . Also, I didn't like the details and proportions of the Vaer.
Thank you for the review. May I know the thickness and weight?
This is not a review yet. Just a first look.thickness is about 12.1mm. I don't have a scale so I can't tell u the weight
I wish this was 36mm. If they ever make this in 36 I will get one for sure.
36mm? Check this video out with Vertex owner.
Fast forward to 31:21

@@khronokraze That is excellent news. Thank you. I hope they do it.
Check the video link i wrote in the last reply
@@khronokraze Yep I did watch that. That’s excellent news
looks great, what is your wrist size?
7"
Love it, but went to the website and saw the price. And that’s where they lost me. I would still be thinking about this watch, even if it was as low as 750$ because it’s a $550 watch at best.
It might suit the Artem sailcloth straps , or as you say high quality rubber.
I can see that. I've been wanting an Artem. However, just trying to prepare myself for the cost. The setup I want will be near $200 for 1 strap.
@@khronokraze yes they’re not cheap, but it’s a worthy watch and probably less than ten per cent the price of the watch itself . If you do treat yourself and get one please do an update . I’d be interested to see it . I came across the watch the other day and I think it’s a great looking piece
@@leemartin2978 I'm likely to get at least one some time. Will certainly post videos of it on my channel when I do.
@@khronokraze great I’ll look forward to seeing that 👍
Nice watch! I really like all of Vertex's offerings, just wish they weren't so expensive. I'd probably go with the Aqualion diver if I ever got one. I think the other one that you were trying to remember is the MP45 A mono-pusher chronograph. I love how they do the lume block arabic numerals. Cool unboxing, congrats on the watch (and the Zodiac too!)
I wish they weren't so expensive, too. But, sometimes just have to go with what you like. I don't like any other versions of this style of watch .. well, not entirely true.. I just think this is the best that appeals to me and thus I wasn't going to settle not waste my time with anything else.
Yes, the other 2 models, the AquaLion and Monopusher chronograph are pretty nice also
Man I'd buy a Sinn for that price and get twice the tech. If you have to have the broad arrow have it mean something because it also has an NSN, I'd go with an Elliot Brown, like I'm wearing right now. For about 25% the price.
I already got 2 Sinns
I’ve owned a sinn 556a and it doesn’t look in the same league as this
if you talk about different watches show pictures of those watches...
So…..what’s new with this watch??! Except for the extra straps and packaging it’s just another “military style watch”.😳
