Worth noting John's list is illegal, Underworld only lets you go above the cap in 1 rank so you can't ever take 2 swoops and 2 bounty hunters, max is 2 for one rank and 1 in the other.
Imo the special ability on the Amban is so eh, far too inconsistent to rely on. Even if Din is run slim it doesn't feel very worth most turns. He could have been double moving up to try and help IG instead and probably would have been more worth even if the Amban effect hadn't flopped.
You are correct, somehow that slid past us. I blame the hectic coordination of 16 people trying to film games at night lol. I do agree about his gun… I have not found the ability to be worth it. Thanks for watching!

Not moving Lando into cover to avoid getting shot at by the laser dishes was a mistake. That being said though, I think John waved the white flag a little too early, even with IG and Lando gone. He still had Djin as well as a decent amount of units on the table. It would've been an uphill battle for sure, but there was a chance for him to swing the game around.

that exhaust on the land speeder! (really the bikes). Man a landspeeder showing up with that kinda sound coming out of it, most deffinelty the droid they are looking for (the IG droid).

That was a nice map for the laser cannon teams I can imagine on some more terrain heavy maps they just sit there and look pretty but don’t do much. Wish they would add a republic/separatist version to the game.

I was in the first match
Could anyone SEE the rebel officer behind the FD cannons? I know there was a tiny gap, but the cannon base silhouette is pretty big... so I'm not sure how he was getting shot at, especially by IG at around 20 min.
If they shot him we did check and they could seem him as the FD were not touching etc. thanks for watching!

Fun game! Unfortunate that John's dice didn't show up for the aggressive play.
Side note: Hunter only works on wounded troopers with multiple wounds, not on a trooper unit missing a mini.
This is not correct, a unit counts as wounded if it has wound tokens or missing models so the aim was given correctly.
Edit. My mistake, OP was correct.
You are correct hunter only works if a wound token is assigned. Not a missing model. I don’t believe we have ever played it that way, thanks!

He shot the mark 8, so it was a wounded unit. He changed targets and they kinda talked about it but didn't go into too much detail

Oof, I was really looking forward to seeing John's list get into action, but it just couldn't get going 😢. An HQ uplink on the landspeeder would have been huge on the Mechanical Carnage round though

Did you guys have a reservation to catch? The landspeeder could have finished off those troopers, which would have forced Luke to stay over there to finish the vap (or pull Boba away) and Din+Grogu are survivable enough to contest the other vap. The only possible way I could see an early concession is if Din’s 1 pip was in the contingencies but this game was nowhere near over. Also side note - Din’s rifle is garbage, the 3/4 for 1 damage isn’t even the biggest issue it’s the fact that it takes away his mobility.
No we did not. I let the players play but if someone wants to call it I don’t force them too. And yes Din one pup was a contingency. Thanks for watching!

Yeah understood, just frustrating to watch a player give up. And that makes the Din build even stranger; i cant imagine a scenario where the 1 pip wouldn’t get played (to where it would need to be a contingency) especially if he’s going sit back out of danger with his rifle to start the game

Commander Vader with underworld, battle med, force push and barrier
Command cards: Mechanical Carnage, Covert Obs, Independant Prog, New Ways, Anti Cap and Darkness Decends
IG-11 with bounty prog, emergency stims, integrated antenna and hunter
IG-88 with hunter, integrated antenna and emergency stims

The idea is terminators and Judgement Day themes!
