Methodology Most Popular TV Series vs Anime (2004 - 2021) Musical Battle :
1) I gathered data from myanimelist.net and imdb.com . The .csv files containing search interest values were downloaded from Google Trends for every anime and tv series.
2) Ammount Search Tool determined the average monthly search volume for every anime and tv series.
3) The number of searches per month for each calendar year were proportioned based on official reports from Google.
4) Data modeling through an algorithm invented by me to obtain the most realistic data possible.
5) Search interest values and proportioned monthly search volumes were placed in Excel for calculations.
6) The data was placed into Flourish Studio to create the data visualization piece.
7) Image and audio assets were added with Wondershare Filmora.

Anime is actually extremely popular. The main thing is it's not as WIDELY available on the popular streaming platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime and others and people watch anime mostly through piracy(not that I blame them) . So they don't make that much money.

Maybe you are young, but if you started watching anime like 10 years ago, naruto was one of the most beloved shows and aired for more than 10 years, in the same level of popularity of one piece, a lot of people where introduced to anime through naruto, one piece and bleach. And there where a lot of fansubbing groups that subbed weekly those shows, before everything became legalized as of now with crunchyroll and company.

First is that it will just finish its their last season and second most anime fans like good fantasy fighting, like naruto,dbz,jjk, demon slayer, op etc. I personally like all kinds of animes i like aot but i like others more, i love promised neverland, demon slayer too, jujutsu kaisen, black clover, fmb etc. I m just glad that there are great animes lately to keep me busy

I just love how One Piece initially was nowhere to be seen, and then slowly climbed the rankings throughout the years to end up in the top 3 consistently. Not bad for a show that was deemed as "dead in the West" (that claim was always BS, it was always popular in Europe, heck, here in the German-speaking countries, OP is way more popular than Naruto... it just played catchup in the US). Seriously, that series is now a top 3 show, and the Manga has now outsold the Batman series to become the #2 highest-selling comic book series, only lagging behind Superman. That doesn't happen if a series is "dead in the West". Good to see that that rhetoric can finally die for good (looking at Naruto fans). You love to see it. Also, hell yeah, AoT deserves the current #1 spot.
in the early 2000s it was dead in the west, to be specific in the U.S. it wasn't really a know show by many, they only anime most people knew back then was Naruto or DBZ.
I have watched One Piece till 'Marine Ford Arc and I can clearly say that the anime is overrated and most of the fans are immature. Ngl, I only watch OP because I fell in love with the manga, and manga was 100% better.
The anime adaptation is very poor and the art style are bizzare and mediocre.
Yes there are scenes where the atmosphere is very dark and lonely but whereas the character's eyes and mouth are too big for the emotion, and exxagerated facial expression.
I love One Piece manga but One Piece anime is just made to 'milk' these immature fans.

@@Tony-eu9qk I started it around September, I'm not very far into it but I'm surprised I like it as much as I do. The only other traditional style shonen I actually liked was Hunter x Hunter 1999. I'm not a big shonen guy but they seem fun to get into so I'm glad I like One Piece.

The fact that animes dont come on most tv an all of the tv series do (WE HAVE TO HUNT DOWN EACH SHOW WE WATCH ON DIFFERENT PLATFORMS) is amazing.
I'm just here to appreciate One Piece and Goda. The adventure, epic moments (both hype and sad moments), and especially its intricate little details that seem like useless turns out to be a big piece information many chapters later, are all the things that kept me going.

It always amazes me how a show as old as Dragon Ball still remained in the charts even after nearly 15 years of basically no content at all. I feel like it's hype can definitely be maximised with a new super arc.

es increíble lo de Inuyasha, siempre fue uno de mis animes preferidos, pero nunca pensé que fuera uno de los mas vistos durante tanto tiempo, la verdad que Rumiko Takahashi hizo una excelente obra y Sunrise como siempre hizo los propio con la animación
