Thanks for keeping me up and watching all your vids. Loving your stuff, looking to start a reef tank soon. Currently looking at budget and space :D I'll keep using your vids. Cheers and good to see a fellow Aussie in the youtube reef scene.
Taylor King thanks for watching and the kind words mate really appreciate it! If theres anything i can help you with dont hesitate to let me know! If youre in Melbourne Im actually presenting at the pet expo at flemington racecourse on starting your first reef tank!
@@firsttimereefertv1588 wish i was in Melbourne but I'm in Sydney. Helping set up my brother in law's Red Sea 170 over the next few weeks and I just moved into a bigger place so looking at tank size options. Cheers again and look forward to your next vids once i'm finished catching up on all the past ones.
Taylor King oh bummer!! Plenty of amazing stores in Sydney though! Will be plenty of videos coming from the pet expo and then after that I start my dream build so be sure to get up to date!
i was wondering how the nero 3 came apart without risking breaking it and its the same exact way! mine stopped spinning entirely and taking it apart and just scrubbing it all and its good as new
Um please tell me you rinsed of the acid before putting the pump back in lol. Also let the pump soak longer and the stuff will just slim over and come right off. Up to an hour depending how dirty it is.
Hey man, have you had issues with feed mode on your Nero? Every time I put it into feed mode using the in line controller, it just stays in feed mode until I unplug it and plug it back in.
@@firsttimereefertv1588 They swapped my pump over to a new one and the issue persisted. Using the app works though. Might have to start using the app only then.
Ok maybe vinegar could damage the wavemaker, if left for very long time, but please show us an example.. right now you have nothing backup your theory. And ive been using with no problems at all. Just feel its a bit overkill with title like that, because you heard its not good
Rob Hein theres a decent thread of reef2reef thats gone into depth about the potential of vinegar damaging pumps. Even BRS reccommend not to use vinegar but understand many have had success using it. Id rather avoid using a certain product of there is a potential for it to have a negative impact. Heres a link to the thread: www.reef2reef.com/threads/beware-of-vinegar-the-pump-killer.643396/
I have three Korelia pumps I can upload pictures of if you would like. The Vinegar gets into the seal and causes the epoxy to swell causing cracks in the housing. Hydor said this was the cause when I discussed the issue with them.
@@firsttimereefertv1588 I don’t own one myself, but I really like the pump. I know they have new guards to address the fish deaths, but they take away from the slim clean look. I was shocked when they came out with the Nero 3 and yet didn’t change the large honeycomb pattern in back. Not to mention the magnets are weak on 1/2” glass. Not sure what AI aka EcoTech is thinking. Decisions Decisions....too bad they haven’t redesigned the backs yet.
@@firsttimereefertv1588 they should keep the same honeycomb pattern in back, but make it smaller and maybe open up the sides a little so it doesn’t reduce the flow.
@@Reefahholic like I said Ive never had a problem and nor do I know anyone that has. Any fish that gets stuck to a wavemaker is already on its way out imo 🤷♂️

Thank you Mr Parker!

zxc hey man! I only use the app to control the nero not the little controller. Do you use the My Ai app?

zxc oh bummer! Ive only ever used tue app because i can not be bothered reaching into a cabinet 🤣 cant wait to get another one!

that clownfish is a bully 😂
Has your Nero 5 killed a fish yet?
Not a single fish, snail or invertebrate! Has it for you?
