Good review - Another thing to consider if you want to get this pack is the excellent value for money that Helikon-Tex once again brings to the table...I also have the Savotta Jakaari S which is in a similar price range , a bombproof pack but so much less comfortable and lacking in features compared to the Bergen. I use the Bergen not only for day hikes but even to go to work and travel. Pro tip : you can make it even lighter and more versatile by removing the plastic insert and replacing it with a cheap gardening knee pad which you can also use to kneel/sit in the forest. Had this pack for about 4 years, still in excellent condition.
I love my Helikon Bergen. Had mine for about two years now and it's hardly showing any signs of wear. I've increased capacity on mine by fitting the Helikon bushcraft dump pouches in between the side pockets and the front pocket. It's a superb pack, I hope you enjoy it for years like I have.

@@buffyjohn thank you John 👍
Thank you for the review. I use the US army butt pack attached to the molle to store my British Army basha kit.
@@bigkev73 excellent idea !
I'm with you, I think this is the perfect bushcraft day hike pack! Enjoyed the video. 👍
@@doulos4Jesus thank you !
Thank you. Any pack that can hold a bush pot in a pocket is a winner in my box.
@@WillieMakeit it’s quite a versatile pack
@@WillieMakeit what size bush pot are you able to fit in the outside pocket? Thank you.
@Traveler1226 a pot that nests with the nalgene. That is the maximum size
Nice pack. Considerably smaller than the HT Matilda but more heavy construction. Do I see a little Council Tool hatchet hiding under the flap?
You have keen eyes my friend !
I have been using that one for a while and plan to post a review about it. Spoilers: it’s an awesome hatchet
Are the outside pouches big enough to fit an M-40 cook set? Thank you love this pack!
@@Traveler1226 no it wouldn’t work. The pouch is already tight for a nalgene and cup
