    Fits a 3x3 tarp, pegs and ridge line great, attaches nicely to most packs and if your tarp is wet it keeps your gear dry, quite a few folks seem to forget dry bags keep water in as well as out, really love mine 😊

    I have 2 of them. It can be used to stuff a summer sleeping bag like the Swagman Roll or the SnugPak Jungle Bag into it. You can even put a tent like the SnugPak Ionosphere without the poles into the Foxhole Bag. You can use a smaller backpack and carry the bulky item in the Foxhole Bag. It can be attached under some Backpacks and it is not swinging around.

    I tested the water resistance on mine and it's pretty much what you'd expect from the fabric: In light to medium rain it'll stay dry for a couple of hours, but in heavy rain (let alone under the shower) it'll get soaked through quickly. I wouldn't mind seeing a fully waterproof version in the future, but for my purposes it's still a good piece of kit.

    I've had one attached to the side of my Helikon EDC pack for the last 4 months - the EDC is my work bag (I'm a HGV Driver).
    IMO I'm a bit disappointed with the Foxhole Bag. I got the Foxhole to store my work softshell (Scruffs Softshell jacket) when not worn.
    The Foxhole bag is a bit too small to stuff a softshell in easily, then with this in, it's difficult to roll closed the top/side closure with a good seal.
    The Foxhole needs to be slightly bigger. You've still got the compression shockcord to reduce volume, but at the mo, this is redundant for me as the bag is full with a softshell in

    I think they've missed a massive chance to make it a full dry bag with Molle instead of daisy making it easy to add to a pack and used for emergency kit, fire kit, first-aid. I live in the Outer Hebrides and it's wet! 2, 3 even 4 dry bags added to the outside of my Bergen would be very valuable.

      Man, this bag is perfect, when you go on city with that u can match it even with track suit because of it casuall look. Second thing is that if would be with molle, there is coming "commando look", don't mind me, I love to wear tactical shit, but not everyday and not for every place and with this bag u can go everywere.

    My foxhole bag should arrive tomorrow and I´m quite excited about this bag.
    I have ordered it, together with a bushcraft dump pouch, to have a liter of water and a jacket with me on the walk, without the need of a sweaty backpack on hot days.
    Greetz 🤘

    This might work well on a Fjällreven Singi au lieu of the Singi side pockets! It's heavier while adding the same volume. It is multi-use though!
    Apropos: another word for 'strange' is 'different'.
    For way too many people what is *different* is also *strange*, unknown and therefore dangerous. They get worked up or scared and tend towards irrational behavior. Instead of trying to understand new (different) people/ideas, they will fight & destroy! Many populist movements get elected solely on this platform.
    Thanks for the review. Don't know why I went on that _strange_ rant!

      Hi Tim, sorry about the delay getting back to you. I've stuffed the bag to get it as circular as I can. The opening diameter is roughly 130mm or 5"... As it happens SnugPak have sent me some stuff to test out and I can confirm the Jungle blanket will fit in in it's compression sack. It's almost millimeter perfect for takes a wee bit of jostling but it will fit. I hope that helps buddy

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  Год назад +3

      I think Moorlander EDC has evolved over the years. It's more EDC plus outdoor items. Moorlander Tactical is more about the tactical gear side of life. Chest rigs, vests, holsters, eye Pro. There's a wee bit of cross over between the two channels. In hindsight Moorlander EDC probably should have been called Moorlander Outdoors 😂
