Ive seen hundreds of bags recently -but this one is the best micro-macro!! Those 2 collapsable water bottle mesh pockets+ the retractable front flap means you can go from small n sleek to full day capacity in a few minutes -good call -def a best of the best design :)!
@EverydayTacticalVids ordered this on the basis of your review. Couldn't be happier with this product. Perfect day or half-day hike bag and more. Solid construction. Great features.
I can see keys or a wallet going into that water bottle mesh. Then just tuck it into the zippered side. If someone wanted to pickpocket it, they'd have to get past the side zipper AND the mesh... Plus it's close to your side...
I have gotten one. I like its design but it's too small, oh what can 10L do? Just make a 20L version or big enough to hold helikon laptop briefcase then it will be perfect.
Seen some really cool stuff out of Helikon... particularly lately. I started following them when I was looking at the Bandicoot/Possum packs about a year ago now. People seem to give them very good reviews.
sry for late replay; i own bandicoot for few years now and absolutely LOVE it. its big enough to put standard 32oz nalgene bottle in main compartment and the way belt is constructed, iv'e detached the belt part and use it on my 2" battle belt standalone :) .
Cool for an edc bag I use the 511 sling bag for edc but it isn’t as gray man very cool I’d rather have a gray man bag for edc my 511 looks to tactical and keeps me from carrying it all the time but it’s always with 5 minutes from me
Great review, as always!. Could you please tell me the size of the main compartment? I'm thinking about buying this bag, but only if my EDC pouch fits in it. The size of the pouch is (loaded) 4 inches thick. The same for my Nalgene bottle with stainless steel cup around it, which I would like to fit in there as well. Of course we have the extra pockets on the sides, but sometimes it's nice to go low-profile.
Great review, great bag.. which colour is this, the grey or the black? ..cannot tell. Im about to buy one for daily motorcycle commuting, just wondering how would it hold against wet weather?
I got that's a Matt Graham knife...but I can't recognise it. What's the model? Btw, I was thinking about buying this bag...you may have just sold it to me hahaha
Nice review! I want to buy this bag, but I have a question: is it possible to fit a cell phone and/or a wallet in the side pockets where the bottle bag is stored when not in use?
Tim, it seems like you no longer do vids that you personally like / enjoy as far as content. Now days it’s like every vid is a product placement infomercial. I miss the good ol days.
Just two days ago I was griping about how I can't find a useful very small backpack for some short hikes - and here we are! Boy was this timely.
Great - hope this one works well for you if you buy it.

Only thing missing for me are some bottom straps to put something under the backpack like a blanket.
Rest is perfect
That water bottle feature is AWESOME
True true.

Thanks for the video. I just got mine today and it looks awesome.
Excellent. Let me know how it goes for you.
perfect little edc pack
Some time ago, I got this one for my girlfriend (in the Shadow Grey, as in the video). Ideal for a day hike, she loves it (the colour too 🙂)
I’ve been looking for a new pack. This looks great!
Solid bag for sure
Can"t decide on 1 of these or a Viper panther (or side-loader) Advice anyone ? thanks , good vid. :)
Looks like a good candidate for a day hike pack!

the bottom attachments and drink attachment sells the bag..
Jason Manahan agreed
Would be great with that size to stuff under the back seat of the jeep for a get home bag!
water bottle pocket sick I love it but little small very cool thanks brother
Yeah - cool but small - I agree.
Nice bag

Nice backpack bag review.
Thanks man
@@EverydayTacticalVids you're welcome
Thanks. Ordered one from your link.
Cool - let me know how the service is from Military 1st.
you solved my dilemma , water bottle, a lot of edc bags do not have something to hold one. thanks. I'm getting one. now.lol
I love helikon tex bushcraft matlida bag
Awesome vid Tim
Thanks for sharing !

511 makes some solid bags too. Helikon is still pretty new to me.
Is this the black or grey?
EverydayTacticalVids can you tell me how flat this will go? Wondering if I could put this inside of another pack flat to use as a daypack? Thanks Chad
When empty it compresses down to less than 2" thick.

Your tempting me with that bag. But also that grey jacket - what make is that?
Very nice
is the mesh thingo big enough to hold a fullface motorcycle helmet?
Great review, great bag.. which colour is this, the grey or the black? ..cannot tell.
Im about to buy one for daily motorcycle commuting, just wondering how would it hold against wet weather?
This is gray - good question. And as far as the weather, this one is water resistant but not proof.
great review of the pack TIm. You should checkout Helikon's EDC packs. You won't regret it...hehehe
I got that's a Matt Graham knife...but I can't recognise it. What's the model? Btw, I was thinking about buying this bag...you may have just sold it to me hahaha

Yes absolutely.
OFF THE HOOK REVIEW!
Hello, what do you advise me between this bag and the Maxpedition Valence ?
Both are good - Groundhog is cheaper, but I do find the Valence very comfortable.
If you have the cash I'd go with the Valence.
@@EverydayTacticalVids Thanks
what color is this?
Gray

If you're out mountain biking, you should wear the helmet on your head and not carry it in a backpack.
Don’t show us a big cool sheath and not show us the knife! You whipped out the Three Dog Knife but not the Matt Graham.
Future video - forthcoming.
EverydayTacticalVids Yay! Good deal. Thanks
I would put my dirty underwear in the mesh bag.
bravissimo....pollice in su.
