- You’re about to be blown away by what’s inside this shoe box. Welcome back to a special unboxing with Vick. Today, Vick is unboxing an autographed Sample 1985 Chicago Air Jordan 1 in brand new condition.
Have you ever seen an ‘85 Jordan 1 that looks this good? This particular pair of Chicago Jordan 1s is a Player Sample for MJ himself. So, how do we know they’re MJ’s sample? The shoe sizes. Interestingly, MJ wore two different sizes on court - 13 & 13.5.
The signature was authenticated by two independent sources, Beckett and PSA, so there’s no question that the autograph is legit. But what about the shoes? Finding a 1985 Air Jordan 1 in this condition is a rarity, so it’s natural to be skeptical about the authenticity of the sneakers.
After consulting some fellow sneaker experts Vick was able to determine that the shoes were 100% authentic. How crazy is that?
At this point, you’re probably wondering what a shoe in this condition with the OG box goes for. Vick’s best guess is anywhere from $150-160k. We’ll just have to wait and see what they fetch at auction.

I think it’s safe to say that this is the greatest sneaker on the planet
The third eyelet down from the top, it is further down and towards the back of the shoe compared to the ones they sell to the public. You can easily see the the difference in the outline of the curve of the red strip in that area. It swoops dramatically at that eyelet.

It bothers me that there is no yellowing. How did they avoid this? Were they vacuum sealed? I don’t buy for a second these are real.
Unfortunately we do not know how they were stored, but it is incredible.
@@RESHOEVN8R Thanks for the response. What are your opinions on how the yellowing was avoided? THere is no scenario outside of vacuum sealing that would prevent this as oxygen gets into everything and would certainly oxidize the shoe. These are so beyond new looking it feels uncomfortable accepting they are real. If these are real…. WOW!

@@B23rie Probably not. Only just a few for himself that will never be available to the public until after he is long gone. Retros really weren't a thing until about 1999-2000. 1994 retros sat on shelves and went on deep discount. My generation didn't want the old Jordans, we wanted the new stuff!
