    We took ours mistakenly onto some extremely difficult trails. We were at in mud up to the lower door and pulled out with the diff lock engaged. We were also climbing rocks that it looked like there was no chance. Really happy with this machine it is extremely well designed and outfitted at this price point.

    Thank you for replying, your opinion means a lot. I love my 2022 X2 850 XTR but will be trading it in for the new X2 1000 XTR. Can’t wait to see your follow up video. You were riding some very steep and muddy up hills, the X2 1000 seems like it handled it quiet well. Also, anything in the future on make it quieter I would love to know. Thank you MassiveOverkill!

      Your feedback means a great deal to me. I can't afford to lose a $400 GoPro and I'm not a professional journalist so I have to make do with the cheaper camera/audio options so you finding value in my footage makes my efforts worthwhile.
      I was in high gear the entire time except when I had to pull a 2.1 point turn and accidentally stuck it in low for about 50 yards before I realized it and switched back to high. I only used diff lock twice and the end of the video was one of those times.
      You'll find that times you've had to switch to low gear in your 850, you simply stay in high on the X2 1000. Now the only drawback to going with heavier clutch weights to lower noise levels is that you may find more times in the X2 1000 that you'll have to use low gear.........but low gear will be more useable and you'll find it more bearable to stay in low if you've got 50 yards to go between really steep climbs.

    Looks like a great option for a capable smaller more agile SxS. I have been contemplating a Polaris RZR trail, but really don't like Polaris . This looks like a winner.

    Sweet machine for sure! Love the size of it! These trails look awesome too! I bet you were loving every minute of this! Thanks for sharing!

      The X2 1000 is an RMAX2 in X2 850's clothing. These trails are one way do you don't have to worry about oncoming traffic, which means you can go balls to the wall without fear and doing that and having the X2 1000 respond instantly to last second decisions with its nimbleness is awesome! Maximum fun!

    Just think...if the X2 had some cup holders, it would be just like the Rmax. 😜

    Now that you ridden it in the hills, please give feedback. Thoughts comparing it to the 850 x2 and the Rmax?

    • @MassiveOverkill
      @MassiveOverkill  Год назад

      I actually have a follow-up video coming but the X2 1000 simply blows away the 850 X2 in EVERY aspect except noise and the MINIMAL cost to go from an X2 850 to an X2 1000 is trivial when you consider how much more capable and comfortable the X2 1000 is.
      There are already aftermarket solutions via heavier clutch weights from UTVEngineering that I believe will make the X2 1000 nearly as quiet as the X2 850 for those who demand minimal noise and don't need to drag race their Wolverine.

    How is the suspension? I think they will sell a bunch of these.

    • @MassiveOverkill
      @MassiveOverkill  Год назад

      It's VERY nice. This trip was done on stock settings. The ride was very nice. The suspension soaked up everything and the OG Bighorns helped with that as well.

    • @markflaugh2293
      @markflaugh2293 Год назад +1

      @@MassiveOverkill That’s great. Bighorns always hook up well too. If i had not just bought an Rmax 2 i would have really considered this machine if would have been available. Width and weight would make a difference here on the east coast.

    • @MassiveOverkill
      @MassiveOverkill  Год назад

      If\when they make the X4 1000, I probably would have done the same. The Black Hills aren't quite as tight as the East Coast so the RMAX fits even on the width restricted trails, but it would satisfy the Forest Circus requirements.

    • @markflaugh2293
      @markflaugh2293 Год назад

      @@MassiveOverkill Yes we have some size and weight regulations that the Rmax is a little too big and heavy for. Very close tho.

    Nice how do u find the switch for the three drive modes does it really work

    • @MassiveOverkill
      @MassiveOverkill  Год назад

      These were outfitted with the D-mode switch in the center dash. It works just like it does on the RMAX. The trails didn't really let you use Sport mode, but I did switch to crawl on some downhill descents. The clutching is on-point on these.
