      Most aftermarket intakes will produce the code, you only really benefit from any mods with a tune

  • @nayrpls
    @nayrpls 7 месяцев назад

    Do you need a tune for the intake? Does it actually suck in any more/less air or is it mostly for noise/heat

    • @antdo
      @antdo  7 месяцев назад +2

      A tune is required to drive with this intake. But you will see the most gains with a tune.

  • @spdrcrify
    @spdrcrify 7 месяцев назад +1

    I don't see a seal around the tube the filter goes on, where it goes into the box. So it's sucking hot air from the engine bay through the rear of the box. Also is there no kind of seal where the clear lid goes onto the box either??? I like the idea if the closed box better an less turbulent air on the mass air, I'd just like to see some more attention to the details.

    • @JamesTran04
      @JamesTran04 7 месяцев назад +14

      The amount of forced cold air being shoved through that snorkel out weights what ever minor open it has in the back of the box. Let's try to use some common sense shall we 🤦‍♂

    • @spdrcrify
      @spdrcrify 7 месяцев назад

      @JasonTran04 That's a great point if you live in the land of make-believe. But in reality, the intake is going to pull air from wherever its closest source is. Maybe there should be a disclaimer about it being a minimal amount once the vehicle reaches a certain mph, but while the vehicle is stopped or under that specified mph, you're still getting "some" hot engine bay air.

    • @CodeBonYT
      @CodeBonYT 6 месяцев назад +2

      Air doesnt care about proximity. It will always take the path of least resistance. @spdrcrify

      @@jasond91they’re not true fixes, it’s a hit or miss in a guessing game. The one and true way to fix the p2c90 is with a tune to open the pcv/crankcase valve parameter
