    Back in the day (late 90's is my back in the day lol), you could get alot of channels on portable tv's. And let me tell you this shit was BEYOND cool back then.

    I brought this Casio tv in 1992. But in the year 2024, that TV is still in working condition. Sometimes I use it as an old memory!

    1982 baby here…
    My dad bought me one of those in the 90s and I felt like I was living in the future! I remember watching Unsolved Mysteries under the covers… scared out of my mind 😅
    Those composite photos seemed to jump out of the screen!
    Fast forward to 2024 and I’m lying in bed watching nostalgic videos and true crime channels on either my tablet or phone 😌

    There was even boom boxes that had built in tvs both black and white and color ones. One of my favorite childhood hobbies growing up in the 80's and 90's was thinkering with electronics.

    I remember me and my brother watching the Red Sox playoff games in 2004 on our portable tv (that we pooled out money for) while at some school event. There were a bunch of people huddled around watching the little 4inch screen

    I'm surprised that you can even pick up ANY stations with this thing nowadays, as almost ALL TV stations are 100% digital now... At least here in the USA... This must certainly be somewhere else in the world where you're demonstrating this in operation, because where can you still pick up that many analog broadcast channels??

    Growing up in 90s this was a dream but it was like 300-500 dollars, do people realize a TB block (not card) was 500 in 2000s bro SD cards were 100s y'all have no idea how lucky kids Born in 2000s are
    Fun Fact: these portable tvs grew in popularity cause of the OJ trial and sports crazy huh

      Unfortunately, the analogic TV signal ceased in my country (Brazil) in 2017. It's impossible to watch older TVs here without a digital conversor.

    My family and I had a Sony portable TV! Could these portable TVs be powered off an original Game Boy AC adaptor? I once had a Gamester car adaptor, which had separate Game Gear and Game Boy modes, and at one point during a car journey where I was playing a lot of Game Gear, after not playing for a while, I saw the car adaptor was in Game Boy mode and it was being used to run our portable fan!

    They should still make these cause a phone does not pull in T. V channels. But a phone can get Radio channels. A. Dedicated T. V is nice!! Although channels are now digital. It's still possible to do

      this is not true at all. you can in fact play ps5 on this. you just need an hdmi to av or coaxial converter. then you get the right balun plug that you need and put it into the top antenna ext port.

      @@maskedathiestHDMI TO AV SUCKS but HDMI TO RF also great and also HDMI2VGA and VGA TO VIDEO for Geometry shape size like you want to cutoff 16:9 image to 4:3 video.. you can’t do that on HDMI2AV. Designed only for 16:9 TVs.

      @@maskedathiest mine looks just like this one but it doesn't have to antenna hole on the top it's got an audio hookup on the side underneath the antenna I just got it and I'm still tinkering with it I live in a valley up by Seattle and one chanel one UHF is trying it's making some noise I'm going to take it into town next and see what happens when the wife needs to go shopping 😁

      Unlikely, or at least the amount of work required to make it functional would destroy the portability of this TV. You would need to figure out how to convert the digital video and audio output from a PlayStation 5 to analog, and the screen would be too small to see much of anything. You would also have to plug this portable TV into its included power supply and be tethered to your nearest outlet as it would eat AA batteries like candy.

    Fantastic. My dad had a Sony Watchman FD-10A that I sometimes used. Black & White, analog knob. This Casio is high-tech, by comparison.
