⚠️ God has said in the Quran:
🔵 { O mankind, worship your Lord, who created you and those before you, that you may become righteous - ( 2:21 )
🔴 [He] who made for you the earth a bed [spread out] and the sky a ceiling and sent down from the sky, rain and brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you. So do not attribute to Allah equals while you know [that there is nothing similar to Him]. ( 2:22 )
🔵 And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down upon Our Servant [Muhammad], then produce a surah the like thereof and call upon your witnesses other than Allah, if you should be truthful. ( 2:23 )
🔴 But if you do not - and you will never be able to - then fear the Fire, whose fuel is men and stones, prepared for the disbelievers.( 2:24 )
🔵 And give good tidings to those who believe and do righteous deeds that they will have gardens [in Paradise] beneath which rivers flow. Whenever they are provided with a provision of fruit therefrom, they will say, "This is what we were provided with before." And it is given to them in likeness. And they will have therein purified spouses, and they will abide therein eternally. ( 2:25 )

Personally at the very least I would have also replaced all of the old electrolytic capacitors, because new ones today are smaller. Using ones with the same µF ratings is the most important part, and voltage CAN be slightly higher, as that's tolerable. It's the least you can do for old tech like this, I believe. You might also have to look into resistors and diodes as well depending on conditions, and that could lead you into searching for schematics to fill in the blanks, but it's a labor of care for the craft if you're dedicated to preserving the tech.
I guess that's just me, though.

I have an original Casio smartwatch from the 90s. If I give it to you can you fix it? I have memories of the watch.

For some odd reason in Japan the brand we call Panasonic is called National.

    • @netako

Panasonic (or Matsushita Electric when the company was founded in 1918) actually used different names for their products, when they started making home appliances in the mid-1920s in Japan, it was sold under the name “National”. The reason why the brand was called “National” is because the founder, Konosuke *Matsushita*, hoped that their products would sell well in Japan when they released their very first product, hence the name.
The “National” marque was also used in Asia, Europe and Australia, but they stopped using that brand in 1980 and 1988, respectively, replacing the name by either the name Panasonic or Technics in said markets, the latter was discontinued in 2010 before coming back by Panasonic 4 years later. The Asian market still used that name until 2004, when they decided to used the name “Panasonic” to unify their products.
Japan, on the other hand, never dropped the “National” name for their non-audiovisual products (the name Panasonic was already present here) due to its recognition until 2008.
In the US, the name “National” was never used since the name itself was already registed by others (even though they briefly used that name in 2004), and so they decided to create the brand “Panasonic”, which is a combination of “pan” (which means “all”) and “sonic” (which means sound, which makes sense since Panasonic's first products in the US was audio equipment).
