    Ive been looking for a good desktop tracker with auto sync with exchanges, is coinstats better than the alternatives?

    • @InvestinginLife
      @InvestinginLife  3 года назад +1

      I have been using it and it has been working good for me. I heard there being some limitations with the latest version that it's asking to buy pro if you add many wallets to your portfolio, but for me it works fine with several ones even on free version.
      Alternatively if you use binance smart chain, then yieldwatch would be a good option too. (made a video about that one too)
      If you find even better one, please do feel free to share. I'm also always looking for better solutions.

    Is it possible to transfer coin from one portfolio to another portfolio ?

    • @InvestinginLife
      @InvestinginLife  2 года назад

      Yes. You can either just normally send it if you have connected public address or API from exchange. Or if you have manually added balance then delete the original and add same for other portfolio.

    Hello, thanks for great tutorial. Can you please tell me how and where the alerts are being sent? by email? text message or inside the app?
    Also, on the pie chart I don't know how to look up all the coins that appear in "other" section. thank you much.

    • @InvestinginLife
      @InvestinginLife  3 года назад

      alerts are notifications from the app to your phone. I think coins on other section are so small portion that they don't show up in pie chart. You can still see them all on your normal portfolio view.

      I appreciate your reply. I do not see where I can put my phone number to receive the alerts. in Settings, there is only a box for email. However, I did not receive an email alert for the test alerts I set up.
      How do you get the alerts please? tks

      @@valco2090 I show in the video how to setup account on website but I'm personally using the app on my phone. You can download it for android/iOS and it should automatically show notifications when price movements happen.

    How many transactions and exchanges can you connect in the free version of coinstats as opposed to pro or premium ?

    • @InvestinginLife
      @InvestinginLife  3 года назад

      I have connected over 10 wallets and exchanges combined and never had any issues. I don't think there's a limit of how many you can connect. At least for average user. As I understood "advanced statistics" is what you will get by buying the premium version. If you manage to hit a limit, please let me know, just curious about this myself too.

      @@InvestinginLife i just stumbled across it today so will give it a shot. Can you also all the transactions from coinstats and import it to some tax software like cryptotrader.tax or cointracker.io for tax reporting in the US ?

      @@InvestinginLife i tried now and i cant add more than 1 wallet and 1 exchange as it prompts me for the pro or premium version ugh...how were u able to add 10 wallets and exchanges for free ?

    • @InvestinginLife
      @InvestinginLife  3 года назад

      @@jdoit400 That's a good question, I'll have to take a closer look at this and then maybe I'll make a follow up video about the taxes and how to automate calculation for them. maybe also few strategy how you can reduce your tax amount :)
      Anyhow, for now just checking on the app, seems like it's a pro feature to export portfolio, so it seems that free one doesn't have future to export stats. Although I have not used pro features. If you want to try them with the free trial period, here's a refer link coinstats.app.link/yXsyy5I8ydb
      If I find a better free solution, I'll include it in the future videos.

      @@jdoit400 hmmm, that's odd. I'm using the app on iPhone and I got 11 wallets connected combined. All works fine. Maybe android has some limitations? Which device are you using?

    How many exchanges can I connect

    • @InvestinginLife
      @InvestinginLife  3 года назад

      I got several ones on my account, but some said that new account can only connect up to 1 for free account. You can try the pro version free trial with the referral code (description) and decide yourself if it's worth it or not. For the record, I'm not paying for any of these.

    • @InvestinginLife

      CSV is a way to export the data manually from exchange. This will not update automatically so having API is the best option. Unless you have private wallet in which case you can just input public address. If it's not supported, then you can send request to have it added.

    Too bad it cant track your average cost base.

    • @InvestinginLife
      @InvestinginLife  3 года назад

      Actually you can with coinstats. It calculate your average buy and average sell amounts automatically. But it only works for exchanges. Open coin and look at the overview of your holdings. on top you can see all time average buy and sell.

      update: found a chrome extension that modifies your coinstats page to automatically calculate and display your cost basis (Statsplus for Coinstats)

    • @InvestinginLife
      @InvestinginLife  3 года назад

      @@vic_and_hugh that's great. Also to your other question, you can add public address to see stats on private wallets too. But I guess you already figured that out
