I’m sure that is quite a grade there, but it is the classic “the camera doesn’t capture it”. Great job. You’re doing it. Thanks for sharing!

Not bad. Many 60 yr olds can’t do that. Keep it up sir. Will like to see an update when you’re 80.

The BEAST! Love it, Joe! Great encouragement to find similar HIIT opportunities in the outdoor trail and neighborhoods walk I do daily. Great to know and be encouraged by the difference HIIT has made in your health and most importantly your bp which has been my nemesis as a fellow 60-year old

The 220 HR - your age seems high. Phil Maffetone recommends 180 - your age. He’s a high level trainer. But…I could be wrong. Keep it up Joe!

I'm 62 and retired, I run 20 miles a week and work in some interval training twice a week, I also cycle 50 miles a week at low intensity, I do a local 5K race or a duathlon nearly every weekend, usually finish mid pack and almost always top 3 in my age group, been doing this for nearly 20 years, it's a lifestyle choice that I love. Look for a local 5k and see how you measure up, but be careful, it's adictive.

Go get 'em Joe! Heck of a work out routine. Reminds me of running intervals (ladders) when I used to be a sprinter on the track team years ago. We would run varying short lengths; 20, 40, 60, 100 meters with multiple reps to build up endurance and speed.

I am impressed. It is hard to keep going when the heart rate gets up there and then do it again and then start over tomorrow. I can tell from your breathing and face your pushing hard.

Staying active is important. Good job. I was in the Marines for 30 years and they encourage fitness by requiring all hands to take a physical fitness test twice a year. It's changed in the 17 years since my retirement but it included a 3 mile run. As a 19 year old I discovered that I enjoyed the running portion and was good at it. I've been running for over 48 years now. Done it all. 1K, 3K, 5K, 10K, 15K, half marathons, numerous marathons and 11 ultras (50 miles). Some training runs were over 30 miles. Still running in retirement (age 67). I run 10K daily on a trail. Some days I run fast intervals (1 mile to 2 miles) and on others I just cruise. Been fully retired for almost 3 years. About to reach 5,000 since I began retirement. Also reaching 47,000 miles since I began recording my miles beginning 1 Jan 1987. Ran for 11 years prior but didn't keep track (pun intended).
