Really nice session. She does look great with that prop. Rubber power has a special charm, but it is so hard to get it to fly and to have the right conditions. At least we can enjoy watching the pros like you doing it!
You can't be talking about me Cal ... I'm only average 🤔 Unfortunately the indoor season is finished now until the Autumn but the wind is bound to drop eventually and when it does ... 🤔👍
@@CliffHarveyRCPlanes actually Cliff I have followed you for years and feel you are doing some of your best work yet👍. That triple-decker sure came out nice, didn't it😉
Salutations Cliff! Very nice model! I am surprised that you didn’t build it as an RC conversion, it seems like a very good candidate! Happy Flying! Thanks for sharing! Please have an excellent and awesome day! ☀️✨✈️
Morning Mike, that was my original intention, but the rc gear was going to be another week in the post and, as I do like freeflight rubber, the decision was made, have a great day, cheers. PS Watch out for the model after the Hawker Hunter is finished!
I would definitely back off on the rubber there Cliff, maybe two loops of 1/16th? Should be aiming for about 30 secs of powered flight, I would have thought
Its possible the CofG is not too far off but it stalled just through lack of forward speed. Nice model though, well done for having the courage to test glide 🙂
I wish the weather would start to play ball! 😐

Like you Andrew I watch the pro's and I don't look in the mirror! lol
Lovely model Cliff, looked very promising
I was being a little restrained Mark due to the lack of long grass, I should have taken the prop off really 👍
Very nice Cliff, will be nice to see the maiden, i am sure she will look great flying about. 👍🏻
She should look super against a blue sky with fluffy clouds 🙂
Beautiful build
Cheers Czexi 👍
Looking good Cliff.
Thanks Bob 👍
Such a lovely little model. Agree about the rubber...seems a bit fierce doesn't it
Changed it now Mike, I get about 20 second motor run so hopefully it'll be man enough to keep her airbourne, we'll see, cheers
I was going to say thinner longer motor but my knowledge on rubber is very limited...... Where did I put that postage stamp?
@@MarkCroucherRC4funYou're right Mark, that's exactly what I've done, we'll see 👍
Looking forward to seeing it flying, good for the maiden flight.
Snoopy would definitely approve. 😁
Yes indeed Eleanor 👍
Nice Triplane 👍
Thanks Martin 👍
The flying backwards made me laugh. Do it again Cliff. ❤
It made me laugh as well Nick, thing is if I made a Canard and flew it backwards you wouldn't notice any difference!👍
Thanks for your videos, Cliff! Do you also post on RCME under a different name?
Thanks, I use the forums, RCME and RC Groups very occasionally, when I need advice mostly, but YT is my main outlet, cheers 👍
I've always thought it a cruel irony that the best modelers in the world have to contend with some of the worst weather! Love your Tripehound 👍❤️

Cliff the Sopwith looks amazing, I'm sure the maiden flight with motor will be epic. Jeff in LA USA
Thanks Jeff fingers crossed, it should be entertaining at the very least 🙂👍
So many memories of me in Tassie (Tasmania) as a boy winding by finger the rubber powered models i had in the day. Great little bi plane Cliff👏👏👏
Time to get back to your roots 🤔👍
Salutations Cliff!

You might be right NB, I've replaced this motor with a smaller longer one so more gentle, I can always go smaller again 👍🤔
Actually that motor in that plane does bear a distinct resemblance to ripping silk...
It was a bit fierce wasn't it Chris 😁👍

I have checked Kevin and the CG is bang on so I'll give it some winds when the weather improves and hopefully we can have a bit of fun 👍
I ordered the Sopwith Triplane when I saw the build video. Haven't started it yet but this is an inspiration!
She's a fun model to build, have fun Banjo 👍🙂
Had the cat doing the heavy looking on
She's a good Observer Paul 🙂👍
LOL
