That wasn’t ugly crying, it was beautiful crying, full of honesty, happiness, pride (which we all felt) and pure joy! Absolutely brilliant footage captured by Janette. Another great duet video ladies, love it, can’t wait until you can do the duos again next year.
I love this - it made me laugh and reminds me of last year! There was so much I wanted to respond to, but I have forgotten because there was so much. So I’ll just say this - in the UK we say “blow your own trumpet” - horn also works. I think when Donnalouise said it might be a difference between British English and North American English, she may have been right 😂 xx
Yeah I bet it brings all the memories up 🥰 Hahahaha fair enough!! But noooo... I was hoping it was the British way 😂😂 I mean you did say horn can work as well. So I'll take that as a win 🤣
You two are great together. Such a wonderful friendship. Thank you for sharing info from your road trip. Loved seeing your part of the world. It's beautiful.
American here…saying Donnalouise should be “Toot”-ing her own horn for making it to the top of the mountain!!! Thank you for sharing all the fun you two have been having!
I don't see any flickering of the light. No worries. I love this video - the Q&A is so great a format. I encourage using it every once-in-a-while even on your own. It's fun. You can have both a convention and a world competition separately - this competition is already long and intense - you don't want to add a convention on top of that. But since World's is once a year, you could have a convention once a year at the 6-month point so puzzlers get together twice a year! And, maybe you could include the competition category B type puzzler here and then the super duper category A type at the Worlds? I don't know. Worth discussing further. You two were great together in this video - wonderful job!
That's great! Thanks for letting me know! 😁 I will try it out myself - I didn't really think people would be interested, but I might as well try, now that you've mentioned it! 😉 You do have a point about having the competition and convention separately, but we were just thinking if there is anything that could be added for people who don't get past preliminary round so they have something to enjoy - maybe just a booth or two where you can do at least something else. I would love to have a different category for more of a leisure puzzling - this definitely needs to be discussed further! 😊
The videos with you two were all amazing and super entertaining, would love to see more in the future, of course Donnalouise doesn't have to move to Slovenia for it though :D. Also saying just Laser is the best choice, everyone I communicate with online does that. Don't worry about the rest. ^^ Also I hope your train travels went well. As a German I know the fears and the horrors of attempting to use the train and arrive on time. Hopefully other countries do a better job.
I'm glad you enjoyed the videos!! 🤗 And yes, we're trying to figure out how to go live together, so just bare with us for now 😉 Hahaha ok thanks for letting us know! Laser it is! 😁👌🏻 The travel went well - she got home ok 😊
The Herring puzzles are made of brass. I managed to snag one of them, their latest stamp puzzle which now is on its way! Please do lives together even from a far, technology keeps us connected and I would love seeing you live throughout the year!
Thank you so much!! 😁👌🏻 I'm sure you'll enjoy it! It very different to other puzzles 😉 And yes, we will try to go live together! Need to figure it out 😁
I'm in the USA, a midwesterner (all the way from Michigan to Kansas) and we say either "blow your own horn" or "toot your own horn". Although, I must say that I really have not heard it that much in the past ten to twenty years. It's more of an older thing to say now.
I just competed in the ACT champs in Australia which was sponsored by Magnolia puzzles. The puzzle quality and images were amazing! (Garden Mosaic for pairs and Catryoshka for individuals). They produced 500 piece versions of the puzzles specifically for the competition.
This is brilliant!! 🤩 I have never done a Magnolia, but I have heard amazing things about it! I'm so glad that there are more and more competitions with different puzzle brands as well! 😁
This video feels like the female equivalent of a bromance between Janette and DonnaLouise. Very fun watching them together. Also fun to watch a little of their travel, as I am unfamiliar with how the scenery looks in those parts of Europe.
Hahahahaha omg yes, we totally have a bromance!! 😂😂 I'm glad you enjoyed it!! There should be more scenery coming in Donnalouises recap video of Slovenian competition 😊
Yes, I've noticed once it was pointed out! Good to know though, because I thought it would be way more obvious 😅 I used to film without the light or wait for he flickering to pass to film... now I know I don't have to do that anymore 😁👌🏻
I would only go to the States if I would get a sponsorship for it unfortunately - a bit too expensive otherwise 😅 I would love to go though! I'd love to go to any place with a puzzle competition!! 😍 We didn't end up going to the museum, because it seemed a bit small and not worth the 8€. So we just walked around the shop part of the museum 😂🙈
I don't think speed puzzling a Pintoo puzzle would be fun. They're one of my favorite brands, absolutely love everything about it but that super tight snappy fit would not be easy to work with when speed puzzling. Your poor fingers would be bloody by the end of it :D Might give it a go some day anyway just to see how it is.
Hahahah bloody fingers 🤣🤣 I do know what you mean though! They are an amazing brand with superb quality, but might not be the best option for speed puzzling. If you ever do speed run a PieceRelax Pintoo puzzle, please let me know how it goes! 😉 And good luck! We don't want any bloody fingers by the end of it 😂😅
How fast was your first time you've ever recorded and on which puzzle? I'm battling with myself because I'm very slow. I guess I just have to accept I'm not going to be a speed puzzler in this life
My first time ever was I think 1:27 on Penguins by Clementoni. You don't need to be fast - everyone does puzzles differently. That's why I keep repeating that we should not compare ourselves to others as it will only make us feel bad. You can still speed run a puzzle and improve your own times and try to learn how to be faster, if this is something that you'd enjoy doing 😉

I agree!! 🤩 And thank you so much!! I can't wait for next year again too!! 🤗🙌🏻

Best video! You two are so fun to listen to! Bringing 200 puzzles home...next year you guys need a truck! 😄
Thank you so much!! 🤗 I brought all the puzzles back for the Slovenian Championship! I don't think I'll be able to keep doing that every year 😂😅
You two are great together. Such a wonderful friendship. Thank you for sharing info from your road trip. Loved seeing your part of the world. It's beautiful.
Thank you so much! 🤗 And I'm glad you enjoyed it! 😉
😄Super fun! I enjoyed watching you 2 together, it's so fun. Puzzle convention...love the idea, that would be awesome as I don't speed run puzzles 😊
That's so nice to hear! 🤗 I think so too!! Maybe one day 😉
It seems like the competition has outgrown the dome. I wonder if they will change locations for next year or if it's already set?
American here…saying Donnalouise should be “Toot”-ing her own horn for making it to the top of the mountain!!! Thank you for sharing all the fun you two have been having!
Hahahahaha LOVE IT!!! 😂😂 And yes! She totally should!! 😁👏🏻 I'm glad you enjoyed the video! 🤗
I think you’re right about the British vs. American English. You two are so much fun together, I’m so glad you shared so much of your trip with us!❤️
That does make sense to be fair! 😅 I'm glad you enjoyed it!! 🤗

Puzzle convention would be amazing!
I couldn't agree more! 🤩🙌🏻

❤ thanks for sharing your insider info with all of us around the world 😊
My pleasure! 🤗

Hahaha yes!!! Ok so I haven't completely made it up 😂😂 Yeah it's not very common anymore, I don't think 😅
I just competed in the ACT champs in Australia which was sponsored by Magnolia puzzles. The puzzle quality and images were amazing! (Garden Mosaic for pairs and Catryoshka for individuals). They produced 500 piece versions of the puzzles specifically for the competition.

Playing with the dog was funny. I have husky, plays just like that. The video and all the road trip pictures were fun to watch
Oh yeah they love to play!! 🤩🤩 I'm glad you enjoyed it! 🤗
you two make a good team keep up the live streams
Thank you!! 😁 We will do our best! 😉

you two make me laugh
I'm glad to hear that! 😁
‘Blow your own trumpet’ or ‘toot your own horn’.
Yup... that's what Google said too 😭
You can only see the flickering light is you stare at the upper cubby on the right hand side😅
Yes, I've noticed once it was pointed out! Good to know though, because I thought it would be way more obvious 😅 I used to film without the light or wait for he flickering to pass to film... now I know I don't have to do that anymore 😁👌🏻
Donnalouise has to move to Slovenia for the summer and Janette has to move to New Zealand for the winter (which is summer in the south hemisphere).
The US World Championships has the items Donna Louise is after. Would you both travel to the US event? How was the Ravensberger museum?
I would only go to the States if I would get a sponsorship for it unfortunately - a bit too expensive otherwise 😅 I would love to go though! I'd love to go to any place with a puzzle competition!! 😍 We didn't end up going to the museum, because it seemed a bit small and not worth the 8€. To answer your question
..
YES (DL to Slovenia)
And to answer the question at the end, TOOT your own horn (from Washington state USA)
Hahahahah YEEEES!! 😂👌🏻 And NOOO hahahaha I was hoping to be right 🤣🤣
