In this clip of the 6th James Bond Movie "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" (1969), we see James Bond (George Lazenby) on the beach during the opening sequence, making a nod to his predecessor.
Lazenby had the almost impossible task of replacing the iconic Sean Connery. Unfortunately, history granted us with only one Lazenby Bond movie. But Lazenby had it all; he was tall, handsome, in very good physical condition and he turned out to be a very decent actor despite his limited acting experience.
Lazenby was and still is (after 53 years) the youngest James Bond ever to appear in a Bond movie (at age 30). OHMSS was an exciting and sometimes quirky rollercoaster ride. Lazenby was the star of the movie but had to face monumental screen competition from movie legends such as Diana Rigg and Telly Savalas. Lazenby managed to hold his own and deliver a memorable performance in this unique Bond movie. Cheers!
