    Nice sound track choices, the rain drop actually adding to it.

    Nice video. We celebrated new year 2024 on the Buckwong Hut camp site which is the exact place you camped on. Yes, the actual hut is on the opposite side, just fifty meters away.

      Happy New Year. Cracking spot that one. We were cruising the high country from the 2nd Jan too..! Will make sure I find the real hut next time😅

    As always another stellar video Dan and epic levels of jealousy watching this one. I really loved the music you’ve been choosing for this series of videos. As with all your content there is real sense on contemplation, which the music really suits. Love it as always. Matt

    Thanks for the video Dan. You need some wipers for that camera. I must get back into the high country but I think I will wait for the warmer and dryer months! That certainly is a luxurious hut. I bet it would be popular if not for the terrible weather. You must have been the only vehicles up there. Looking forward to the next episode.

      Hi Michael, The moisture got into the GoProo case and it was hard to shake! Learning I guess 😬 I think Spring-Xmas it's most busy, but the weather is certainly a selling point. I think summer is do-able but need to be alert for fire risks. April- May definitely the most quiet...but also bloody cold! We didn't see another vehicle on this day of the trip. Thanks for watching - I appreciate your encouragement. Cheers.😊

      Hi Ryan! Thanks heaps for watching mate. Glad you found the channel. I like to think of the VIC high country as 'Mother Nature's Playground' 😊 Hope you can start planning toward a trip one day - have you got the vehicle for it? Welcome aboard.

    Great Video! Thanks for sharing.
    Around 21:05 you reversed back and asked what to do.
    In a situation like that the safest place is in the ruts. It will keep you on the track while you slide down! Sometimes even the driver is a passenger!

    • @OTWD
      @OTWD  11 месяцев назад

      Well said Chris. I was looking at one particular section below where I knew I'd have clearance issues in the ruts (and I did 'knock the top off'' with the diff) but it was way softer than I anticipated so I should have just started in the ruts. The wheels weren't turning much down that hill - more like skiing down!. Thanks for the encouragement, glad you enjoyed it😬

    Great edit of the trip mate. We covered a lot of ground this day, a lot of it in the rain! Definitely a memorable trip this one, and that meal at the end of the day was outstanding!

    You have to make a stay at Moscow villa if you want to rival wheelers creek hut for luxury. Lovicks but is also another reasonable one to stay at. Good for bigger groups.
    Another nice vid mate. Drove some good tracks there! 👌

      Heya Dean. I'll add Moscow villa to the list!😁 Heard about Lovicks too - looks spacious. Appreciate you watching mate. Thanks for encouragement. PS. I can now talk with your brother IRL about this sort of thing too!

    Had me nervous when you were coming down the red clay track and Jason was taking the camera shots. I was worried you weren’t going to be able to stop and slide in to the back of the Pajero. Otherwise good video once again.

    Beautiful areas, great video.
    the weather could’ve been better for you guys. Also no views ☹️, you need to get back there in nicer weather.
    Regarding moisture in your swag keep the windows slightly open @ night, if that doesn’t work I’d be sending it back and ask for a refund. Heaps of people having the same problem , and if you don’t dry it out, you’ll end up with mould. Thank you, Dan

    • @OTWD
      @OTWD  11 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks Luca, that's sound advice. I religiously dry out the swag after every trip. Not rolling a swag is just so good! But you are right, especially in cold weather - it's a poor design. Will go back to those spots for sure and hopefully top of Gibbo in particular will be a bit easier to manage. Looking forward to hanging out in October! Cheers😬
