At this point I am convinced Lily is just immune to Talasophobia. Dredge is amazing, would love to see more of it. You seemed to had the right idea at the end there already but I just wanted to stress how important the engines are. More speed means being faster (duh) but more importantly you get to farther places within less time and it saves you from the panic in the night quicker. Also since you eventually will probably explore the whole map, going places within reasonable time makes the quite more enjoyable
I admit that I was surprised when you decided to become an all-fish channel, but the results have been pretty entertaining so far, so I'm definitely not complaining! 😀
Both music and the descriptive storytelling are top notch in this game. Definately one of the surprise gems of 2023 for me. Can‘t wait for your playthrough, as you usually pay attention to every detail - in my opinion a necessary trait to get max enjoyment out of this game! Good luck sailor, don‘t dredge too deep! ;)

Loved the first episode, the game vibe and your commentary, gameplay.. Subbed. my tips the game didn't tell you, basic things without spoilers: - you got not only *lights* and *crab pots* but *telescope* and *foghorn* too! Try them. - whenever you dock at any location always empty your deck, store things for later if there is access to your shared storage. - your storage is shared, you can use it for fishing too! Yes it isn't a freezer, the fish will slowly go bad in it, but not faster than on your deck: from the beginning you can fill your boat with fishes heading to another dock with storage access (like Little Marrow or Blackstone Isle), put all the fishes into the storage, then without full long sleep (quick nap is ok) head back to the location with fishmonger/fish market (like Greater Marrow) catching fishes all the way back, then sell all, which is 2x. - yellow marker for trophy catch: do NOT hit greens, if you finish before you get to the yellow marker you won't get the trophy fish. - time: it's true when not moving gametime doesn't progress, but it's not paused either! You can be attacked by birds... and *other things* - fishing speed example: if you catch 4 fishes from a school/spot and another 3 from another next to it, the gametime might progress 30 minutes or 5 hours, depending your fishing speed. So it doesn't affect the minigame speed, nor your dretching speed, only how fast the day goes by. - Sanity: panic (eye) bring you all kind of madness, even an hour or two nap/sleep will replenish your sanity, before continuing. So it isn't the night that is dangerous, but panic, anytime. Night's fog slightly increase your panic slowly over time, slower with better lights. *Things* can increase it too. Buoys & Light tower's light reduce it slightly, as well as daylight, over time. - Learn the *things* 's weaknesses, experiement. Some scared of foghorn some attracted to it. Some detects movement only, but some get you if you aren't fast enough. Some fears your lights or revealed by it, some attracted to it unless turned off, etc. etc. etc. - The game rewards you exploring an island, area before heading to new one. -Crab pots: try to research the longer lasting crab pots (1 research to have the 5 day lasting Hardy Crab pot, 2 more research for the 7 days sturdier ones, less macro management repairing them), you did well putting it near fish selling spot, Avoid putting them close to a rock/land, best close but not too close to each other. Empty them every time you return to sleep, repair, and to sell, before actually passing time with installing/sleeping. Their repair cost is the same if you empty them regularly or not, if they catch 1 crab or 20. Of course the starter area has the cheapest fishes and crabs (advantage of them there is no shallow/coastal/volcanic/mangrove/etc. types, they work everywhere) You can see if there are crabs in them without looking into them: the water splashes around them and their light flashes. Also as long as they are functional their light is working. If it's dark then the pot needs repair, but even then the water still splashes if there is crab in it. - stronger engines have awful shapes to fill available spaces, except the neat 1 square jet engine.
I have been a giant cheerleader for the game dredge and have been retweeting any positive feedback and telling everyone to play and adore seeing your playthrough. I platinumed it and im so looking forward to the new stuff coming later this year. So glad they are going to add more to the game.
I'm just realising, there's this element of stortelling to your let's plays that really enhances my enjoyment of games like these. Like I tried playing this one on my own but I didn't enjo it as much, but with you it's way more fun!
If you have any panic (eye showing of any color) but still want to fish at night, you can sleep for just 1 hour which will clear your panic and make night fishing a tiny bit safer
This is one of the coolest games to come out this year. Absolutely love it! Remember to look for the lighthouse when you're lost in the night. You can see it from pretty much everywhere.

dredge!! this game is SO good. There are a few quests that are -_- but they're not vital to the storyline so it's whatever. the game is awesome, very much bridging the gap between your average game experience and sunless sea (this definitely vibes like a Lite:tm: version of Sunless Sea, i'd recommend trying that out if you really liked this) The music is SOOO GOOD in dredge... the sound effects.... it's just a really well made game. And surprisingly relaxing
I would love to see more of this even though i will probably be playing it myself later this year. This feels like it will be fondly remembered by many people, just like The Outer Wilds.

Based on my experience, to impersonate a commercial fisherman, you would need to wear a beanie and chainsomking for the duration of the video. Ideally, there would always be a cigarette in your mouth, especially when talking.
