Hey Floydson! Super excited to see more of your content. My brother introduced me to you, and let me just say, it was epic 😂 I would like to recommend an Outer Wilds play through. It’s a little different than some games you’ve played but it does have a day function so I dunno but I think you’d like it! It has sufficient funkiness and I think both you and viewers would have a great time of it.
Just in case anyone's coming after, the Hooded figures give out books with some nice bonuses if you give them the three fish they want. Also, given how our good host couldn't do it, since they do ask for increasingly rare fish, the 5 figures have been made immortal so the player can complete their quests at their own pace, rather than having to rush(Or losing out because you activated them too early to get all 3 in the first place).
I super appreciate you explaining mechanics in your videos when they come up. Like at 3:15 when you questioned what the eyeball meant, and then your voiceover cut in explaining it clearly. It's super helpful and makes it easier to follow things. Maybe less immersive in terms of going on the same journey as you, but I'm fine with that. If I wanted to experience the game myself I'd be playing it myself after all!
@@Schnellleser The well-dressed bloke is actually the fisherman the player plays as. He was talking to his reflection the entire time. The fisherman takes the book away (from himself) and in a moment of lucidity visits the lighthouse keeper who points him where to throw the book away. He does. Doesn't get his lost wife back, but also doesn't revive Chthulu. Instead gets eaten by that very big monster that swam by Floydson earlier.
The collector IS the guy you're playing. Everytime you talk/interact with him you always do it from a mirror. The door where he stands and talks with you is not a door, it's a mirror. In some of the play throughs with specific dialogue choices you can make him break that mirror thus revealing his character.
Funfact: You can dump every single NPC that boards your boat into water. It doesn't give you anything, but the NPCs acknowledge it if you tell them that their friend "Went over board", so it's kinda cool to know that the devs considered that you may be a horrible human being .3.
So funny thing you only uncovered half of the actual plot, for anyone actually curios spoilers down below. Before that tho this was probably one of the sleeper hits this year for me, I love eldritch themes in games and mixing them together created a really chill yet frightening experience I really enjoyed. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for something weirdly cozy but scary at the same time heh. So if you keep exploring the Tangle you can actually find the Mayor of Little Marrow who has completely lost his mind, if you talk to him he'll constantly mention throwing the book in red and silver back what obviously is the book the collector holds. Once you found the mayor you can talk to the Lighthouse Keeper and that allows you to confront the Collector himself and this is were the big twist happens. Turns out the collector is actually an alternate persona of our player character the Fisherman and all the messages in bottles we've been finding actually tell the story of what happened prior of how we lost our wive due to our obsession with the book. You then take the book for yourself and can talk to the lighthouse keeper to throw it back into the ocean giving you the second, and good ending of the game. At least until the content expansion comes out that they've shown on their Roadmap heh.
If you notice, the collector doesn’t take up slots in your inventory. Leading you to believe that he was on board all along. *You* play as the collector. If you look closely, the two characters even look somewhat similar.
I must say, Floydson has revived that excitement you get when someone you enjoy uploads. I've lost that on youtube years ago. Thanks Floydson for your amazing work!
Glad you realized early how useful the small jet engines are! Better to have many tiny engines than one honker that breaks in one hit. I remember having banged my ship up in such a way that my two outboard engines where disabled, and let me tell ya, trying to run away at night with no engines is terrifying! I kept spamming S.O.S on the horn, hoping it might summon some help while limping as fast as I could to the Traveling Merchant!
One of my favourite things about your videos is how they get me to either go back, or get through, games I'm playing where I'm frustrated at the lack of transparency of mechanics. For example, Graveyard Keeper intrigued me, but I really struggled with the steep learning curve. So I get an entertaining video, but I also get a new urge to explore those games again. It's a bit like how amazing travel videos make you want to travel, and cooking shows make you want to try new things with food. You're that, for me, with gaming. It's amazing, and I thank you for it.
Tbh Graveyard Keeper is not for everybody, it's very grindy and you usually end up looking up how to make stuff since there's so many recipes. I liked it a lot tho, spent a good 100 hours into it.
Floydson's basically perfected the "100 days" format. No clickbait bs either. I don't know who came up with the concept but I wouldn't be surprised if it was this fine bloke.
@@Blend3rmanThe original 100 days (or at least as far as I know) was a Minecraft 100 days by LukeTheNotable (now a 4000 day series). He even tried copyrighting the idea but then realized how selfish/stupid that is and apologized. He makes some pretty good stuff
I finished the game in exactly 100 days, and knowing that was possible made me so excited that you would eventually find and play it. So excited that that day has come!
I liked Dredge, 100%-ed it too. I was definitely hoping for it to lean more on the eldritch unknowable horrors than it did, but it is ultimately a fishing game at heart. Plenty of fun, though.
The mood of this game is great! They chose such an appropriate art style, the frantic eyeball and fake rocks are a nice touch, and the fishing & inventory minigames seem like nice variety! I've been having a great time slowly working through your videos, thanks for the calm & humorous vibes :D
You are the collector. There are multiple endings to this game. Always talking to the NPC, especially the lighthouse keeper could change the direction to this game. It's a very simple game with a very interesting story.
First video of yours I've watched. Surprised I didn't skip at all. Clearly, you have a gift for storytelling and you've earned yourself another subscriber :) keep up the good work!
Another great watch! I dont know why but your videos always makes me love the games. I've been seeing dredge from other channels but yours where the only one I've watched fully. Please don't stop creating these wonderful vids!

Potentially 200 Days of Dredge? Or even an updated version if this wasn't played on 1.2.0, which actually adds a few things and on top of that theres a DLC to get if it wasn't already gotten for this.
I normally don't comment randomly especially on video that's been out months ago but I really like how you take the journey in a really compact and fast pace video. Going with full gameplay is a good, but a full packed essential like this is not like any other experience. I want to say thank you for the video, this must took a lot of time to edit especially adding the commentary and cropping the video here and there. Good job! New subs
You are the collector, in the other ending, you try to punch the collector, but you hit a mirror, you go to the light house lady and tell her you got the book, but she said YOU'VE had the book the whole time.....
the collector is you. you are the man from the bottle notes and yes it was your wife you brought back. you also unleashed the deep ones which was the face you see at the end. there is one other ending that saved the world instead of destroy it.

Yes thank you. You dont even know how happy you made my day!!!!! I was waiting for your Dregde 100 days. Time to watch. I hope you wont finish it so we may get 200 days xD
