    It was a good video. I enjoyed What is the best temperature for the hot air on the right side?
    In one case while working with hot air, I mistakenly poured cleaning fluid instead of flex and burned the IC. It was a stupid mistake.

    • @ecurepair
      @ecurepair  4 месяца назад +3

      I usually run them both close to max temp and airspeed for these units. The case on these ecu's soak up a lot of the heat thats why 2 is needed. Its much faster then using preheater to bring it up to temp and I like to avoid heating up the entire unit because of the bga.

    Great work! Great Video. I tried to replace these since alternators blow them all the time. But I have a hard time heating them. l'll use two heat guns next time. I got some of these Freescale MC33888 chips but I think they were imitations from China. And they seemed to not work good. I get them from other used PCMS from the junkyard.

    Excellent work. A question, is there any equipment that can completely clone that PCM model? That is not so expensive? Do the complete reading of the micro and the writing by OBD or by JTAG?

    • @ecurepair
      @ecurepair  4 месяца назад +2

      The tools I use are pretty expensive so not sure I could give any meaning full advice on the lower cost ones. ngc5 is listed in Kess3 for jtag and some models for obd2, never tried it though. Might could do it with original xprog. it does ngc3 & 4. 5 is probably same as 4 but again, I havent tried it. Never had the need to clone these. Have always just reflashed them with legacy chrysler tool.

    Interesting!! What is the Microchip MCU, or is the Microchip chip a CAN transceiver?

    • @ecurepair
      @ecurepair  4 месяца назад +2

      Its a driver ic but the low side drivers are controlled through spi so they can shut down main chip if not right.

    My starter does not start and the C38 pin that goes to the starter relay is supplying negative energy instead of positive energy. Can you help me with repair instructions, I reward you for your help.

    • @ecurepair
      @ecurepair  29 дней назад +1

      C38 is suppose to provide the low signal to activate relay. It gets high signal from tipm control.
