No. These engines are 4 cycle engines and do not require mixed fuel. The correct amount of engine oil must be added to the crank case and changed regularly as in a car engine.
joel arseneault I gave you a thumbs up for the effort. I'm terrible with motors so any help is better than none. Ive heard all kinds on the net, I bet you wouldn't be the worst. Thanks for the vid.
I have the 160 also, I don’t think mine uses oil because it did not come with any after starting it up and running it at wide open throttle for 30 seconds or less it just shut down and now I can’t pull the starter rope 🤷♂️ do you think my air filter is bad already ?? I would not recommend this engine🖕🖕
I hope you are not serious. Yes, all Honda utility engines are 4 cycle engines and all utility engines produced in the past 20 are 4 cycle engines and use engine oil. The box that it comes in, the owners manual and usually a pamphlet with the engine all indicate that the engine does not come with oil and must be added. If you ran the engine without oil and it stuck, chances are, you have ruined your engine. If you are really lucky, you could add oil, free it up by turning the crank shaft and perhaps the engine will run again. If it does run, it will likely have reduced performance and a shorter life because of the damage. These are great engines. I would not recommend using any engine to anyone who isn't willing to take the time to make sure they understand how to use an engine properly and safely.
Honda gx best engine ever made, no country can beat japan in making small engine, i have few of this engines
I just love that 1 cylinder idle sound
Honda small engines have probably the best idle sound and quality, most other brands sound too high
@@monkeydude3987 the old Briggs Stratton engine have great idles they idle very low rpm
Genuine Honda sounds much better than the clone.
Awsome engine ! I have buy a gx35 for a mini cart and it work Well great vid

Never run an engine on concrete, it will crack the aluminium block.
No problem, just curious what are you going to put the engine on? I have a gx 200 on my generator and it is an amazing engine.
sorry to hear your generator got stolen, are you going to get a new one?
Thanks for showing
battery?
No battery needed or used on this model. Only for the electric start models.
No, no battery.

Are these the industrial version of the gcv160?
Sure does! What are your thoughts on the light commercial gs(or gsv)?
GVCs run better if you push them off the highest roof within 20 miles of your home.
What is the differance betwen GP and GX ? Which is better for a tiller ? Thanks and sorry for my bad english
You don't show the switches or explain anything
What is the fuel consumption in 1 hour in about half acceleration?
Thanks a lot...i was planning to use it in my boat.
@@JoelArseneaultRUclips thank u 4 ur concerns, it is a river n it is quiet.
Which are the max and the low rpm's?
Max RPM is 3600. I'm not sure about idle speed. Fast enough so it idles smoothly and does not shut off.
Do you mix gas with oil?
No. These engines are 4 cycle engines and do not require mixed fuel.

Speak. Tell us what you are doing as you do it. Also, show the gas on/off valve.
