Waiting for a Mike F Inside story.
On my 2023 M3LR there were 2 red wires in that bundle, the correct wire is the slightly thicker red one in case anyone has a similar experience. Thanks for posting this vid, extremely helpful

I have a 2021 MP3 and a Uniden r7 all I did was suction cup the radar detector to the back window that is limo tinted and ran a wire to the cigarette outlet (all tucked into the paneling nice and neat of course). Yes it's backwards but you can see it in the rear view mirror and it works perfectly been doing it for years even in other cars I've owned. Radar bounces off of everything. Also when you park in the bad part of town you don't have to worry about taking it down with the limo tint it can't be seen from outside when the power is off.

This couldn’t of come at a better time, I have the exact same car with the exact same radar detector. The blend mount and harness have been sitting in my trunk for weeks because of the fear for not being able to find a switched 12v. Mike makes it look easy and I will try to attack it this weekend!

The R7 is legit. It’s … relatively … inexpensive, very reliable and accurate. The range is nuts as well. Nice big screen. No, it doesn’t have Bluetooth, but so what. Unfortunately, I have no clue how to install stuff like this but paying a pro is np considering what you get.

Hey Matt, when I started watching this video I thought Mike was still there after the big garage project or possibly this was shot before you guys started that project, come to find out he’s part of OG Best news I’ve heard all week glad you’re able to work with your friend have a good one as always.
I have R7 in both my cars. Both are on blend mounts and wired with mirror taps. Super easy to install.

I've never been a Dash Cam guy. I don't want to know what happens when I'm not there.
Sean, my personal preference is the NextBase 622GW. It’s a little more expensive than typical but it’s so nice. 4k video front, 1080p rear, slow motion, enhanced night vision, GPS, Bluetooth, the works. Note: more than a few have complained about this camera freezing at random. I have 3 of them in 3 different vehicles and none of them have ever frozen. Granted, I’ve only had them for just over a year.

I just purchased the R7 after finally retiring my old Escort RedLine 0100025-1.
I'm hoping I don't regret this decision. 😬 I'm yet to get in installed as I'm waiting on my blendmount, but I will say, the R7 feels cheap to the touch tho, compared to my Escort.

What size was the bolt that was used to fit that factory ground fitting?
Easy Mike just wire it to the airbag in the seat so when Matty get in the car or get out it’s activated😂🤔
Make sure your car is not plugged in and charging, because you will not get the 12v reading while the car is plugged in.
Great video as always. I just started an install for my detector on my 2022 M3P and I'm having trouble finding the right wire - but may just be my clamp meter isn't reading properly. Have you had any issues after the installation with any error/sensor issues? Or any thoughts it might void the warranty?
First off, there is no such thing a voiding a warranty. On low voltage stuff like this, I just keep putting it into a spot until I find one that works. You want to find on of similar fuse size.

@@malaeum I ended up just finding something in my big jar of random bolts. It's always good to have one of those. Try ordering a variety pack of large bolts.

Are there any options for radar or laserjammers in Germany? I’m looking for years but it seems like they are just for the US. I know we can legally speed as fast as we like on parts of the autobahn , but the real fun is on curvy mountain roads.
Any idea if this fits on a 2021 Model S Plaid? I heard the mounting area was the same on the refreshed MS, as the 3 & Y

I heard there is a 12v cable where the front dome light is...where the hazard is...can I use that 12v? I also heard that location will always be on and I am afraid that will drain the battery with the car.

Met him via email. He was following me on RUclips, bought some stuff, and sent me an email. He now relocated to FL and works for OG full time. I hired his son Trevor too.
