Before I discovered Eddsworld, I felt that my artistic ability was nothing and pointless. But the day I clicked on that one video, he lighted my torch with his. His video showed me that art is something you can use to bring by joy and happiness to someone. Thanks to Edd I was able to draw with passion. His inspiration helped me to find my friend and even, my best friend. Without Edd, I probably would have been that one kid that no one knows or care about. He gave me a dream, to be someone like him who can give happiness and inspiration to others. Just like him too.

Honestly, I started liking and being introduced to Eddsworld since I came across it in 2012 or 2016 and never knew he passed away until noticing it soon after even from one of the destituted video of his passing but Honestly, I loved his animations and loved his videos specially Tom and Matt's videos. I still miss Edd sometimes and Honestly have cried many times missing him, I looked up to Edd Gould because he was someone I loved watching and got so inspired by him, and if he was still here I'd love to get to see him and know him better one day. He made me feel like I was able to get so much inspiration with my own art and feel confident with my life to move on when times were tough, I also felt I relate to Edd Gould since I also have been bullied even throughout my life, so I felt bad he had to go through that too. I remember when I did a presentation of Eddsworld and Edd Gould at school when I was fourteen. I’m still proud of it. Edd created a wonderful world for animation. I love animation. It’s like a key to tell wonderful stories to other people who enjoy it. I want to create animated (and musical) projects (such as short films, a series and movies) on RUclips. Edd is my biggest inspiration. His love for animation, his character designs, amazing humor, and this amazing series he put so much effort in… Happy birthday Edd. 💚 Happy Birthday Edd! 💚 I owe a lot of my creative aspirations to Edd and the world he's created. Eddsworld was the first webshow I ever watched and I still have warm memories watching them with my brother. I have a heartwarming story to share this day. I studied animation at what was named Richmond upon Thames College, the same place Edd studied at. I even sat at the desk he usually occupated for a taster session. The college were really proud of Edd that they did in fact hang up his work so he'll never be forgotten. What's sweet about this is that the old RUTC building got vacated and moved to a new campus. So when the media department got to their new building, the animation course hung up Edd's work in the room for animation students. Where to my knowledge, it still remains there to this day, looking over all the new students of animation. That's pretty swell.
I will forever thank Edd for the impact he gave to my life, despite the fact he'll never know. He's forever my biggest inspiration, I love how determined he was to keep working on his passion and it's so admirable to see how he was so set on art. Eddsworld has been such a huge deal in my life ever since I was a kid- and it inspired me too keep creating no matter what obstacles I faced throughout my life. I've been having a rough time these past 2 years, but whenever I'm at my lowest I would always go back and rewatch the old Eddisodes or read through the silly comics they made- even though he's not around anymore his creations and what he was able too accomplish continue to inspire me and many other artists- and I don't think anything else has ever made me feel this way before. I thank the Eddsworld team, their families, and many others who once worked on the show for all they've given the community as a whole, and I hope that no matter how many years go by his world will keep on spinning, and that people will continue to create and celebrate in honor of his legacy. Even when I didn't know what Eddsworld was back then, I found his videos one way or another. At 6 years old, I was occasionally watching "The Sandwich Song" and loving the hell out of "Just a Bit Crazy" whether it was the original or any remakes someone did with other characters. When I *truly* found out about Edd's work, I was in middle school and also got bullied. I loved drawing and making up characters (still do) and had the idea I wanted to be an animator and make my own series for TV. I didn't really know at that time you could do that but for the internet (even though I watched BFDI as a kid so idek) so it was really inspiring to me to see he made something for the internet that everyone loved. I really loved watching eddisodes before and after school and seeing everyone's stupid, silly, or amazing fan creations but it made me pretty sad I missed out on eddisodes coming out (it was 2018 at that point so 2 years too late to even see it wrap up). I was happy when I found out in 2020 that the show was coming back and loved checking in on new content when times were tough and was happy to see the fandom flourishing once again. I may not be as obsessed with the show as I was when I was 12, but the show and it's lost media (along with his other stuff like his student films and some random drawings he'd made) still holds a special place in my heart. Fun Fact: Edd Gould, the legendary animator whose world will always keep spinning, was born on the 28th of October, which is also known as the International Animation Day! Edd just happened to pick the perfect day to be born on! (Before you scream at me, I wrote this comment BEFORE I watched the video...) But honestly though, Edd is more than the creator of Eddsworld. He is someone who wasn't afraid of anything, not even death. He always saw acute lymphoblastic leukaemia as an inconvenience. He didn't give up, even when he was pushed down to his lowest. In fact, we aren't very different. I am a lot like him. I'm also bullied by my peers and my source of escapism is art. Knowing all of that literally keeps me going. If it wasn't for Edd, I would've hung myself by now, and I'm sure that there are others out there who would've ended themselves if it wasn't for the work of the living legend himself. Edd was a legend, a lifesaver, and now a guardian angel, and those like him will always live on through the hearts of others. He will always be there to protect us, and I will one day live to be just like the one who changed my life, or to die trying... Fun Fact: Edd Gould, the legendary animator whose world will always keep spinning, was born on the 28th of October, which is also known as the International Animation Day! Edd just happened to pick the perfect day to be born on!
(Before you scream at me, I wrote this comment BEFORE I watched the video...)
But honestly though, Edd is more than the creator of Eddsworld. He is someone who wasn't afraid of anything, not even death. He always saw acute lymphoblastic leukaemia as an inconvenience. He didn't give up, even when he was pushed down to his lowest. In fact, we aren't very different. I am a lot like him. I'm also bullied by my peers and my source of escapism is art. Knowing all of that literally keeps me going. If it wasn't for Edd, I would've hung myself by now, and I'm sure that there are others out there who would've ended themselves if it wasn't for the work of the living legend himself. Edd was a legend, a lifesaver, and now a guardian angel, and those like him will always live on through the hearts of others. He will always be there to protect us, and I will one day live to be just like the one who changed my life, or to die trying...
And, finally, as Thomas "TomSka" James Ridgewell once said, "Edd may be gone, but his world will keep on spinning..."
