As a grandfather, my grandkids forced me to go on this. I was loving every other coaster, with Skyrush and Stormrunner my favorites. I almost drew the line because of the backwards part of this ride. So I went on, and the whole time was screaming my butt off. But now I can say that at my age I conquered all the coasters there.

It's a really fun coaster but it literally broke down 3 times in one day when I was there.
This ride gives me the most killer headache. Never going on it again

The new restraints make your avoid it. Now you only feel the forces.
Pros: best boomerang in existence, smooth, good restraints, scary (specifically when you are being pulled up backwards and you don't know when it will drop).
Cons: can break down, bad lines, slow dispatch. (From my experience, it took a long time to dispatch.)
No matter how many of these there are, it's still one of the best roller coaster designs. To fit 6 inversions (3 forward and 3 backward) into such a short ride with such a small footprint is still amazing to me. I love the excitement of not knowing when you're going to drop (although you can kind of time it after the puff of air you hear of the breaks releasing in the station), and I love going through the cobra roll backwards. It's just such a great ride.

This ride broke down 4 times today and I still got on it.
All the people saying it breaks down too much, I went and rode it so many times. I guess it can be different but would definitely try it. Lets just say you would most likely enjoy it more as a child because you would have the less likely chance of getting a headache.
I rode it yesterday, I was in the 2nd car from the front, right side. Was not in any pain at any point. So it was pretty smooth for me. Got a little dizzy (likely due to the cobra roll) but not bad. Rode it 2 times and had fun, no complaints here. I liked how the restraints made it feel like you were sliding forward since they're padded & flexible.
Aside from it breaking down a lot I don't know what everyone is complaining about. This is my favorite ride at Hersheypark.
This ride was the same one as Boomerang from Knotts Berry Farm except the colors.

Even though it is just a normal boomerang coaster it is I’m my opinion one of the better ones out there because of the new restraints

Amiraa Naser They use a go pro and attach it to their heads with a stretchy rubber band.
Astandra RBLX I own a gopro and trust me they dont they either use chest strap wrist strap or mount it on the train. The head strap will fall off trust me
Before GoPro straps, some parks would actually duct tape the camera to your hand so you didn't drop it.

I was on it today and I loved it I have a season pass and don’t live far from the park
Went there a long time ago and I was young. Right at the minimum hight and I was scared shit less of this ride. When it backed up I put my feet forward cause it felt like I was gonna fall out of the coaster and then it felt like it paused when it went all the way back and then let go. I can still remember to this day how scared that ride made me. I wish I could go back someday and ride it again cause now I'm not scared of roller coasters anymore.

I love building those boomerang roller coasters in "Roller Coaster Tycoon" they are so simple to do.
the latest renovations have made this thing run smoother than ever. it used to be a coaster i'd never ride to now being a good one at the park. Not a great one just a good one. but it's significantly smoother now with the new trains and whatever else they did to it.
The things that hold you into the cart I forget the name, it kept getting tighter and tighter that it hurt to breathe once. And that was my first time on it

The exact same thing is at Darien lake in western New York and I think a six flags park in Texas. The one at DL gives me a stomach ache and I get a bad headache from it too
This is the only Coaster I didn't get to ride this weekend because it was under maintenance other than that I've rode them all!

Those are the same Boomerangs that all other parks have. A Boomerang is a Boomerang. They're all made by Vekoma.

Oops! It IS there after all! So sorry, but I don't know how to delete my incorrect comment. We didn't actually see it yet, but the Sidewinder is indeed in the Pioneer Frontier section of Hershey Park per the map. Luckily we're going back tomorrow to ride more coasters!
I grayed out on the loops and nearly blacked out on the backwards ones lol. Still love to ride it tho.

Ok, so this is the only one roller coaster i have never been on, the last two years i said i would do it but i cant because every one says it hurts ur head, so let me know if it does hurt, is the ride smooth?
it's a lot smoother now due to the vest restraints. before that, this wasn't a superb ride but it was good, and now it's awesome with the new restraints!!
also if you see it running get on it b/c it breaks down alot

I rode this yesterday. I didn't find it to be painful at all. Maybe a little rough in the corkscrews but that's just because it's super fast. I'd ride it again.

+Jonathan Wilson Did you read my next post, written 2 minutes after the first? I apologized for my error, realized the ride WAS there, I'd missed it. Was riding rides on a badly sprained ankle so I actually missed a lot, couldn't do all of the walking on those hills! Hershey is the first amusement park I've been to that wasn't completely flat.

Cosme Nieto for me it was worse backwards but not in a hurting way. I did gray out tho (meaning that I nearly blacked out).
It is way less rough than it was with the old trains.

To anyone who had never rode this, I would highly not recommend it. The restraints are extremely uncomfortable, they squeeze you to the point where it's actually a little hard to breathe and it pushes right against your pelvis, which is like hell when your going backwards up that first hill. Along with that, you would think with this being a steel coaster, that it's a smooth comfortable ride. It is actually surprisingly rough and shaky, almost like an old wooden coaster. That combined with the worst restraints of any coaster I've ever been on just makes this not a good riding experience. I love all the other Hersheypark coasters except this one. Not a good ride.

I've been on lots of coasters but this one was the only one not enjoyable whatsoever. My neck hurt afterward and I had the worst headache. I guess backwards coasters are not for me.

Deja Vu presented some really awful dangers in its construction and physics. Or at least that's why they claimed to shut it down. I LOVED Deja Vu though, got a real thrill out of it. haha

LMAO Six Flags and Cedar Fair dont MAKE rollercoasters, only coaster manufacturers do. For example Intamin, B&M, Arrow, and Vekoma ur boomerang coaster manufacturers. So u are wrong, go google it. Its the same model.
